” Taxi, Taxi.” He yelled, flinging one of the first taxes which passed before him to a halt.

She had even forgotten to inform Nelly about where she was going. Left with no choice and scared for her safety, she muttered a prayer to the Heavens to keep her safe.

The drive continued and was becoming very tiring for Cathy, she wished they could just stop. Luckily, just in front of a beautiful building the taxi halted and Cathy was grateful. She was already getting tired and scared of the long journey. Ryan approached a fierce looking man while Cathy hid behind some bricks but she could still hear what they said.

” You sent for me, Don Chase.” Ryan bowed in greeting.

” Yes…I did. I had thought you were hiding from me.”

” Ryan would not have to leave,” she said from the corner where she was hiding as she slowly took steps to the men. Ryan was surprised to see her there.

” I’m not here for that, I want to know why you would forcefully take what belongs to my brother.”

Ryan was shocked to hear Cathy accept he was party of the family, a smile lit up his face but he maintained composure.

” To pay for some legal bill. The house was to be taken by your Father in law and he wanted to protect it by all means, I was the only option.”

“How much is it? I will pay off.”

“Then I have no problem with that, Miss Cathy. Let’s talk about this in my office.”

” We have to finalize it now, I don’t like how the last time went.”

How can she forget how he tried to force himself on her if not Mr. Anderson’s intervention. It’s the same reason she was so unhappy about Mr. Anderson’s death, she couldn’t easily forget everything he had done for her.

” I’m the daughter of Chester, it’s in our lineage to be Smart.”

” Why would Mr. Anderson sell the house at such a huge cost.”

Cathy walked away to make some calls, it took a long while and after that Nelly’s call came. She sounded so worried and Cathy apologized for not informing her when she was leaving. She promised Nelly she was fine and would come to the hospital in a few minutes. After a long while of call which got both men tired, Cathy ended the call and replaced the phone in her purse.

“I have made arrangements for the money bto be sent directly to you. I don’t want Ryan involved.” She said,
