Chapter 1976
Chapter 1976
"I won't do that!" I was amused by Aaron's absurd claim. "What I mean is, yes, the custody was awarded to them, but more precisely, it was awarded directly to Hendrix. If we kidnapped him, and then brought Wynn over, wouldn't we then be allowed to raise the child?"
Aaron took a deep breath. "Are you serious?"
I looked at him seriously. "Do I look like I'm joking?"
Aaron shook his head in disbelief. "I can't be too sure. Women are quick to change their minds, especially when it comes to love."
"Just answer me, will you help me do this?"
"I will." Aaron continued, "But it's a large operation. We'll need an in-depth discussion. Although the Marshall family isn't at their full strength, they're still somewhat powerful. It's won't be easy to get your hands on their cash cow. Let's head home for now. Our elders are waiting for us. We can't disappoint them..."This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
Aaron blabbered on for a while more, but all I heard was the first sentence. I calmly wiped my mouth and left the dining table with Aurelia. "Aurelia, you must be tired. Let's go find a place to take a nap."
Aaron reached his hand out to stop me, but withdrew it after I rolled my eyes at him. "Arianna, don't be so stubborn. The plane will be arriving soon. Let's head home. About the plan..."
Just then, we happened to reach the entrance of the VIP room. Standing by the doors were the airport's special police officers, who looked very serious and alert. Aaron quickly corrected himself. "We'll have to wait for the right time for that."
No matter how hard he tried to stop us, Aurelia and I walked away with ease. We waved our hands at him, not being bothered about anything. "I know, I know. Remember to bring the plane around!"
I didn't want to leave Jarold City, to leave this relatively familiar place. I was pushing my luck, but luckily, Aaron, who had been so tough in front of Hendrix, compromised.
Aaron drove the car to the best hotel in the city and checked us into the presidential suite.
As soon as he sat down, he video- called our family in Mesville. He then placed his phone on the table in a way where all three of us could be seen. Soon, the call connected.
The moment Pedro and Valerie saw me, tears welled up in their eyes. They couldn't speak as they were on the verge of crying.
Charles, who was retired, looked very healthy. He nodded with gratification and said repeatedly, "Thank goodness you're safe, you're safe..."

of, I felt a little awkward. However, the feeling of being remembered and missed felt nice. We chatted for almost half an hour. After which, Aurelia was feeling sleepy, so we ended the call.
Aaron walked over to Aurelia and carried her in his arms to the bedroom, not bothered about his phone that was unlocked. As he walked, he patted the little girl's back. He was very gentle with her, it was obvious he had done this many times before.
He tucked her into bed and turned off the lights before returning to the living room.
"Can you drive?" He asked me as he picked up his phone and tapped on it.
"I don't know." I shook my head. After I woke up, I was always being driven around by Irvin. Then, Hendrix arranged a driver for me. So, I never got the chance to even touch a steering wheel. "But I think I can try. Buy me a car?" I added.
Aaron ignored me. "That means you can't. Head downstairs later. The driver is waiting at the entrance of the hotel. I'll stay Aurelia, I won't be able to see you off."
"How did you know I wanted to leave?" I asked in surprise.
Aaron didn't even look up from his phone. "I know you way better than you think. Go back and figure things out. Once it's settled, you won't need to worry about it. As for kidnapping Hendrix, give me some time to plan it out. I don't like that guy, but since you want a family reunion, I'll do it for you. I'll just treat him as a nobody from now on."
