Chapter 1961
Chapter 1961
While I was dressing him, Wynn said, "I don't like school. The children are all so childish. They don't even know what a settlement is..." I nodded absent-mindedly, but I secretly felt shocked. This kid knew nothing about self-care but was so well versed in computer science. In fact, I didn't understand anything about the things he was talking about!
I was worried that my IQ would be put in question, so I quickly pushed him out. "Hurry up now. Don't be late!"
As soon as we walked to the door, we bumped into Hendrix, who was heading out for work.
We looked at each other, and I was stunned on the spot. The atmosphere felt a little awkward.
"Mr Facism!" Wynn was in a very good mood. He ran straight towards Hendrix and turned around haughtily. "Madam Reid put this on for me!" "Mm." Hendrix didn't seem to mind him referring to me that way. He replied and raised his head to look at me, his expression was indifferent. "Its Sunday today." "Oh." I was still mad at him over what had happened earlier this morning and said grumpily, "So?"
"So he doesn't have to go to school today."
I was speechless. I looked at Wynn helplessly, expressing my awkwardness from being tricked with the aggrieved look on my face.
But Wynn didn't understand me. He thought that I was just making a funny face. He winked at me with a smile and giggled.
I rolled my eyes secretly. There was probably going to be a lot more of this in the future.
"By the way," I suddenly remembered my appointment with Freya, so I changed the subject. "I'll be going out later."
Hendrix asked, "Where are you going?"
"It's a personal matter." I think he might have misunderstood. This was a statement, not a request.
Hendrix pondered with his eyes closed. He looked straight ahead and said slowly, "I'll be traveling to a neighboring city this afternoon. You have to stay with Wynn. You should have told me your schedule beforehand, my plans take priority over yours."
"Can I bring Wynn along?" Or so I
thought, there was no way that
alone with a woman whom
Hendrix would allow his son to travel
had
only met a couple of weeks ago.
Or could it be that even he couldn't tell whether I was Arianna or simply a substitute?
Hendrix's eyes flashed with
impatience. He then said reproachfully, "You're not going to bring Wynn along? Are you going to leave him here alone?"
"That's not what I meant..." I explained hastily. "I'm going to see Freya."
"I'll get the driver and the car ready," Hendrix said as he walked downstairs.
At some point, Wynn had found his microcomputer and was filming himself.
Was he always so narcissistic? "Wynn?" I asked.
"What?" He continued to look at the camera at an angle. From my perspective, he looked quite handsome.
I smiled, squatted down in front of
him, and asked seriously, "Your dad said that I can take you out today. Does that make you happy?
"Really?" Wynn's eyes lit up instantly. "Great! I can go out and play with you!"
I reached out to ruffle the top of his head. I then spotted his screen out of the corner of my eye.
I reached out to grab it. The boy didn't hide it away and turned the screen over for me see.
Wynn had registered himself a social media account and he had recently posted something. It was a selfie.
He posted it with one simple sentence: Don't worry, I'm fine.
Even though he didn't explain it, I could tell from a glance that it was a message for 'Arianna'.
There were less than ten posts on his profile, but they had the same format and all of them were a different picture of Wynn.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
