Mummy, Daddy is on his knees

Damien’s lashes fluttered open after a loud gasp escaped from his mouth, Olivia who had been sitting by his side in the last hours turned to him in surprise with a panick streaked face..

“Damien.. you’re awake” she cried out in surprise..

He tried to figure out who the figure next to him was, but he couldn’t make anything out of his blurry vision..

“Just relax.. I’ll go get the doctor”

She left the ward and returned shortly with the doctor and a nurse..

She stood aside as they checked up on him after they were done checking up on him, the doctor turned to her with a small smile..

“He’s stable now..”

Her legs moved closer to the bed where she took a peek at him, his eyes were still shut, could he have fallen unconscious again?

“Stay back and keep him company since you’re his only family around”

The doctor turned around and exited the ward along with the nurse..

She pulled out a stool and took a seat on it staring at his calm face..

“Damien..” She called out softly for his eyes to open..

He turned his head to her staring blankly at her face like she wasn’t there..

Olivia’s face flushed in embarassment, was he purposely keeping quiet to make her feel worse than she already was?

Damien pulled his face away from her direction staring around his unfamiliar surroundings, sure enough this was a ward..

He shut his eyes again when he heard her voice calling out his name softly, funny how his mind kept on messing with his head in the last days where he saw her image everywhere he stared at..

He couldn’t really tell the difference between his illusion and his clear mind..

Olivia staying by his side right now calling out his name softly was only his wishful thinking, she was still mad at him..

“Are you ignoring me intentionally because I did same to you? I should be the annoyed one not you!”

Damien on the other hand opened his eyes once more when he felt a hand brushing through his hair..

His gaze widened in surprise at the figure sitting next to him at the verge of bursting into tears, was she really here or was it just his head?

He raised his shaky hand slowly to her face afraid that she might disappear from his sight soon, but instead his fingers grazed past her chin..

“Olivia”

“You fool! what were you thinking getting yourself drunk? are you aware that you almost died? I’m still very upset with you!” She scolded amidst tears..

Damien raised his hand over his face to the oxygen mask resting on his face, he pulled it off inhaling a deep breath..

He tried to sit up only to be held back down by her..

“What do you think you’re doing? stay back” she cautioned in a firm tone.

“You were scared of me dying?” he questioned..

Olivia snapped her head to the side as she wiped her face with a blue napkin..

“Who said that I was scared? if you had died then who would pay my monthly salaries?”

Damien chuckled, he honestly couldn’t believe his eyes, if this was a dream, he wished to remain asleep for a while longer..

Nathan stared at the familiar young man who just opened the door for him, he took a step back to be sure that he was at the right place..

“Uh.. you are?” Xander questioned with a blank expression, hearing no response from latter made him close the door shut..

He returned back to Bianca’s side, they were making snacks together for their planned movie date at his home…

“Who was it?”

Xander shrugged his shoulders “Just some weird and mute man”

The doorbell rang again this time Bianca took the initiative to get it herself, if it was some unknown stranger ringing her doorbell like that, they better get ready to feel her leg striking their butts..

She unlocked the door and was left speechless, it was Nathan, her supposed dad..

What was he doing here? and why did her mum not inform her of his arrival?

Just sometime with Cassie and he was already getting the hang of visiting people without informing them beforehand..

She forced a large smile which Nathan saw through, his eyes raked her exposed legs and shoulders..

She was on a thin strap top coupled with a small black short.

He rolled up his blue shirt sleeves as he walked into the apartment..

Bianca closed the door behind her with her eyes shut tightly..

“Xander is definitely going to die today” she murmured beneath her breath as she followed behind Nathan..

Xander raised his head from the egg he was about to break when a chilly glare fell on him..

Few minutes later…

The proper ventilated living room felt too hot for Xander as he was currently being stared at like a criminal..

He had no idea that Bianca was related to this man, and why does he even look familiar to him? or was he Bianca’s secret boyfriend?

He pointed out to the two who were sitting close to each other on the couch, they instantly drifted apart from each other like..

“I had no idea you were coming-

“Who is he?” Nathan asked ignoring her words, his eyes never left the blue eyed man sitting across from him..

Bianca cleared her throat rubbing her hand gently against her thighs, she met Xander’s gaze briefly and smiled..

“He’s my friend”

Nathan’s brows arched, he didn’t believe that they were ‘just friends’ like she had claimed, this particular gray offspring had a reputation of fooling around with different ladies..

“Just a friend? I thought we were way past that title, or is this old dude your boyfriend?”

Bianca’s eyes grew large, this fool just gave Nathan a reason to dislike him..

“Xander! that’s my dad!” She whispered to him in a low but firm tone..

The word ‘dad’ replayed over and over again in his head..

Since when has she had a dad? when he had done a background check on her, she only had a mother who was a single mum.. what are your intentions with my daughter?”

Xander’s Adam apple bobbed up and down as he gulped down hard..

He was done for and he knew it..
