Chapter 1994
Chapter 1994
"Don't you know that I'm being treated like a loner here?" Aaron threw his fork aside and became grouchy, "I've lost my appetite."
His pouting overwhelmed me. I lifted my eyebrows and asked as though I was looking at a fool, "Are you alright?"
Before he could reply, Aurelia, who sat opposite him, jumped off her stool, circled the table, ran to his feet then tugged at his coat, "Uncle Aaron, I'll give you all of the delicious food. Don't be sad."
Aaron took the opportunity to hold her in his arms and sat her on his lap. He broke into a smile and said, "Sure... I'll eat all of the delicious food with you! You're my favorite after all!"
When he spoke, he didn't forget to look in Hendrix's direction. He was obviously showing off.
Although Hendrix didn't have much of a reaction, his face darkened. His gaze was gloomy, and the aura around him became frighteningly cold. The atmosphere at the dining table was split, with me in the middle. It was cold on one side and hot on the other.
On the left was the intimate interaction between Aaron and Aurelia, and on the right was Hendrix and Wynn's silence. It seemed as though the food in front of them had turned tasteless.
This entire thing was so funny. I couldn't help but raise the corners of my lips into a wide grin. Since Hendrix hadn't suffered in the bedroom, Aurelia avenged me.
I was in a great mood and had an enormous appetite. After trying all of the dishes on the table, I had finished an entire plate in no time.
As I wiped my mouth clean, I caught a glimpse of Hendrix's plate that was still full of food. I could see that he was still maintaining his moody expression. He looked at Aurelia sitting in Aaron's arms, eating the dishes he cooked, depressed. It was as though they were the father and daughter pair.
As I watched them have fun, I cleared my throat and deliberately added fuel to Hendrix's fire, telling Aaron, "Aurelia's registered permanent residence is under your name. It seems that she likes you very much. In the future, I think she could call you daddy. What do you think?"
Aaron snickered before he withdrew his grin. He thoughtfully raised his voice and agreed to my suggestion, "I think that's a great idea."
As he said this, he called out to Aurelia and teased her, "Aurelia, call me daddy."
Aurelia was so mesmerized by the food. She called out without thinking about it, "Daddy..."
"Clink..." The sound of a falling fork suddenly cut through the happy atmosphere.
Hendrix placed his utensils down, stood up to leave the dining table, but stopped after taking two steps forward. He cast a sideways glance and said faintly, "Wynn, you've done well today. I'll give you an extra half hour to use your microcomputer. Why don't you join me in the study?"
Wynn's microcomputer was his lifeblood. To prevent his vision from declining, Hendrix would only allow him to use it for only one hour a day. Hearing that he had extra time Wynn's eyes lit up. Before he could swallow the food in his mouth, he trotted after Hendrix.
Seeing Wynn leave, Aurelia couldn't sit still. She wriggled out of Aaron's arms and was about to burst into tears, "Wynn! I want to be with you!"
Wynn was afraid that she would fall down, so he paused and waited for her to catch up to him. Then he held her hand, and they headed upstairs together.
Hendrix walked ahead smugly. Without looking back, he stomped on the stairs heavily as though he wanted Aaron to hear his footsteps. As soon as they left, the living room quietened down.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Fine," Aaron threw his hands up and grumbled with jealousy, "Even though that old fox Hendrix has lost his memory, he's still so evil. He know that if he wants to capture the followers of a gang, he must first capture the leader."
I couldn't help laughing, "You know how he made it this far. Did you think you could outmatch him in manipulation and dirty tricks?"
