Suddenly There Are Three (Bailey and Artemis)

Chapter 1031 Rainie Is Ruined

When Bailey pushed open the door to the VIP room of the Aurelian Club and walked in, she saw Victoria wildly shaking her head to the beat

of heavy metal music.

Laughter, a continuous and infectious sound, reverberated throughout the room.

Bailey's mouth twitched violently twice as the scene unfolded before her eyes.

Being a socialite from high society, Victoria would never allow herself to let loose like this, even when she was in a bad mood.

It appeared that today's incident had dealt her a significant blow.

Victoria was clearly still deeply in love with Lionel, yet she refused to admit it and even forced herself to move on.

Of course, Bailey was in no position to judge her actions. But then again, if Artemis and I were to harbor irreconcilable hatred, I might not

handle the situation as well as Victoria does.

“Ms. Bailey, you've arrived,” the assistant greeted.

Bailey nodded with a smile and asked, “Was it your idea to bring her to the club to relax?”

The assistant pursed her lips, speaking somewhat uncomfortably. “D-Did I do something wrong? Mr. Saunders seemed to have gone mad

when he arrived at the club earlier.”

Bailey reached out and patted her shoulder, offering comfort as she said, “You did well. If she had kept it inside, it could have caused

problems. Leave this to me. You go back to the company first. I've received news that Lionel has gone to Saunders Group. You work with Mr.

Saunders to handle the company's affairs.”

The assistant nodded. “All right. I'll be going now. Call me if you need anything.”

Bailey nodded in response.

After watching the assistant leave, Bailey walked over to the jukebox and turned off the heavy metal music.

As the upbeat music came to a halt, Victoria stopped dancing abruptly.

She slowly raised her head, frowning at Bailey. “Why did you turn it off? I'm not done dancing yet.”

Bailey strolled up to her, reaching out to grab her arm. “That thing is annoyingly loud.”

Victoria enveloped her like an octopus, wrapping her tightly in an embrace. “Drink with me then.”

“Sure.” Bailey's gaze swept across the bar counter, and all she saw were ordinary beers. “If we're going to splurge, let's go for something

expensive, like Lafite or whiskey. Let's indulge in that feeling of burning money like men do.”

Victoria laughed heartily. “All right. I'll have them bring over some top-notch liquor worth tens of millions right away. We're not stopping

until we're drunk tonight.”

Bailey hummed in acknowledgment.

Seeing that Bailey had agreed to have a drink with her, Victoria took large strides to the bar, picked up the internal phone, and dialed the front

desk. She proceeded to order a variety of fine liquors.

Bailey could not help but grin. “Take a seat first. I'm going to the restroom.”

She had been holding her urge to urinate all the way here. After a few drinks, she feared it would become unbearable.

“All right. Come back soon!” Victoria said.

Bailey casually tossed her bag onto the sofa, then sauntered out of the private room.

As she walked toward the bathroom, she sent a message to Artemis: Victoria is feeling terrible, I'm with her at the bar. Don't wait up for me.

You should head back first.

Just as the message was sent, a familiar voice suddenly echoed in my ear. “No, I won't do it. Get out of my way. Get lost!”

Suddenly, Bailey stopped in her tracks.

The voice sounded so familiar to her, yet for a moment, she could not recall whose it was.

Her gaze swept around the room, finally coming to rest on a private room with a slightly open door.

She sauntered over and peered through the crack in the door, only to find a woman being pestered by a group of plump, dim-witted elderly

men.

“What makes you think you have the right to say no to me? Do you believe you're a prestigious, award-winning Best Actress? What a joke. If

you serve us well today, I might just plead on your behalf and persuade Mr. Hollett to spare you. But if you refuse to drink with us, be

prepared to spend your life here and become a worthless b*tch—just a pawn for men's entertainment!”

“Please spare me, I beg you. Just leave me alone. I'm already in such a miserable state. What more do you want from me?”

With a crisp sound, one of the men harshly slapped her before pinching her body.

Bailey, standing at the door, shuddered. That slap felt as if it had landed squarely on her chest, immediately causing her heart to throb with

intense pain. Rainie? How is that possible? How could the woman inside possibly be Rainie?

Bailey could still vividly recall that three months ago, Rainie was that enchantingly radiant woman who outshone even the A-listers when she

gracefully walked onto the awards stage in her high heels to claim her Oscar for Best Actress.

She was the lead actress in her latest film, “Time Warp”. How could she possibly have fallen to the point of becoming a hostess in a club? And

where's Sylvester, the eldest son of the Hollett family, who loves her dearly and cherishes her as if she were his life? How could he just stand

by and let the woman he loves suffer such humiliation in such a filthy place?

Seeing how those men were harming Rainie, Bailey could no longer stand idly by and do nothing. She quickly broke down the door and

rushed in.

As a trained fighter, she could easily handle someone like Micah and Holden, let alone those pampered big shots.

Seconds later, several screams, reminiscent of the slaughter of pigs, echoed throughout the room.

A series of thuds echoed as heavy objects hit the ground, and several people fell onto the ground, wailing in pain.

After incapacitating a few individuals, Bailey hurried over to Rainie, crouching down to assess her condition.

Rainie, who seemed startled, quickly lowered her head, burying it beneath her knees.

Bailey furrowed her brows, placing her hand on Rainie's trembling shoulders and consoling her. “Rainie, it's me, Bailey. We haven't seen each

other for months. How did you end up here? What's been going on with you lately? Can you talk to me about it? Let's see if I can help you

solve it.”

Rainie's head, still buried in her knees, continued to shake. “I don't know you, Miss. You've got the wrong person. I've never seen you before.”

Bailey was taken aback. She doesn't know me? She has never seen me before? Why would she be so agitated if she truly didn't know me or

had never seen me before?

Her current state only solidified Bailey's suspicion that something of great significance had happened to her.

“Rainie, even though we haven't known each other for a long time, I genuinely consider you my friend. There aren't many people in this world

who can earn my friendship and admiration, but you truly have,” Bailey uttered.

Rainie burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably while murmuring, “I didn't do it on purpose. I really didn't do it on purpose. I didn't mean it. I

also don't know why it turned out this way.” Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Bailey wore a serious expression. While she could not discern the specifics of her words, she was certain it had something to do with

Sylvester.

With that thought, she forcefully pulled her head up from her knees. “Rainie, tell me...”

Her words came to an abrupt halt when she saw Rainie's face, her shock intensifying beyond measure. “Y-Your face...”

Rainie had a classic oval face, with delicate features that exuded the unique charm of an Aplothian woman.

Her appearance was once the object of pursuit and admiration by countless men. However, now, a shocking scar snaked its way from the

corner of her eye to the corner of her mouth.

Looking into her eyes, one could see an endless void of lifelessness. The woman before Bailey was utterly broken.

Bailey exclaimed, “Ranie, what on earth happened? How did you end up like this?”
