” Why are you dressing up so early?” Nelly asked as she stepped into Cathy’s room. She was surprised to see her dressed up so nicely, like she had somewhere important to go to.

“I saw several calls from Dementrio, I tried calling but it’s not connecting. I feel something is wrong.” She answered.

“Is that a reason to dress up so nicely?” Nelly asked, with huge suspicions.

” Don’t start now, Nelly. I’m not in the mood.”

“Okay…should I come with you?” Nelly asked.

” No please, take care of yourself. I will also need to go to the hospital.”

” Okay…Mr Kim came yesterday. He had court papers. Ryan filed a case.” She announced.

” I will deal with Ryan later. ” Cathy was in a rush to leave. She picked up her purse, grabbed her car keys and walked downstairs with Nelly who was telling her stuff she didn’t care about.

Just in the living room, she found 3 cops all dressed smartly. She was quite surprised to see them as she had not received any information from them since her kidnap.

“Good morning, officers.” She greeted politely.

” You remember me?” The older cop asked, he was the only one who didn’t have a cap on.

” Yes …you rescued me from the kidnap.” Cathy answered.

” Yes…we got a call from our officer. Your friend called reporting a Case .” He started.

” What case?” She asked, fearing it was Ryan.

” The man who had kidnapped you is interested in your properties. His name is Mr. Damien.”

She was calm when she heard Damien’s name.

” I know that, officer. I really need to go.” She was I’m no mood to talk about Damien.

” To see Mr. Dementrio?” He asked.

” Yes…how do you know?” Startled by his response.

” Mr Dementrio is dead, so is Mr. Damien who tried to kill you.” The officer revealed.

” What!” The glass which Nelly held shattered into pieces with the tea spilling like a crick. A maid came along with a broom like it had been programmed.

” This is surely a misunderstanding, Dementrio can’t die. We had a conversation yesterday. He called Cathy. Hold on, I will call Rhea.” Nelly stated.

She went they her phone, but it was unavailable.

” I will call Cindy.” She muttered.

Cindy answered after a ring,

“Can I talk to Rhea? I need to talk to her .” It was more like an order than a question.

“Rhea can’t talk right now. She’s been sobbing since.”

” Tell me what happened?

” Dementrio is dead..”

The phone fell out of her hands, Cathy had to hold her from falling.

” Demetrio is Dead.” Nelly mouthed.

Even though they had never been so close, she still felt sad he was dead. This was someone who had always tried to save Cathy from a problem.

” What…what happened to him.” Cathy asked, she still didn’t want to believe anything said was true.

“We have to go to the hospital now.”

” Put on something, you’re still in your nighties.” Cathy advised , Nelly had totally forgotten about changing her clothes after hearing such news.

She changed in a flash, Nelly wasn’t surprised to see how unkempt she looked but she didn’t blame her, she would have looked the same way if she had dressed a little late.

They got to the hospital and found Rhea weeping at one corner of the hospital, she sat on the ground while Ryan tried to console her. Cindy was at one end, she looked unhappy and sad.

Cathy rushed to where Rhea was,

” What happened Rhea?” She asked.

” He died…he tried to save me and he died.” She was still sobbing.

” Take it easy now.”

Ryan came towards her,

” You have to take your medicines now. Dementrio wanted you to be fine.”

” He’s the only who could take care of me, Damien killed him.”

” Calm down, Rhea. Everything is going to be fine.”

” Can we talk to the young lady?” One of the cops asked.

“Rhea… the cops want to talk to you. It’s urgent.”,

” Young lady, tell us what had happened.” The started, taking out his notepad and a pen.

” I woke up hearing voices, it was Dementrio. He had mentioned Cindy called talking about Damien’s plan to kill Cathy.” She started, trying to dry her tears.

” Okay go on.”

” He went upstairs to wear something when the doors open and I found Damien with a gun. Dementrio came back, and begged Damein to let me go…but there was only one way to call Cathy and persuade her but Cathy wasn’t taking her calls.”

Cathy quickly understood why she had gotten so many missed calls.

” They argue for sometime, I felt restless and so weak. Dementrio tried to help me but Damein stopped him, Dementrio didn’t listen and that was when a fight began and their was Exchange of bullet.”Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Was Damien alone?” He asked.

” No…there were two other guys outside or just one. A tall man, Dementrio had no idea and they killed him.” She explained it was difficult for the Cop to understand but he did soon after.

” You think your husband was dead that morning?” He asked.

” No…he was shot but he had told me he was going to recover. He made some calls to get help, I can’t remember what he said.”

” Dementrio was already dead before I got there. He loves you so much to have called me . I came right as soon as I heard there were shootings.” Ryan answered.

” You have an idea how Damien died?” He asked Rhea.

” Dementrio shot him when he tried to punch me.” She answered and started another cry .

” Your husband really loves you to protect you from a dangerous man like Damien.”

“We were expecting a baby , inspector. He was so excited to have a son. He left everything just so we could live in peace but someone betrayed him, the same person who he left everything for.”

” It’s not my fault, Damien threatened me at gunpoint to call.” Cindy defended even though she knew it wasn’t going to change how Rhea felt but she had to prove her innocence.

” I think he wanted the doors to be open by then,”

” Why didn’t you call after that to tell them the truth?” Nelly asked.

” He tied me up.”

” It was the same person who you were so worried about in the hospital that killed my baby’s father. He will grow without a father.”

” No…Rhea. Don’t say that.”

“Dementrio tried everything to make me happy, just so we could be like we used to buy your boyfriend Killed my baby’s father. I hate you Cindy.”

While they talked, Cathy watched Ryan. He looked really restless and always touched his pant’s Pocket like something was there. It took Cathy some time to realize it was his phone ringing. He acted strangely and restless for a while. After some minutes of discomfort, He sneaked out and she followed him.
