My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 356

Chapter 356

As I had to make a trip down to Ucrebury the next day, I decided to tuck into bed early. However, as

expected, I was losing sleep again.

Hendrix noticed that I had trouble falling asleep. He tugged me into his arm and hugged me. "Would Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

you like to have a go again tonight?"

I...

There was a very big difference between one time and one night.

"Hendrix, I need to go to Ucrebury tomorrow. I need to reserve my energy." Saying that, I turned my

back against him. I closed my eyes to try and get some sleep.

He hugged me from the back, easily spooning me. Even though he kept his hand to himself and was

only hugging me, but I...

After some time, I frowned at him and said, "Hendrix, I can't fall asleep like this."

"Why not? We are husband and wife. So why can't we?" He said these words with confidence.

I pursed my lips and moved closer to the edge of the bed trying to get a little further away from him.

But he stuck close to me like my second skin. Restless, I gave up and closed my eyes trying to fall

asleep.

The more I wanted to fall asleep, the harder it was for me to do so. Just like that, the night crawled

forward and I lost my sleep again. I woke up at 6 the next morning.

I got out of bed. I was feeling a little disoriented from the lack of sleep. When I walked, it felt like I was

floating and there were ringing sounds in my ears. I felt terribly uncomfortable.

Hendrix got up as well. He probably did not sleep well last night either. He said, "I'll take you to the

airport."

"No, it's okay. It's still early. You should catch a little sleep," I replied while preparing to head to the

bathroom to wash up.

He put on his pajamas and smoothen the furrow between his brows. "It's okay. I can catch some sleep

again at noon."

I frowned and swallowed the words of refusal. I then went to the bathroom to wash up. When I was

done, he had already changed his clothes and was prepared to leave.

We arrived at the airport.

Hendrix parked his car outside the airport and looked at me. "When are you coming back?"

I was in a hurry to get off the car and replied hastily, "I'll come back when the work is done."

Seeing that I was in a hurry to get off the car, he stopped me and slightly narrowed his black eyes.

"Should I go with you?"

I frowned. I couldn't help but to feel a little impatient as it was nearing the boarding time. "There's no

need for that. I'm coming back."

He moved closer to me with the corners of his mouth turned upwards. His pupils focused on me. "I'm

just worried that you won't want to come back after meeting some people."

The words didn't sound pleasant to my ears.

I noticed that he was staring at someone outside the window. I turned around and saw Irvin standing,

waiting at the entrance hall.

I was wondering why Hendrix was acting weird. I sighed and said to him, "I'm going there for some

business purposes."

He pursed his lips and nodded. "I know. Three days. If you're not back in three days, you can't go on a

business trip alone in the future."

He said it casually but I could hear from his tone that he meant it.

I nodded and got out of the car. I couldn't help but to feel that Hendrix was being a little overbearing.

Irvin handed me my boarding pass as he eyed Hendrix and squinted his eyes a little then said, "He

seems to be worried that you'll be running away with me."

I shrugged my shoulders and said nothing more. "It's getting late. Let's board the plane!"

After four hours on the plane, we finally arrived in Ucrebury. It was lunchtime when we landed.

Irvin booked a restaurant in advance and invited me to have lunch with him. I planned to head back to

Flora Hill and have a little rest before meeting people from the Fantasia Company.

However, I couldn't reject Irvin's invite. So, I decided to join him.

Hendrix called me as soon as I got in the car to the restaurant. The timing was peculiar.

I picked up the call. I was waiting for him to speak first as I was a little too tired to start the

conversation.
