Chapter 20

Sahil's POV

One of our friends called up, he said that they were missing Samar and me so they all would like to

come to my place and they offered their help if we needed for the marriage preparations.

I was not in a mood but couldn't say no to them. I told Sagar, Samar and Swati that they would be

coming.

Sagar said fine but he didn't want to join them as he had to complete some work as he would take a

long break after his wedding.

Swati was very excited for the party. She and Manu prepared some snacks and Samar got a few things

ordered from his favourite restaurant.

They all came around 5 PM. I was happy to see them as I got distracted a bit. I also started enjoying

with them. We all made lots of noise with loud music and danced. My friends asked me to call my

brother and sister too. But I said that Sagar was busy with work. Samar went out and called Swati and

Manu to the party.

Oh God!! Manu was looking so beautiful. She was wearing a beautiful dress.

I saw her smiling at people. She looked amazing. Swati was also looking very pretty.

Party was in full swing and everyone was dancing. Samar asked Manu and Swati to dance with him

and they nodded. They danced for a few minutes and somehow I was getting annoyed.

I lost all my interest in the party. I just wanted it to end, as I was not enjoying it at all.

Ria and suniti wanted to dance with me and were trying to come very close to me, but I was getting

very uncomfortable.

I had never thought that I could be uncomfortable in the presence of girls and that too when they were

flirting with me but I was. I didn't like the idea of me flirting with girls in front of Swati.

Samar said something to Manu and went out along with Swati.

They served the snacks. There were so many things. Everyone was enjoying the food. Ria got snacks

for me too and started to feed me with her own hand.

I caught her hand and shook my head. But she kept insisting. I took a bite, it was awesome. I knew

Swati and Manu made them. I looked at her and just then she turned and saw me while Ria was

feeding me.

I firmly told Ria to stop. Everyone praised the snacks and asked where we got all that. Samar told

everyone that most of the things were made by them.. Everyone appreciated them. Swati was very

happy while Manu just smiled. Men kept talking to them.

The music was still on and Neeraj went to Manu and asked her to dance with him and his friend asked

Swati. I had a sudden urge to punch him but thankfully she refused and Swati was about to accept

when Samar said something to them both.

All three of them went to the dining room. I followed them.

" What was that?? " I asked in an angry tone.

" What bhai??" Swati asked.

" Why are you getting so involved with them? Are they your friends? "

" But Bhai, we have a party at home so we joined. They asked us to join. "

" Sahil, why are you getting so hyper? What is the problem? We know them right? " Samar tried to

intervene.

' Yes that is the problem... We know them. " I glared at him.

" But we both were there.. we could take care. "

" Why did you have to tell them that they made the snacks? "

" So what?? They both are preparing the snacks for hours, don't you think that it should be

appreciated?? What is wrong with you Sahil ??" Samar asked me in a higher tone.

" Do I ever come and get involved, when you are with your friends? Why do you need to party with my

friends?" I said to Swati in a raised tone.

I knew those boys...they were like us. Jerks. I didn't want them to flirt with Swati and..... Manu.

Sagar also came out of the room as they were working in the next room.

" Swati just go back to your room, please. No need to go there again. " I said angrily. Sagar and Samar

tried to calm me but I was annoyed.....

Swati looked very hurt and her eyes got moist and she rushed to her room. Manu glared at me and

followed her. Sagar and Damini went to calm her down.

" Sahil you are too much..." Samar said, shaking his head.

" Don't you know how they are?? I didn't want them to flirt with my sister. " I said glaring at them. He

looked at me and then closed his eyes for a few seconds.

" I would not have let anyone do that. I was with them all the time. They both were so excited. They are

" That's what I am saying that they are not kids. They are young and beautiful girls. What if.... "

" Oh!! so now you are trying to be overprotective. They live abroad, Sahil. Their culture is much more

open than ours. If they could handle themselves there, they can handle here too. "

" But..... "

" Oh please stop it yaar, today you are so concerned that those friends are not good enough to be

around your sister. What about you? Us? We are also like them. Relax no one is going to hurt them.

We are there. They also know that Swati is your sister. ".

" Yeah... Maybe.... Did I behave badly with her? "

" Yeah... "

" She is hurt ?? "

" Yeah, imagine that they cooked almost the whole day for this party and you shouted at them for

enjoying it. " Samar said and I closed my eyes.

" Let's go to the party before they come searching for us. " Samar said

" Swati?? " I asked

" Later ...she is angry with you and there are many guests at your home. Take out ice cream and

tiramisu from the refrigerator. "

We both went back to the party but my mood was spoilt. Once the party got over I rushed to Swati's

room to apologise but they were not there.

Where were they? Oh god!! I messed up. I don't know why I was behaving like that? I was feeling very

bad and guilty. I knew that I over reacted. Samar and I could take care of everything.

I was getting irritated with men looking at Manu. She was looking very beautiful.

I lost it when I saw our friends trying to get friendly with Swati and Manu.

I don't know what Manu's problem is. She was normal with everyone. Yesterday when I was in the

market, I saw Manu with a man. He looked like some kind of model. They both were smiling at each

other and then that man hugged her and thanked her. She smiled at him.

I don't know why but I wanted to break his arm. How could she ignore me and smile at every one?

Today, at the party she was flashing her smile at every one... All the men were looking at her with

admiration in their eyes. I was very uncomfortable with her being there.

I couldn't say anything to her so I shouted at Swati. I was feeling bad for my sweetie. She was very

hurt.

I kept waiting for them and they came after about 2 hours. I was very embarrassed the way I behaved.

" Where were you sweetie? " I asked, looking at her.

But Swati didn't even look at me and went to her room.i followed her.

" I am sorry sweetie. Please " I tried to persuade her but she was just too angry. It took me at least half

an hour and she was back to normal. Thank God for that.
