Chapter 1987
Chapter 1987
Not long after I entered the building, Jennifer appeared in front of me.
She was wearing a set of wine-red silk pajamas, but her face looked particularly gaunt and exhausted. She raised her hand and sent her bodyguards away.
After they had left, she said coldly, "What are you doing here? You don't really think of yourself as Arianna, do you? Let me be clear, my brother is only protecting you because of how you look. You won't be smug for long. Think about yourself first before you come to mock me!"
I hadn't even said a word to her, but Jennifer was like a machine gun, bursting out words repeatedly. She was noisy and very annoying.
Frowning slightly, I acted extremely indifferent. "I'm not interested in your business. I only want to know one thing. Tell me who hypnotized Hendrix that year."
It was something that was already made obvious, but Jennifer seemed provoked. Her face changed. Then she pointed at me and shouted, "Get out!" "Leave my house! Get lost!"
She screamed at the top of her lungs. She looked particularly ferocious and agitated.
Although I haven't had much contact with Jennifer, I remember that she was a very well known young lady. She wouldn't lose her temper so easily outside.
But at this very moment, she didn't have an ounce of arrogance or pride within her. She looked more like a patient from a psychiatric ward.
I pressed my lips together and asked, "Jennifer, are you alright?"
Her eyes lit up when she heard her name. She seemed to have regained consciousness.
After she calmed down, she changed the subject. "When Hendrix remembers everything, he'll cut you off and abandon you. Why do you do so much for him?"
She looked very uncomfortable, but I couldn't be bothered to show any kindness. I merely said coldly, "You don't need to remind me about that. You just need to tell me who hypnotized Hendrix. Where did the person go? Do you have his contact information?"
"Give up. I don't know anything, and even if I did, Kwouldn't tell you." Jennifer had composed herself and huffed, "Don't blame me for not telling you. Trying to conquerExclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

decision. You are not the woman he loves. He's like a stone that you'll never be able to soften."
Her words didn't make any sense. It seemed that she was deliberately taking shots at our relationship.
I thought about this for a while, the expression on my face growing colder. "Hendrix's life was never your business, but you've secretly taken advantage of him to achieve your goal. Have you ever regarded him as your brother? If he's a rock, then what are you?"
Hearing this, Jennifer looked down at me and sized me up. Then she snorted disdainfully, "Ariane, I'm afraid you haven't figured out the whole situation yet. You are begging me for help right now. Is this the right kind of attitude to have right now?"
"You've mistaken. I am not begging you for anything." I wasn't afraid at all. "Hendrix's condition today has everything to do with the Marshall family. The Marshall family's wealth is being supported by Hendrix alone. If you don't want to lose your wealth, you'd better pray to God that he's safe. Otherwise, your identity as the daughter of the Marshall family won't last long regardless of my presence."
"Ariane, you'd better know your place. How dare you talk to me like this? Do you think you're all set to be his wife? I will pull you down sooner or later
and then you'll get a taste of your own medicine!"
Jennifer seemed to have something on her mind, she had a cunning smile on her face. "Hendrix forgot about how he loved Arianna, which is why you found the opportunity to become Mrs. Roberts. Since you can do that with a face that is similar to Arianna's, do you believe that the Marshall family will choose an arrogant person or an obedient substitute with a face like yours?"
