Tracy pulled her eyes away from Asher who lay on the bed in an unconscious state with a white bandage wrapped around his head..

Her once warm eyes darkened by the mere sight of Rihanna who just came entered the room..

“Why are you here?!”

“I don’t want to be here either but then I couldn’t help but feel the need to talk to you”

Tracy faced the other way, whenever she sets her eyes on Rihanna, her blood boils so much.

Deep down she knew that Asher’s fall wasn’t really an accident like she had claimed it to be..

Asher would have clarified this himself except that he hasn’t woken up after the fall..

There was more that she wasn’t aware of and whatever it was certainly won’t be good for everyone..

Rihanna still loved Damien a lot and she was willing to do anything except that this wasn’t just love, it was turning into an obsession..

“Look.. I know you probably still think that I pushed Asher on purpose, but sadly that’s not the case, I’m not devious to family, but I can be if they turn out to be against my wishes.. then I’m sorry you’ve awoken the beast in me”

A meaningful smile crossed her lips as her mum’s eyes rounded in shock..

A look of bewilderment appeared on Tracy’s face at the shocking meaning behind her daughter’s words..

“What are you up to Rihanna?.. just stop it, put it aside because you won’t be spared this time”

Nathan noticed Xander’s uncomfortable movement on the couch, this was shocking to him because the Xander Gray he has heard and seen was usually outspoken no matter the situation he found himself in..

“I asked a question” he reminded him once more just Incase he had forgotten the question thrown at him..

Bianca suddenly wished she could disappear into thin air, now she understood what it meant to have an overprotective father..

Her heart thumped as the silence that followed Xander’s answer grew worse, it was as if they were waiting for their final verdict..

“Pure in what way?” Nathan questioned back with a narrowed gaze..

“Umm.. just let it be, Xander mentioned earlier that he had a meeting to-

Nathan’s index finger paused on air which was a gesture directed to Bianca, his eyes never left Xander’s not even for a second..

“I like your daughter.. and she’s my girlfriend”

Bianca sank back into her seat because she felt Nathan’s surprise gaze on her..

“You’re quite aware that she isn’t one of those ladies who you move around with”

“Of course, she’s different and that’s the more reason I’m attracted to her”

Nathan sprang up to his feet sharply startling the two, he took slow steps closer to Xander who was still seated on the couch..

When he was close enough to him, he leaned down peering straight into Xander’s sharp blue eyes..

“If I find out that you dare to look at another lady and there by break my daughter’s heart, I’ll make one of your legs shorter than the other” he threatened with an eery grin..

A cold chill ran down Xander’s spine as the threat he just received pierced into his bones..

“You can count on me.. I won’t break her heart”

“Great! so when will you be introducing us to your family? just to be sure your parents approve of your relationship with Bianca..”

Bianca was quick to rise up to her feet, there was no way they were going back to that awful silence once again..

“Whenever you all are ready to meet them”

“Okay.. just give us a moment” She murmured to Xander while she pulled Nathan out of the living room with her..

Xander’s hand went to his chest stroking it gently, that was a relief, he had no idea that he had been holding his breath before now..

“What were you thinking scaring him like that?” Bianca questioned in a hushed tone..

“What? I had to, that’s my role to play and I enjoyed it..”

Bianca’s palm met with her forehead, she didn’t find it fair at all, what if she had interrogated him that way?

“Jeez! you’re starting to act like mum.. don’t you see how uncomfortable he was?”

Nathan placed a hand on her shoulder pushing her back a bit..

“Okay, maybe it’s time you start acting like I’m your dad, it’s really weird when people mistake you as my girlfriend”

“Well how about you start by shaving off part of your hair? that way people get to see a bald man and a pretty lady.. it’s definitely giving the father and daughter vibe” She teased.

Damien traced every of Olivia’s little movement with his eyes as he lay on his bed, she wiped the little stains of food bits off his lips with a white napkin..

Olivia met his eyes with an arched brow, she noticed his eyes had been glued on her since they left the hospital..

He gave a protest about his stay at the hospital, he thought that if he came back home, Olivia was sure to follow him..

“Uh.. is there something on my face? you’ve been staring for a while now”

“Yeah I’m just scared that this might be my illusion and you’ll disappear soon”

She raised her hand to his cheeks pulling it teasingly with a wide small..

“If it hurts then it’s not your illusion..”

A serious expression crossed his face recalling the whole scenario that took place in the last few days..

Whenever they tried to be happy, something or someone just pops out of nowhere and ruin everything for them..

“I’m sorry” He suddenly murmured which caught her off guard, her smile slowly died down..

“It’s okay”

“No it’s not.. you were right, I’m a selfish liar, I should have told you the truth earlier but.. I was scared, I was scared you might find a valid reason to leave from my side.. and it hurts so much to think of it”

Olivia took the tray containing a bowl of chicken soup and placed it on the table next to the bed..

“Just forget all that Damien… I believe we can always start afresh whenever things turn out bad between us..”

Damien sat up from the bed and pulled her into his arms stroking her back gently..

“You have no idea what this mean to me Olivia”

Charles raised his head from his phone to the couple that just entered the room, his gaze rested on Bianca who waved her hand to him..

“Hi”

“Uh.. I thought you had plans today Charles” Xander asked with a sharp glare..

Today was supposed to be his time alone with Bianca and he had reminded his cousin a thousand times today about his plan..

So what the hell was he still doing over here?

“I changed my mind” he replied in a bored tone staring at the screen of his phone..

Xander’s patience was wearing off, Charles was clearly trying to annoy him and it was definitely working..

He turned to Bianca with a wide grin as he placed both hands on her shoulder guiding her to a couch.

“Just give a moment” he whispered.

He turned away from her heading to the couch which Charles occupied..

“What the f*ck bro? we made an agreement last night didn’t we? what are you still doing here? I swear if you ruin my date I’ll kill you”

Charles rolled his eyes at Xander’s threat, “Listen baby cousin I’m just here to keep a close eye on you so you don’t do what you’re not supposed to do..”

“You guys are both aware that I can hear you right?” Bianca inquired..
