Ethan POV

From the moment I left that room, my mood immediately deteriorated. Belle suddenly came, that’s why my conversation with Agatha was interrupted.

“What’s wrong?” she asked me.

Belle and I are business partners so we are often together because we set up another branch and we have become close as well. She is the woman you can trust in everything because she is not like others with different motives. She is also my friend and college classmate.

I looked at her . “Nothing.” my short answer. We are here today at the Montreal Company’s thanksgiving party.

“You know Ethan if something is bothering you, you can tell me you know that. Ever since we visited Montreal, you’ve always been thinking deeply. ”

“I don’t know what I’m going to do Belle, because I feel like she’s been mad at me since she came back.”I honestly said.

“Wait, W-who?” she asked me in surprise.

“Agatha.” I answered.

Her eyes widened. “Don’t tell me she’s the woman you told me about?”

I immediately nodded so she quickly slapped me on the shoulder. “That’s why you’re like that because you’ve seen the woman you love again. She’s beautiful in person, isn’t she? And I didn’t think she was the one who built the newly opened hotel and resort in Montreal. Do you know many clients and investors want her. ”

“I know that’s why I agreed to invest in Montreal so that I can know her whereabouts and another thing is I want her  to design our new branch.” I said.

“Perfect! People really change when they are in love, they will do everything for that person. That’s why you are not searching for another architect because you want Agatha.”

“That’s not a problem for me because I know I can easily convince her since Hernandez is important to Montreal.” I said. “What I’m thinking now is how can I talk to her  seriously about us again.” I added.

Sheraised an eyebrow at me. “As far as I know you didn’t have any relationship even in the past. Don’t be assuming!”

“You know you’re very supportive.” I said.

Sheclaughed. “Then take a risk. How will you know the answer if you don’t try? Look Ethan you said before that she left because she wanted something to prove and reach her dream. You can’t blame her because almost everyone has dreams and I think she also did that for you. ”

“What do you mean?” I asked because I was wondering what she meant.

“Don’t be stupid Ethan! You are a Hernandez and your family is well-known. We women also feel insecurities in our bodies. And I think she wants you to be proud of her when she becomes your girlfriend. Of course you are known in “business and she doesn’t want other people to question you why her, why you choose and love her even if she is not rich. She does everything to be worthy of you. And look at her now she is known as a great Architect and Designer.”

Belle has a point, why didn’t I think of that thing? All I could think was that she was just being selfish and she was only thinking of herself.

But I’ll admit that I was hurt the last time we talked before she left, because I feel like I’m not part of her life and dreams. If she just tells me the truth I will not stop her from doing what she wants and I will support her but she chose to hurt me.

So now I’m having a hard time telling or showing her that I still love her. She hurt me but it hasn’t changed the fact that I still love her .

“I don’t know how to start again.” I said.

I saw her laugh so I frowned. “What’s funny with what I said?” I asked her.

“I can see that she still loves you.”

“What do you mean? I mean how can you be sure about it? ” I ask again.

She looked at me seriously. “I know you didn’t notice it, it’s obvious that she is annoyed when she sees me with you, even if she doesn’t say it’s obvious how she looks at me or how she looks at us, I can see jealousy in her eyes. ”

“So you mean she doesn’t want to see you with me?” I clarify.

“Exactly! You know we women don’t want to see the person we love with another woman, especially when we see that they are close to each other and often together. ”

I smiled because of what Belle said. “So you think I still have a chance? When I talk to her again and tell her that she is still the one I love?

“Don’t assume first! I’m just saying what I notice but you two can decide about it. ”

I looked at her . “I thought you still supported me but it’s like you’re telling me not to be complacent.”

“I am telling the truth, I will not decide the fate of the two of you. What I am saying is you have your time now, so take a risk ”

“At least you have a point. I need to pursue her now before it’s too late. ” I promise.

I am very grateful to Belle because somehow she helps me think of what needs to be done, I am still lucky because I met her who is willing to support me in everything.

I thought when Agatha left I would forget about her, I tried to do that and I dated another woman but it didn’t last long either.

“So what are you waiting for? Talk to her. ” After she said that she told the driver that we were going to Montreal.

“What are we going to do there?” I asked her in surprise.

She raised an eyebrow at me. “You are so smart that you stupid sometimes. You want to talk to her right? So we need to know if she is in Montreal now.”

“But we are not sure if she is there.” I said.

“Stupid! That’s why we will go to the Montreal building to find out if she is there. I will take you there and I will be the one to meet our client. ”

When we arrived outside the entrance of the Montreal Company I immediately asked the guard if Agatha was there but he said it didn’t come in so I got back in the car and told Belle to take me to the condo where she lives.

When we arrived at that building, Belle immediately said goodbye so I went straight inside and asked the receptionist what Agatha’s unit number was. She gave it to me because she knew me and I was also one of the investors of this building.

Sounding the elevator I quickly got out and walked towards her unit. I knocked on the door several times and when she opened it I immediately pulled her inside.

“W-what are you doing here Ethan?” she asked me.

I didn’t answer her and just hugged her . I really miss her so much!

She pushed me quickly. “What are you thinking Ethan? Why are you here?”

“Don’t you love me anymore Agatha?” I asked her directly.

“Damn you! What do you want me to do after I see you with someone else? And I can see that you are happy with her. Then now you’re going to ask me that thing? ” she shouted at me.

My forehead furrowed, I couldn’t understand what she was saying.

“What are you talking about Agatha? You are the only one I love, even though you left me, my love for you didn’t fade.” I said.

“And you think I’ll believe what you’re saying?”

“Because that’s the truth! I love you until now Agatha, that’s why I’m asking you if you still love me. You already achieved your dreams right? ” I seriously promise.

“You know Ethan, you’re just confused because you saw me again. It’s been a year so it’s impossible that you are still in love with me. If I were you, don’t waste your time on me, there are lots of women who want you.”

“Can’t you understand what I’m saying? You are the one I love and I don’t care about them. Please don’t push me away. “I said.

“Just please leave now Ethan.”

“Agatha.” I call her name.

“Please,”she pleads.

“I’ll leave now but don’t expect me to stop chasing you. I want you back Agatha and I will do everything to get you. ” I told her and left her condo.
