Xander corked a brow at Charles hoping to get a reasonable explanation from him, he couldn’t help but feel his cousin’s intension weren’t pure at all..

“Don’t get her involved in your shitty lifestyle.. she’s my friend”

Charles snorted shoving Xander aside, he casually strode past Becky heading to the exit..

“Umm.. I’d have loved to hang out with you both but I kinda made my own plans” Becky murmured and walked into Xander’s open arms..

He whispered a few words next to her ear which made her chuckle..

“Shelly are you coming or not?”

“So.. we have the whole house to ourselves, where do you suggest we watch the movie? right here or up in my room?”

Bianca stood up looking around the living room, her eyes settled on the large flat screen TV which sat on a media console..

She cleared her throat feeling an underlying meaning to Xander’s words..

“Uh I think this place is-

“Terrible! I know right? anyone can just walk in on us having our own private time, but my room is off limit..”

Bianca’s eyes rolled, she got where his thoughts were driving at, he was such a naughty guy always finding ways to get touchy with her..

“Xander! I think this place is perfect.. remember? we’re just going to watch a movie and nothing else is happening” she said meaningfully with a reminder which he got..

“What do you mean by something? I don’t know what you’re talking about Bianca.. make me understand” His crisp tone buzzed around her ear sending cold chills down her body..

She cleared her throat walking to the couch she had previously occupied..

“Are we going to watch the movie or not?”

Xander’s smirk grew wider as his gaze fell on the TV’s remote on the couch next to him, he picked it up when she wasn’t looking at his direction and skillfully placed it into a vase sitting atop a shelf..

He returned back to her side in search of the TV’s remote which wasn’t lost..

“I can’t seem to find the remote.. have you seen it?”

Bianca adjusted on her seat searching for the remote too, she shook her head in response..

Great! the TV remote was gone, what a date, she had suggested they went to the theatre but no, he wanted it to be at his house..

“I think Charles must have taken it to get his little revenge on me, but we can still use the TV up in my room”

Bianca sighed in defeat, she had a feeling that the missing remote control had something to do with him..

Hardin’s hand froze on air for the third time as he contemplated whether to knock on the door or not, she has not stepped out of her apartment yet, which meant that she hasn’t had lunch either…

He heaved a deep breath and this time, his knuckles met with the door’s surface..

He placed the brown paper bag in front of her door and backed away slowly until he was out of sight..

Immediately he was gone, the door opened to reveal an all smiles Alexa whose smile fell as soon as she saw no one standing in front of her..

From her expression, it was clear that she had expected a particular person to knock on her door..

“Who’s there?”

She poked her head out of the door hoping to see just a glimpse of him or anyone it might have been, she turned around about to head in when her eyes caught the brown paper bag..

“Huh? who placed this here?” She questioned herself picking it up, she turned around walking back into her room..

The paper bag felt warm, she was quick to take out it’s content which happened to be a food vacuum..

Her instincts immediately knew where this little gift was from..

Just the right timing for him to bring this to her, she was just about to attempt cooking again..

The sweet aroma coming from the opened vacuum tortured her nose, close enough to what she had been craving which was spaghetti and meatballs..

But he made chicken noodle soup for her..

She picked up the spoon and scooped a little blowing air from her mouth into it, she raised it to her lips about to take the first bite but suddenly paused..

What if this was made by Clarissa? she stared at the inviting meal with a small pout..

She pushed all thoughts aside as she took a bite out of her spoon..

The taste seemed so familiar, it was definitely Hardin who made this..

Does he really care about her? or was he just worried that she might blow up his grandmother’s house if she attempted to cook for the second time?

“Maybe both” she thought out loud..

Olivia stared at Damien’s outstretched hand, he gave her a nod urging her to accept it..

She placed her hand on his and was suddenly pulled by him, she fell next to him on the huge bed with a shocked expression on her face..

“Damien!”

Damien chuckled pushing her loose strands of hair behind her ear, he cupped her chin with one of his palm staring lovingly at her..

“There you go again with that look!” she complained pounding his chest playfully..

“What? I can’t help but get lost whenever I look at you, you’re special and just too beautiful to ignore..”

Her smile broaden at his cheesy remarks about her, something definitely changed between them, it was obvious..

Unlike before when they were always at each other’s throat, arguing and fighting nonstop no matter where their paths crossed..

“So when were you going to tell me about the book you purchased?”

Damien’s eyes widened in surprise, she knew about his books? if yes, then he was very bad at hiding things..

“I don’t recall purchasing any book..” He lied itching the nape of his neck..

That book was supposed to help him win over any lady’s heart he desired, he had followed the first few steps carefully which showed some good effect..

“You liar! do you think it’s that easy to win over my heart Mr Sterling? you have to work so hard for that because I’m not easily moved by good looking men..”

She felt her back touching the bed the very next minute she whispered those words to him..

He made sure not to press his weight on her as he placed both hands on the bed and by her side..

“Hold on! the doctor strictly warned about you stressing yourself with any form of activity”

“I don’t follow anyone’s rules, I live by my own rules that’s why I’m Damien Sterling, and besides that, I wasn’t really hurt.. I just had a little too much to drink that’s all”

He dipped his head to her neck running the tip of his nose along its neck teasingly, he just loved her soothing scent..

It drove him crazy whenever he comes close to her..

“Why would you even get drunk? that’s just the most dumbest way to get out of a problem”

Damien brought his gaze back to her face with a very serious expression on his face..

“I just couldn’t help it, I hated myself so much after I saw the look of disappointment that crossed your face then.. I couldn’t bear it. It felt like a part of me was leaving, do you know why? that was because I never wanted you away from me..”

Her heart thumped gently with every word that fell out of his mouth, his hands caressed her chin before he planted a quick kiss on her lips which caught her off guard…

“I don’t know if you know this, so I guess you should know now, I love you Olivia. And no this has nothing to do with you being the only lady who can arouse me, I genuinely mean it”

A short silence followed afterwards, Damien had a hunch that his confession would make her speechless..

Surprise was clearly visible on her face, his words replayed over and over again in her head..

She pulled away from his hot stare, she assumed he was awaiting her response which she didn’t have yet..

He raised her head up once again with his finger under her chin..

“I don’t expect your answer now if that is the reason you’re quiet, we’ve got a lot of time ahead of us to sought our feelings out.. but just have this at the back of your mind Olivia…”

“Damien Sterling has taken a liking to you and no other man is allowed to chase after you as long as I’m breathing” he stated in a rigid tone while his gaze fell on her lips she was biting..

His face inched closer to hers as he locked his lips on her soft pink ones..
