” What are you doing here? You look so restless?” Ryan asked as soon as he was close.

” Is Rhea with you? Check if she’s fine.” She muttered without breathing.

” You’re quite funny. I just arrived here and you’re throwing different questions at me.”

She sat on the cold floor, her butt was already aching. She prayed silently for Rhea to be safe, Damien was the meanest person she has seen and unfortunately Rhea was right about Damien from the very beginning but she was blinded by love to think he couldn’t hurt her, he had made love to her under the pretense of him loving her, once again she had fallen for his trap. This trap was surely going to cost Rhea’s life, she was so scared about the whole turn out of things . As she stayed there, she hoped for a miracle. There was no way to inform Rhea about Damien’s plans, she bit her lips in anger.

The thought of her losing Rhea just because of her stupid emotions sent goosebumps to her skin. Her stomach rumbled in hunger but that wasn’t her concern now, she hoped someone would come over and free her, Damien had skillfully tied the rope and knocked her out with a substance which made her unconsious.

” Who did this to you?” Ryan asked in anger, knocking her out from her crazy thoughts.

” Tell me…” He yelled at her but she could only mouth words.

He gently removed the ropes that had been tied around her.

He had left the hospital a long while ago to find Cindy, hoping she could talk to Cathy about the properties. All he wanted was a little share, just to pay up the debt. He got to Cindy’s house and found the door open which was very unusual. He entered and found Cindy tied on both ankles and wrist with a strong rope. Her lips were sealed and she couldn’t speak or call for help.

” Hello, Rhea, are you okay?”

” This is Demetrio…her boyfriend.” The voice answered.

” Come fast, I’ve been shot. Rhea has fainted, I might not make it on time but make sure you take her to the hospital.”

” I live on 6th avenue, come with the cops . Make sure Rhea is taken to the hospital.”

The call ended,

” What happened?” Cindy asked, sensing something was wrong.

” Demetrio was shot, he requested I come to take Rhea to the hospital.”

” Oh my gawd, Damien shot him. I hope Rhea is not harmed.” Cindy broke down into tears as she raced around the room for her car keys. She found it and gestured to Ryan to come along with her so they could go save Demetrio.

( Same day, in the hospital)

“Dementrio.” Rhea screamed as she woke up. She turned around, finding herself in the hospital.

Demetrio must be outside receiving treatment, she thought.

She rushed outside the room and found Ryan who was with Cindy. She had a lot to talk about to Cindy but she would do that after checking on Demetrio.

” You’re awake, Rhea.” Ryan had a smile lit up his face as soon as he saw her.

” Where’s Demetrio? He was shot twice, He needs treatment.” She asked, looking restless as her eyes scanned everywhere for him.

“Rhea calm down.” Cindy tried to place her hands on her shoulder but Rhea flung her hands away.

” Stay away from me Cindy. It’s your fault.”

She turned to Ryan, grabbing him by the collar.

” Where’s Demetrio? Tell me where he is.” She ordered.

Ryan looked at her helpless,

” Put yourself together, Rhea ”

” I can’t…I want my baby’s father. Show me…” she broke down into tears.

” Rhea…” Ryan started slowly, not sure if he should tell her or she should find out herself.

” Tell me or I will do something.”

She rushed to Cindy,

” Please tell me what happened, Where’s Demetrio?”

” Demetrio is no more Rhea…He died.”

Rhea froze to where she was standing, she couldn’t be hearing properly.

” He’s not dead. Yes…Damien shot him but he called my name, he said he was going to get help for me .”

” He called me, ” Ryan came forward.

” Then where’s he? You heard him talk right?” She asked with a pitch of excitement.

” Before I got to the described house, he was dead already. He had instructed me to take you to the hospital when he called.” Ryan answered.

” No!” Rhea screamed.

Cindy couldn’t even console Rhea, she could only watch her. She felt really guilty and she could swear it was her fault. If she hadn’t allowed Damien to make love to her then he wouldn’t have threatened her about calling Demetrio to tell him Cathy’s life was in danger. Demetrio would still be alive and she could still sort out the fights that existed. Now everything was over, she had derived the innocent baby from growing without a father’s love. Ryan had no choice than to console Rhea, he didn’t understand the hatred between them but he knew the truth would be revealed soon to him.

He felt so sad and hurt for Rhea, she really loved Demetrio and her baby growing up with a father worsened everything.

“My baby’s father is dead, he was trying to protect me. It’s all your fault. You’re the cause.” Rhea rushed violently to her .

” Please Understand, It’s not my fault.”

” You hated him so much and he made so many decisions in favor of you. He disrespected his father’s last wish just so we could get happy and you killed him. You killed my baby’s father.” Rhea screamed so hard.

” Take it easy now… you know it’s not good for your baby?”

” My baby will grow without a father, ” Rhea continued to sob as she fell down to the ground.
