Chapter 1977
Chapter 1977
I was amused to see how much Aaron actually loved and valued me. So much that he was willing to make up with someone he hated.
It was at this point that I realized Arianna was also deeply loved.
It was five o'clock in the evening when I left the hotel. There was a grey Mercedes parked at the entrance. I went straight to it. As soon as the car was unlocked, I opened the passenger door and bent down to get into the car.
To my surprise, the driver was a woman.
"I'm very happy to see you again, Miss Reid. I'm Mullen, and I was previously hired to protect you and your children. After the accident, Mr. Reid assigned me to stay so that I could be available to you when you returned. Feel free to contact me should you encounter any issues."
Miller's frank explanation sounded enthusiastic and valiant. It embodied a militaristic spirit.
"Then I'll be sure to contact you very often from now on." I nodded unceremoniously and attached my seat belt, "Drive over to the Roberts." Within seconds of the buckle locking in place, the engine bellowed. A second later, the car sped away like an arrow.
The car parked steadily in front of the Roberts' villa twenty minutes later.
"We're here." Mullen calmly pulled the key out and switched off the engine.NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
I took a deep breath. It took me a while to calm down before I was able to unfasten my seat belt.
"Do you need me to accompany you?" Mullen asked calmly.
"No." I waved my hand, "If I bring someone along, Hendrix will get suspicious. Just head back and take care of Aurelia."
After that, I got out of the car.
Despite being able to breathe in the fresh air, I was still shaking. Mullen had driven so fast and precisely that I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate another ride.
After tidying up my clothes, I entered through the villa's main door. At the moment, Hendrix, who was heading out, collided with me.
"Miss Reid?" Evan saw me and was surprised to see me.
Wynn had his head down, looking listless. As soon as he heard my name, he immediately lifted his head up happily and ran towards me.
"Mommy! I thought you didn't want me anymore!
I'll call you mommy from now on. Don't ever leave me alone!" Wynn hugged my legs, his aggrieved voice tinged with sobs was terribly heartbreaking.
I quickly crouched down to
him. "Oh my dear baby, I had j
gone for a walk, how could I leave
you? We already promised each
other, didn't we?"
However, Wynn was still upset. He scrunched up his small face and thought for a moment. He then stretched out his right pinky and said, "We didn't make a pinky promise previously, that doesn't

I chuckled and reached out with my own pink to complete the promise. Wynn's face turned from gloomy to cheerful.
I noticed that he was in a clean tuxedo. I assumed he was going to a dinner party, so I asked casually, "Are you dining out tonight?"
Before Wynn could reply, Hendrix spoke with his usual dull voice, "We're going to visit my parents. I'll take you along with us."
Hendrix's parents, meaning the Marshall family.
This was going to be easy.
The corners of my mouth curled up into a smile. I agreed and said, "Wait for a moment, I'll go and change my clothes." "You don't need to," Hendrix replied, "Just be casual, they're not that strict."
After that, he led the way and got into the service vehicle that was parked in the yard.
This was great for me because I didn't have to change my clothes, and I was able to save a lot of time.
I wondered how brutal they were since they've tried to trap their own son and daughter-in-law several times before.
