My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 1960

Chapter 1960

Freya sighed. "You can't say that. Your past was pretty complicated, but one thing I'm certain of is that Hendrix was just like an ordinary man when he was with you, complete with emotions and desires."

I rolled my eyes. "Is that a rare sight?"

There was no distinction between feelings. Even though Hendrix was incredibly gifted, it was normal for him to have emotions of happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy towards someone he loved. But when Freya said it, it sounded like a personal gift from Hendrix to Arianna.

It wasn't hard to imagine that when Arianna was with Hendrix, she must have had a very humble attitude.

"Whether it was rare or not, you won't know until you've regained your memories. Just to remind you, when you look at someone sincerely, don't be confused by their appearance, especially someone as complicated and difficult to understand as Hendrix. It'll take a lot of time for you to understand." Freya suddenly started to mock herself. "Anyways, I still haven't seen through my benefactor after so many years."

"Why do you call him your benefactor?" The information in the folder from earlier was only a rough history of Hendrix, so it didn't have any information about Freya's relationship with Hendrix.

Freya said, "He's invested in my company. What else should I call him?"

I was speechless.

Someone was urging Freya for a meeting over the phone, so she couldn't talk for very long. She quickly hung up after arranging to meet me in the afternoon.

Before I said goodbye, she suddenly interjected, "What got you asking these questions today? Did Hendrix see you again in private?"

I had a growing suspicion that Freya was a mind reader. She kept getting it right on her first guess.

"Well..." I wasn't going to deny it and answered awkwardly, "Besides that, yesterday I moved into his house and promised to be his son's mother." Suddenly, Freya raised her voice. "Do you remember now, or did Hendrix?"

Even though we weren't facing each other in person, it was easy to imagine the look of excitement and surprise in Freya's eyes.

I wasn't able to hold back my laughter. I said, "I'm sorry to disappoint you. The answer is no."

I really wanted to regain my memories, but reality was cruel.

"Fine, I got excited for nothing. I'm heading out for my meeting now. See you in the afternoon."

As soon as she hung up the phone, there was a knock on the door.

I got up to open the door and saw

Wynn in his pyjamas. He was

holding up a pile of well-stacked

clothes in his arms and looked at me expectantly. "Madam Reid, I don't know how to do this. Please help me.

"You don't know how to put on your clothes?"

This wasn't strange for an ordinary child, but Wynn could plan an invasion and direct bodyguards. With such a high IQ, how could he not know how to dress himself?

"Not really." Wynn frowned and looked at me. "I'm going to be late. Help me."

I immediately gave in and took the clothes from his hand. "Well, Wynn, I can teach you, but we must have rules. You are already six years old and must learn to take care of yourself. Do you understand?"

"I do!" Wynn nodded cleverly, squeezed into the room, took off his shoes, and sat on the sofa. He

happily waved his small hands at me, baring his white teeth.

I laughed. A child's world was simple. Just putting on clothes would make them happy.

He had to change into his school uniform, it had the emblem of an international school on it. There were three articles of clothing just for his upper body alone, a button down shirt, a vest, and a coat. The collar was matched with a red plaid tie. This was a mini version of the three-piece suit. Wynn couldn't be blamed for not knowing how to put it on. I almost forgot the vest myself.
