He looked at Ethlyn, expecting an answer from her, but she was still glaring at him. “Will you please open your big mouth?” He asked in irritation.

“Is there someone else too whom I should know?” Ethlyn asked back in pure rage. “I thought you’re just a shameless man who speaks nonsense. I thought that you weren’t the same as I thought about you. But I was wrong. If I would have known that you’re a lover of some Tessa or Pessa, then I wouldn’t have let you. touch me.”

“How can you call me characterless or anything when you can’t have control your dick?” Ethlyn questioned angrily. “What did you say once? Ahh! You never mind sleeping with countless women because you never cheat on anyone; after all, you weren’t serious with them, nor did you promise anything to them about the future with you. Then answer me, Alpha Logan Haysbert, what will you say about the incident that you did before?”

“First, you marked me without asking my consent and then didn’t let Cinder mark you. Now all this… if you think that you will hurt me by this one-sided mark then… then I won’t leave you too!!” Ethlyn threatened. “I will make sure to irritate you and your wolf to the extent that you both will go crazy for cheating on me.” She added, glaring at him. She just couldn’t control her anger, and the fact that Calvin was just staring at her without answering anything was irritating her a lot. At the same time, Calvin was dumbstruck by her anger and the way she was mad at him for flirting with Tessa.

“Will you now even speak, or cat get your tongue when I showed you the mirror?” She spoke, getting annoyed. She wanted him to speak. Tell her that whatever she was thinking was rubbish. Tessa was actually a man or a pup of three years, something or anything, but Calvin was all silent.

‘I don’t know what I was thinking.’ She thought and then started getting mad herself for believing his words in the first place. She knew what kind of person he was from the moment she met him at Ashley’s wedding. But never mind, she would correct her mistake now.

She left the bed to wash her hand, and when she came out, she found Calvin still sitting in his place. Since she was still in a robe, she had to change her clothes before walking out of the room. That was when she saw a fresh cloth that Calvin had bought for her yesterday on the bed. And that was when she also realized that Calvin’s family members might have heard their argument if they would have concentrated on their conversation.

‘Fuck!!’ She hissed and first closed the door of the room. She turned around and found Calvin just behind her. She tried to walk past him, but he blocked her away with his hands. “Leave my way, Alpha.” She said in anger.

At first, Calvin didn’t want to clear the misunderstanding and let her fume in her own anger, but he knew that this little fire wouldn’t sit quietly. If she would burn, then her fire would affect him too.

“I’m not anyone’s lover.”

“I don’t want to hear anything now. Your time is over.” Ethlyn said and tried to leave, but Calvin pressed his body against her, locking her between the door and him. “I said…”

“Ssshhh!!!” He kept his index on her lips. “This is my place, so everything will happen as per my wish. And there will always be my time.” Calvin said and received a glare from Ethlyn. He enjoyed seeing anger in her eyes again. “Tessa is of mom’s age and is married.”

“So, you’re interested in a committed woman and a woman of almost double your age?” Ethlyn asked without listening to his whole story, removing his finger from her lips.

“What? Nooooo,” Calvin sneered at that idea. “I mean, there is nothing wrong in showing interest in a woman double your age or older age because LOVE is blind, but I was just casually teasing Tessa because we kind of share a bond of mother and son.”

“I flirt with mom as well by calling her hot and sexy. That doesn’t mean I’m interested in her. Rose, too calls me by my name sometimes as ‘BOYFRIEND,’ but that doesn’t make me her boyfriend in that way.” Calvin explained and couldn’t understand why the hell he was explaining to her by going in such depth, maybe because his wolf was getting affected by seeing the disgust in her eyes for him.

Ethlyn kept looking at him suspiciously, not believing him fully. Some werewolves were trained to lie without getting caught by telling just a half-truth, so maybe Calvin would be doing the same. At the same time, Calvin had a hard time controlling the desire that he was feeling by staying that close to Ethlyn.

“Your expression says that you don’t trust my words.” Calvin pointed out. “But it will get cleared when you will meet her tomorrow at the dinner.”

“She is coming here?” Ethlyn asked with a frown.

“No. We will be going to join her with her family members at dinner. It’s kind of important to know the people with whom you’re working personally as well.” Calvin said before touching her lips with his thumb sensually. Just at his mere touch, her lips parted, and her heart started pounding loudly. “And you used your mouth a lot today.” He muttered, looking at her lips lustfully.

“I’m sor…”

Ethlyn’s voice was cut in between. Calvin hugged her. A normal, gentle hug. “I’m sorry, Cinder, for marking you without taking your consent.” he apologized softly. In anger, Ethlyn might have said a lot of things, but she did make Calvin realize that he never took Cinder’s consent before doing anything that involved her more than her wolf. Cinder whimpered and hugged him back.
