Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

I woke up because of the sunlight hitting my face. I didn’t close the window when I went to sleep last night. It’s been a year since I left and moved away to avoid Ethan.

When I told Marcus about my plan on living temporarily he didn’t agree at first, he told me that I was the one who pushed Ethan away so why would I leave but I explained to him why because I don’t want to hurt him anymore when our paths cross.

And because he knew that my decision was already final so he approved it, I promised to him that I would continue to work with them and I would still remain the architect and designer of the company because I did not want to violate the contract.

Over the past year I haven’t had any news of Ethan and my friend, I really meant to sever my connection with them because if I didn’t do that thing I would just feel guilty. Only Marcus and Eli could talk to me.

And since it was noon, I got up from bed and went to the dining table. “Finally you are awake. Come and let’s eat. ” she smiled at me.

She is Nay Eve, the owner of the house where I am staying, because I came across their place while looking for an apartment and she offered me that I could stay with her. Since she was alone in her house, she let me stay here because her daughter was in another country. She has a small grocery store and sometimes I help her.

In a year of staying here I can say that my life went well even though I often cry every night because I miss Ethan, but it is necessary to stand by what I told him that I no longer love him.

“That young man is really handsome and good at running a business.” Nay Eve suddenly ejaculated as we ate.

“Who?” I asked.

She pointed her finger at the  TV, I didn’t even notice it. And when I looked at the TV I saw the smiling face of the man I love who was in the news.

My chest throbbed fast because after many years  of not seeing him I saw him again even if it was only in the interview.  He has changed a lot and he has become more mature.

After we I sat down next to Nay Eve who was watching TV. I adjusted my seat when I heard a reporter question him. “We are happy that you are back again Mr. Hernandez because of your long absence, it is said that you are in another country. ”

I was surprised because of what I heard. Did Ethan go abroad? But why? I knew he wouldn’t leave the company for long.

Ethan’s emotions haven’t changed. “Yes and I’m thankful because even though I’ve been gone for a long time, there are still people who support and love me.”

“How are you now Mr. Hernandez? We found out what happened to you and fortunately you survived the brink of death. ”

“I believe that I still have a mission in this world and  also my guardian angel is guiding me so I still survived death.” Ethan said while laughing.

My forehead furrowed even more because of what Ethan said, what happened to him?

“Do you still want to say something Mr. Hernandez now that you’re back here in the Philippines?”

His face became more serious. “Yeah! I have this one person in my mind. I want to thank her for the pain she caused me. And because of her  I realize that I can do better and that I don’t have to chase the person who doesn’t see my worth.. I don’t blame her for what happened to me then and why I was in a coma. I’m sure that’s a sign to make me realize that she’s not the woman destined for me. I love her but at the same time I hate her, I hate her for hurting and changing me but also I thank her because I know if she didn’t hurt me that night maybe I’m still a fool until now.

Soon the news was over, but my mind was on what Ethan had said, I knew in myself that I was the one he was referring to.

“Did you hear her interview dear? It looks like a woman has hurt a billionaire, I can see the anger in his eyes. ” exclaimed Nay Eva.

“But somehow he was still kind because he didn’t mention the name whoever it was, but even if he is a well-known billionaire no one knows that he had a comma.”

“Yeah, no one would have known about that if he hadn’t spoken today.” I said.

“Maybe they hid it, I heard his friend took over his company temporarily and when in the interview his friend always saying that Mr. Hernandez is still in another country and having some business there.”

I didn’t know that Nay Eve is updated on the news about Hernandez because that’s also one of the things I am avoiding.

Eli and Marcus are in another country because they are also taking care of something, they have been there for almost 6 months already and only go home when needed. But they also don’t seem to know what happened to Ethan.
