My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 365

Chapter 365

I ignored him and went straight upstairs.

"Arianna, stop right there!" Hendrix suddenly called out. I immediately stopped at the top of the stairs

when I heard him.

I looked back at him and asked, "What?" NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

He was so mad that he gave off a laugh. "F*ck. You clearly knew that you did something wrong yet

you're acting as if everything's fine. Where did you get your moral compass?"

I pursed my lips and glared at him. "If you're right then you'd deem yourself reasonable, no?"

Hendrix Roberts...

He sighed and said frankly, "I don't care about what happened today. Just stay away from Irvin in the

future."

"I still have to go to work!" I lowered my head and said, "Plus, Irvin was drunk tonight."

Hendrix grabbed my wrist. Swallowing his anger, he spoke, "Arianna, what else do you expect me to

do?"

I realized now that he was really mad. I looked at him and reassured him, "I'll avoid him in the future. I

won't meet him unless necessary. And you don't need to get so overbearing about this when your

relationship with Andrea is so messed up."

Bringing up Andrea was a habit for me. Though I knew that he and Andrea had nothing going on but I

couldn't help but to bring her up whenever we fought.

Hendrix's face darkened and turned gloomy. "What are you even talking about? Define 'messed up'

and how can you be so sure that I had something with Andrea in the past? Are you trying to exact

revenge or are you just trying to play around? Arianna, what do you take yourself for?"

I could not talk about it anymore. A fight was bound to ensue if we continued.

Looking at Hendrix's angry face, I thought for a moment before saying, "I was wrong. I'll try my best to

keep a distance from Irvin in the future and I promise that I won't cross the line."

He paused for a moment, then narrowed his eyes and asked, "Arianna, is there something you're not

telling me?"

I...

Huh. This was getting ridiculous.

Why did I even apologize? Why should I take a step back? I was just speechless. He was hard headed.

I took a deep breath and faked my best smile. "I've said everything that I should've said. The only thing

for you to do is whether you want to believe it."

If I continued, I would die of anger.

I ignored Hendrix and went straight upstairs.

He caught my wrist again.

I was completely enraged. "Are you done?"

"Don't be angry. Head up later, okay? Make me something to eat, I'm hungry," He said, his face looking

much gentler than before.

I said angrily, "Don't you have your own hands?" I guessed that he had just arrived in Ucrebury not long

ago and couldn't grab a meal before. The caretaker wasn't in during the night.

He pursed his lips. "My hand's hurt!" Saying that, he stretched out his hand to me and looked at me.

"Look at my hands from the fight just now."

Gosh!

If I hadn't seen how he punched and hit Irvin, I would have believed that he really hurt himself.

It was only a small red patch. It was probably because he got scratched or stung by accident from the

fight.

"How are you so shameless and thick-skinned? Is your face made of bricks?" His words were utterly

ridiculous.

Hendrix raised his eyebrows. "You can touch and feel if my face was made from bricks." Saying that,

he moved his face closer to me, looking at me intently and said, "I'm starving. I've not eaten anything

for a night."

I was stunned.

Was he... trying to act cute?

For real?!

I'm not quite sure what I was saying.

After a pause, I went into the kitchen. The caretaker had prepped our kitchen with some fresh

ingredients.

I didn't normally cook but I did know how to make some pasta. I decided to cook some for him. Finding

the ingredients I needed, I brought the water to a boil.

Hendrix, all burly and brawny, leaned against the doorframe. When he saw the ingredients that I was

taking out, he paused for a moment and asked, "You're cooking pasta?"

"Yeah!" I didn't know what else to cook other than pasta.
