It’s been a month since Agatha decided to live here in Hernandez again. At first I didn’t expect to see her here the night I came home from work, I asked her what she needed but she said that she wants to live here, she wants to make up for me but I keep on ignoring her.

I’m already here in my office because I have a meeting but I’m also going home this afternoon because I’m sleepy and want to rest. It’s not easy to be with Agatha in a house again because even though I’m angry with her I still love her but I don’t want to take a risk again.

I don’t often go home early because I want to avoid her, I don’t want to be close to her because I know she will just lie to me again and again. If she really loved me, she would have fought back before.

I remember the conversation we had before I left the house this morning.

She used to wake up early and prepare my breakfast.

FLASHBACK….

I was about to go to the dining room when I saw Agatha.

“Where is manang?” I asked her.

“They are still asleep because I told them earlier that I will be the one to cook breakfast for you so they don’t need to wake up early.” she said with a smile.

“I’ll just eat at the office.” I said.

“Ethan, it’s still early so you still have time to eat here, so you don’t have to order your secretary to buy you breakfast. ”

“Part of my secretary’s job is to follow what I will order or instruct him to do and it’s better that I eat my breakfast in the office to be sure that the food is safe. I don’t want to get poisoned.” I strongly promise.

“Do you think I will poison you? You’re impossible Ethan! I won’t do that to you.” she said weakly.

I just stared at her blankly and turned my back on her.

END OF FLASHBACK….

I was in deep thought when the door suddenly opened and Gian entered.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him.

“Chill! It’s so early to be upset fucker. I think you’re not in the good mood now, is it because of Agatha?” he asked.

“Don’t mention her name! I don’t care about that woman. ” I said seriously.

“Hmmm! Bro I know that you still love her even if you are saying that you don’t care about her anymore. ”

“You know my reason and it’s because she is the architect. of the company’s new branch. She signed the contract already so she needs to work for it. ” I strongly promise.

“I told you already that I want her to experience the pain she caused me.” I said.

“But bro, what happened to you is not her fault, I know she hurt you because she said that she doesn’t want and loves you anymore, but it’s not her fault that you had an accident and you went into a coma so don’t blame it all on her. ”

“And what do you want me to do? Just let it all go and forgive her? To accept her again in my life as if nothing had happened? It’s not that easy. ” I said.

“I know your point but she told you that she loves you and we both know that she does everything to make up for you even if you don’t treat her right in your house.”

“She deserves it, not because I love her. I will accept her just like that. How many times has she left me and I’m afraid to trust her again or to take a risk. What if she’s just doing this because she’s guilty of leaving me? What if I forgive her and she leaves me again? ” I said

“You two are giving me a headache. I didn’t know you two would end up in this situation.”

“We wouldn’t have ended up like this if she hadn’t been selfish. At first I allowed her to go because I knew what she needed so she could move on after the death of our parents. I also let her go a second time around for her dreams but when I thought that everything was in the right place and we could be together she chose to leave again.” I said in a full of resentment.

“Everything will be okay, if you’re really into each other you will definitely get along.”

I didn’t answer and just finished reading the papers on my desk. Soon Gian stood up so I looked at him. “Are you leaving?” I ask.

“Yeah, I need to fetch Maxine”

“Alright!” I answered him.

“Will you come to the bar later?” he asked me as he was at the door.

“Where and what time?” I ask.

“Same place at 7pm.”

I just nodded to him and looked back at the papers I was holding.
