Chapter 1959
Chapter 1959
His sparkly eyes and childish voice had me smitten.
When I looked at Hendrix's malicious face, I realized that even though his facial features were handsome, he most certainly was a playboy.
In comparison, his child, who was holding on to me, was perfect.
Thinking about this, I didn't bother about being elegant. I tried my best to break free from Hendrix. As soon as I got free, I squatted down and kissed Wynn on the face. "Wynn, you're the best!"
To rile Hendrix up, I deliberately kissed him loudly.
Then, I swaggered over to the bedroom.
Behind me, Wynn hadn't give up and continued standing on his tiptoes coquettishly towards Hendrix. "Daddy, I want you to hug me like Madam Reid did!"
Hendrix replied calmly, "Madam Reid?"
Wynn pouted. "Yeah! Madam Reid, hugs please!"
"Are you sure?" Hendrix said in a strange tone. "No hug."
A moment of silence passed, then Wynn understood and shouted, "It's Mommy!"
Hendrix picked him up. The entire corridor was filled with Wynn's cheerful shrieks.
As I listened to the father and son getting along, I couldn't help but smile. My heart was filled with an indescribable gentle feeling.
As I sat on the bed, I thought about the pile of documents from earlier and felt uneasy.
So, I called Freya.
Freya was surprised that I was looking for her. "Arianna!"
"Freya." I tried my best to control my emotions from being called "Arianna" and kept calm. "I have something to talk to you about."
"Go ahead. I'll tell you everything I know." I heard the sound of a door closing on Freya's side.
I thought for a moment and decided to be more indirect. "About Hendrix, what kind of person is he?"
During my time with Hendrix, I found a problem. When I was with him, I would always be passive. If I wanted to take the initiative, I had to understand what type of person I was facing.
On the other end of the line, Freya was silent for a moment and didn't answer right away.
I figured that she was aware of my intentions and felt a little guilty about it. "If it's not convenient for
you to say so, it's fine." "No," Freya said solemnly. "It's just that my understanding of Hendrix isn't as clear as yours. You're the one who understands him best. Most of the time, outsiders like us don't know what he's up to. I can't give an accurate account of him." NôvelDrama.Org © content.
"It's okay. Just tell me." I breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Well, okay. Let me think about how to explain this." After thinking for a while, Freya came up with a conclusion. "He is incredibly talented, and is very insightful, but he does love you. When you're in danger, he gets a meltdown. And his ability to recognize pretentious batches is really lacking..." Content

As the richest man in the country, he was very capable and had vision. There was no doubt about that.
But having meltdowns because of love sounded greatly exaggerated. With Hendrix's vengeful character, wouldn't women be toyed to death by him? Moreover, how could such a smart person be blind towards pretentious batches?
I was doubtful and asked sarcastically, "Well, maybe what you said is true. You might not know much about men. How could they not know if someone was deliberately approaching them?
They are probably enjoying the fun in secret!" "Pfft..." Freya laughed shamelessly.
"What are you laughing at? Was it something I said?"
"No." Freya restrained herself and joked. "After six whole years, you're really different from how you used to be. In the past, if I said that Hendrix didn't know how to restrain himself, you would have defended him no matter what."
"Huh? Arianna was that blind?" Realizing that I had said something wrong, I quickly corrected myself. "Was I so stupid before?"
