The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

Ethlyn stared in the mirror and smiled, looking at the beautiful lady in the mirror who was smiling back at her. She had gotten a new haircut. All these years, her hair was cut in irregular shapes when she was in Coma but not anymore. Her skin looked fresh and clean.

She grabbed her belongings and started leaving. No one stopped her; it made her realize that all the payments were already made.

‘My wife. She is my wife.’ Calvin’s words rang in her ear again, and she smiled, thinking about him. He called her his wife, even though she wasn’t. But then explaining to everyone that Ethlyn was the mother of her daughter wouldn’t look that good.

Throughout the time, she had a smile on her face. She walked out of the mall and looked around ever there. Lemieux wasn’t at the place as well.

‘Alpha Calvin told me that he would send Lemieux to pick her up.’ She thought and couldn’t understand what she should do. She pulled out Roselet’s new phone from her pocket that Roselet gave to her because Ethlyn didn’t have a phone. Moreover, Roselet didn’t need a phone at this age; she already had an Ipad, which she was allowed to use for half an hour to an hour in the presence of anyone so that Calvin would have an idea of what his daughter kept doing.

And just like any other child, she had a habit of watching videos on youtube, sometimes related to food, sometimes related to new places for vacation, and sometimes songs and dances. Sometimes, she also used to play games.

Ethlyn opened the contact and found only one number saved in it.

‘Daddy.’

She dialed Calvin’s number, but he didn’t receive the call. She called him again, but he again didn’t receive the call.

‘Did he leave me here?’ She asked herself. ‘Not possible. He took all the things that he purchased for me with him, not to leave me here like this. Moreover, it’s not that I can’t reach his pack.’ She replied to the question that she asked herself.

“Alpha Calvin, Can you please send Lemi soon? I’m standing near the exit of the mall.” She sent it and didn’t leave her place because she remembered Calvin’s word for not inviting any trouble because of stupidity. She turned around and found two women having ice cream from Mcdonald’s. Ethlyn started looking forward, placing the phone in her pocket.

‘Instead of waiting, I can book the cab near the pack, right?’ She thought. ‘But I don’t have money with me.’ With this, she planned to walk till pack instead of waiting for Calvin or Lemieux for a long time. She couldn’t understand why Calvin did do this to her!!

One minute, he was too good with her, and in the other moment, he just left her like he didn’t care about her at all. “What the…. aaaah” She cried in pain when she was injected with wolfsbane, and in no moment, her hands were cuffed, and her mouth was sealed.

“Quick…take her to the base.” One of the women said to the man who was driving. Ethlyn tried to fight, but by that time, all those three hunters had already overpowered her.

‘Where are you, Alpha Calvin?’ Ethlyn mentally thought. She knew that his wolf would have already felt that she was in trouble again. ‘I hope he wouldn’t have set me up as a bait to…. Trap them?’ She used her mind. ‘Yes, maybe that could be the reason, or maybe to get rid of me permanently?’

“You’re so death, bitch.” One of the women said. “I want to kill you here for killing my brother, but dad wants you.” She added, punching Ethlyn’s face.

“We’re being followed.” The driver said.

“What?”

“Yes, cops are after us.”

“But how is that possible? We made sure to kidnap her at that point where there was no CCTV and no….”

“That doesn’t matter now.” The driver muttered and started driving recklessly to escape from the cops who were behind them. “Fuck!!” He hissed when he realized that the traffic was jammed. He had personally checked the route before the kidnapping. Everything was clear then; how the hell everything started working against their plan until…. Until this was someone’s else plan.

“Give a high dose of wolfsbane to her so that she will fall unconscious.” He said. “I’m going to stop the car and tell them she is our friend,” he suggested.

“Ummm…mmm,” Ethlyn shook her head in protest, but in the next moment, she was welcomed by the darkness.

“I don’t get it, Alpha. Why are we doing this in a human way?” Lemieux asked. It was all Calvin’s plan from the beginning because his wolf had already sensed someone keeping an eye on them, but he couldn’t find anyone around who would look suspicious. That was why he had left Ethlyn alone in the store, thinking someone might approach her at that moment, but no one did.

Then he left her alone in the spa, but no one approached her again during that time.

At last, he left Ethlyn alone when she was standing at the exit of the mall by ignoring her call and also ignoring her voice message. But he didn’t miss how his phone’s display popped up when she called him, ‘Love’ with a heart sign on in front of it.

“Because they know that I’m the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, but I don’t know who are they and they real identity in the human world,” Calvin replied. He didn’t know how they would have found out this.
