Chapter 6
I yelled loudly.
Tears had unknowingly covered my entire face.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
The thought of my poor son made me feel like I wanted to die.
“How, how could this happen…” Sandra shook her head, her face pale, murmuring.
Then, she stiffly turned to look at Alpha Derick, incredulously asking, “Alpha Derick, is what Eileen says true?”
Alpha Derick’s expression was one of pain and anger. “I…I thought she was lying to me. I…” He lowered his head, ceasing to argue.
Tears streaming down my face, I looked at him, my voice breaking with anguish. “Yes, no matter how many times I begged you, you never believed me; yet when Veronica said I was cursing Hadley, you believed in her immediately!”
“Alpha Derick, do you know how hard Hadley worked, how eagerly he awaited this test to prove himself?
“Do you know that on the night before the alpha test, he told me with a smile that he was sure he would pass? He said he would show you he could become an excellent alpha and make you proud!”
“You always said I didn’t deserve to be Hadley’s mother, but do you deserve to be his father?”
“Do you even remember when his birthday is?
Do you know what his favorite food was or what his biggest dream was?”
“How many birthdays have you missed because of Veronica?
“How many times did you choose to stay by Veronica’s side when she was sick and hospitalized?
“Over the years, besides work and Veronica, did you ever even look at Hadley more than once?
“How dare you say you cared about him?
“Alpha Derick, he was a living, breathing person, your son! Why did you kill him?”
