Chapter 1030 Go Clubbing

Although most news outlets dared not offend Lionel, there were always a few who risked it all for the sake of money.

Lynda may not have much else, but she certainly had money. She spent hundreds of millions to acquire several small newspaper agencies,

instructing them to publish the photos taken at Violet Rosette.

There was no need to make a big fuss. She just asked them to spread the word around Hallsbay.

With hundreds of millions in acquisition funds, those small newspaper agencies would naturally be willing to participate.

Their annual turnover was only in the millions, but then Lynda had given them over a hundred million. Even if they were to be retaliated

against by Lionel in the future, they could start over somewhere else.

With money in hand, nothing was a problem.

So, several newspaper agencies exhausted all their resources to spread the few photos taken by the paparazzi to every corner of Hallsbay.

Upon receiving the news, Lionel immediately activated LG Corporation's public relations to suppress the matter.

The public relations of big corporations were indeed impressive. They managed to quell the storm in just an hour or so.

However, Lionel, the person in charge of LG Corporation, had indeed won the complete admiration of all the citizens of Hallsbay with his

flair.

That included Victoria.

Several newspaper agencies gave her special attention, deliberately prepared a folder for her, and then sent her a series of photos of Lionel

carrying Lynda into a hotel room.

At that moment, she was discussing website development matters with the research and development team when an email suddenly popped up

on her laptop.

She instinctively clicked on it and saw the videos and photos inside.

At that moment, her mind was a complete blank, filled only with the thought of that man taking another woman to a hotel room.

Especially when he, cradling that woman, pushed open the door and walked in, the scene of the woman leaning in to kiss his earlobe deeply

pierced her eyes and heart.

She suddenly spaced out, and the head of the research and development team called her several times without getting a response. They even

thought there was a problem with their theoretical framework. “Ms. Saunders, do you have any comments on my plan? If so, feel free to voice

them. We can improve it together.”

Victoria stared blankly at the computer screen in front of her, her eyes unable to find any focus. They were deep and mysterious, like a cosmic

vortex, seemingly endless at a glance.

The head of the research and development team was about to speak when Vanessa hastily interjected, “Mr. Norris, I apologize. Ms. Saunders

has been affected by some personal matters. Let's wrap up today's meeting here. Once Ms. Saunders adjusts her schedule, we can reconvene

for further discussion. As it stands, we can't really negotiate anything given her current state.”

Peter Norris exchanged glances with a few members of his team, then picked up his documents and left the conference room.

Vanessa sighed silently when she looked at Victoria, who was in a state of despair. Even though this foolish woman keeps saying she doesn't

love him anymore, that she's given up, anyone with eyes can see that she's hopelessly in love with Mr. Gezmond. If there was no love, how

could such a slight disturbance cause such a profound distraction?

“Ms. Saunders, things may not be as you imagine. What you see may not necessarily be the truth. You should trust in Mr. Gezmond's feelings

for you. You've been in love with him for so many years. You should know his character better than anyone else. If he's truly pursuing Lynda,

I don't think he'll bother you anymore. But we've all seen how much he's cared for you in the past month,” Vanessa said.

Victoria gradually regained her senses, her gaze falling on the seat opposite her. She furrowed her brows and asked, “Where are Mr. Norris

and the others?”

Vanessa found it somewhat amusing. The commotion caused by Mr. Norris and his team when they left just now was quite significant, yet this

woman didn't notice it at all. Isn't this enough to prove that her heart is completely filled with Mr. Gezmond?

“You're not in the best shape, so I asked them to leave for now. Let's talk about work once you've had a chance to gather yourself,” Vanessa

urged.

Victoria furrowed her brows, speaking in a soft voice, “I'm perfectly fine. You overstepped your boundaries by making decisions on your own.

I'm docking a month's worth of your salary.”

Vanessa chuckled, teasing, “I get paid annually.”

“Then, deduct a year.”

Vanessa looked at her with a hint of amusement, reaching out to pinch her cheek. She chuckled, “How about taking a break? I can take you

out for some fun. What do you say?”

Victoria reached out, pushing the notebook in front of her away, and abruptly stood up from her chair.

“All right. I've long since stopped wanting to deal with these messes. Let's go out and have some fun.”

Inside the CEO's office at LG Corporation's subsidiary, Lionel leaned back on the couch while his executive assistant was updating him on the

progress of handling those rumors.

“Mr. Gezmond, that's pretty much the situation. Those newspaper agencies have limited capabilities, so the rumors haven't spread beyond

Hallsbay. However, this incident has caused quite a stir in Hallsbay. I'm afraid that Ms. Saunders has already received the news,” the executive

assistant reported.

Lionel reached out, massaging his forehead. I underestimated Lynda's tactics. That woman is so cunning. She didn't aim to spread this scandal

far and wide. She just wanted Victoria to see it. There were already many barriers between me and Victoria. Now, with this new development,

things have become even more complicated. And that's exactly the effect Lynda wanted. True to form for a successor groomed by a large

corporation, she flawlessly played the game of heart-piercing strategy and successfully drove a wedge in my already tenuous relationship with

Victoria.

Beep!

The phone on the desk rang. He picked it up and saw that it was a call from the detective he had stationed near the Saunders Group.

“What's the matter?” Lionel asked.

“Mr. Gezmond, Ms. Saunders and her assistant have left. They are heading toward Aurelian Club.”

Are they going clubbing in broad daylight? It seemed as if Lionel had thought of something, and a smile inevitably curled up on his thin lips.

So, is she getting jealous? Otherwise, given her nature, she wouldn't indulge herself like this. After all, there's still a lot of mess waiting for her

to handle at Saunders Group. Now, she has given up all her official duties to have fun and seek thrills, proving that I've influenced her

thinking.

“All right. I understand. Send a few people to accompany her, ensuring her safety,” Lionel ordered.

After he finished speaking, Lionel immediately ended the call. Rising to his feet, he headed toward the door, saying as he walked, “Prepare the

car. We're going to Saunders Group.”

Saunders Group? The executive assistant was taken aback. Shouldn't we go to the club?

“Mr. Gezmond, Ms. Saunders has gone to the club,” the executive assistant said.

“I know. She's doing her thing, and I'm going to help her manage company affairs,” Lionel replied.

Isn't that sweet? Mr. Gezmond is truly spoiling his woman with his capabilities. He's going to personally handle the affairs at Saunders Group. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

The employees must be pleasantly surprised by his favor. After all, Mr. Gezmond is the head of the world's largest media company. Managing

Saunders Group is just a flick of his fingers. Moreover, his move is clever. Lynda was trying to drive a wedge between him and Ms. Saunders,

right? If Ms. Saunders is angry, he will help manage her company and let her have some fun. The executive assistant thought Lionel was

pampering Victoria.

Bailey and Artemis originally planned to go to the resort to have fun.

After seeing the overwhelming amount of gossip about Lionel online, they became worried about Victoria and decided to abandon the trip.

Bailey called Victoria, but it was Vanessa who answered. Vanessa informed her that Victoria was letting off steam at the Aurelian Club.

Bailey chuckled, allowing Artemis to escort her to the club.
