He had never thought a day would come when he would hit his brother for a woman, but here it is. He was so pissed that he couldn’t think that both Colton and he were almost a carbon copy of his father.

Ethlyn was having a good time with Brandon while talking with him, knowing him personally about his likes and dislikes, his birthday, and other minor things.

She realized that, unlike Calvin, his father was not talkative. He was a man of few words.

“This is the first time I’m speaking so much,” Brandon confessed.

“I felt that because you want me to keep speaking, and your facial expression changed on its own when you realized that it’s your time to speak.” Ethlyn smiled.

“Am I boring a little?” Brandon asked to which Ethlyn shook her head. “Come on, don’t lie to me,” Brandon said, to which Ethlyn started nodding her head.

“It’s fine, Ethlyn. There is Nothing wrong in showing a mirror to the person about how he or she is.” Brandon said, cutting her in between. “I was worst than this before Sophia’s entry into my life,” he added with a smile.

“Really?”

“Yes!! I wonder how did she fall in love with me? And somehow, if she fell in love with me, then how is she still in love with a boring person?” Brandon chuckled.

“Maybe because she saw something in you that nobody couldn’t. And I feel you complement each other like she is talkative and you’re a good listener. She is an extrovert, and you’re an introvert.” Ethlyn said before adding, “Since I’m not very talkative. I want someone who can speak.”

“Someone like Calvin, isn’t it?” Brandon questioned.

“What? Nooo. He is annoying.” Ethlyn said quickly, but he watched Brandon arching his eyebrow.

“You want to talk about it?” Brandon offered, “Because one thing I’m good at is in listening.”

“No, no, I’m not a baby who will complain about his pup to his father.”

“You sure?”

“I don’t know why he ends up ruining his every first impression in front of me. When I saw him first, I thought he was a characterless and shameless man with no brain, which was not totally true, and now this. If he was busy, then he shouldn’t have asked me at the first moment. And when something urgent came up at the last moment, then he could have told me but NOPE…” Ethlyn shook her head.

“If you think that I’m hurt, then you’re wrong because I’m all good. And I understand he is busy because he has a lot of work, unlike me, who is useless.” Ethlyn spoke again. Brandon wanted to clear her that she wasn’t useless, but she beat him. “What do you think? Where is he busy at this hour? It’s Saturday today, so his office will obviously be closed in the human world. Then what is he doing out there in the human world?”

“If you want, then I can call him and ask about it.”

“No. It’s fine. In fact, I’m wondering why I even care. This sounds so stupid.”
