Week has passed since I heard what Ethan said in an interview. I have been restless. I want to know what really happened to him and why he is in another country.

Nay Eve is not here now so I decided to cook because I was already feeling hungry, I didn’t realize that I had been sitting here for almost an hour.

I just took a hotdog and eggs to fry for easier cooking and then when I finished I started eating, I didn’t bother to cook another dish because I had no time to do it and my stomach couldn’t wait.

Soon I also finished eating and washed all the things I used. Then I went straight to the living room to work because Marcus asked me to do something. All I knew was that he would be home next week because his work abroad was done. While I still have many clients but I rejected some of them.

I leaned my head back in the chair, no matter what I did the questions about Ethan still came to my mind, what if I hadn’t left I might have found out what had happened. I closed my eyes first until I no longer realized I was asleep. I just woke up feeling when someone rang the doorbell at the gate.

Who is that? I didn’t expect any visitors and I know it is not Nay Eve since she will be back the next day.

And since I was the only one in the house I was forced to stand up to see who the person was outside.

When I came out I couldn’t see who the person was because our gate was high, when I opened the gate I almost lost my breath along with the masculinity of my eyes when I saw who was in front of me.

“Ethan…” I almost whispered his name.

I saw him smile as she stared at me seriously. “Won’t you let me in, Agatha?”

I was almost horrified by his voice when he said that to me. “W-what are you doing here? H-how did you know where I was? ” I asked, stunned.

“I guess you forgot who I am? I have all the money and connections and wherever you go I will still find you.

“Just go and leave Ethan, you have nothing to do here.” I said quickly.

“Why don’t you let me in? Is that how you welcome me after a year of not seeing each other?”NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“You have nothing to do here, so just leave please.” I begged.

“Maybe you forgot I’m one of the investors of the company you are working for and another one I just want to remind you that I’m also your client.”

“I already told your secretary that I will no longer continue as the architect and designer of your branch.” I said.

I saw him smile. “You can’t do that thing Ms. Perez because you signed the contract and if you breach it I can sue you. What will your other clients say when they find out that you don’t know how to be professional?  And it will affect the Montreal Company.”

“Be professional Ethan!” I said annoyed.

“I am professional here Agatha, how about you? I’m just telling you what can happen. You know, I’m a businessman. If you are thinking that I am doing this to have revenge on you then you are wrong. I’m not going to waste my precious time on the people who are not worthy and part of the past already.”

I was suddenly hurt because of what he said, he was right I was just part of the past. I didn’t think he might have just come here because he was already back and taking care of the jobs he left behind.

“Ethan please, my life is fine now. I don’t want to work with you.” I said.

“Agatha’s job is what we’re talking about so be professional because you already signed the contract to Hernandez . Remember that you will lose what you worked for how many years and it can ruin the image of Montreal. You don’t want your name to be put in the news for not being true to your words and for breaching the contract right? Think well.” he said and then walked to his car.

I quickly closed the gate and hurried back inside the house. When I got inside I was holding my chest because I was so nervous, I didn’t expect that we would meet today.

Why did I forget that I signed a contract with Hernandez Company as their designer for their new branch? I thought everything was fine because Ethan’s secretary didn’t call me back after we talked last time but how could it be okay if Ethan wasn’t there at that time.

So I’m still the architect of Hernandez’s new branch.

He was so different from the Ethan I had known before, now I see no emotion in him. I don’t want to think differently because I know him when it comes to work, he is serious about it.

It looks like I have no escape from him now, I don’t want to drag down Marcus’ company because of my selfishness. It took me a long time to work on whatever I have achieved now and I don’t want to lose this.

Knowing Ethan? He was true to his words. If he said that he will sue me for breaching the contract if ever I know he will do it.

I sit on the sofa while my senses are numb, my life is at peace for how many years and now I will be in trouble again. I had no choice but to face Ethan. I need to finish my work with him immediately, only one branch is needed to take care of their company and I know it won’t take a year.
