My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 1985

Chapter 1985

"Hendrix!"

The first thing I realized when my eyes opened was that I was in a familiar room.

Why was I in Hendrix's bedroom?

The image of Hendrix falling unconscious flashed through my mind. I didn't even put on my jacket before I jumped out of bed and rushed out into the corridor.

When I flung the door open, I nearly collided with Evan.

"Miss Reid, you're awake," He said respectfully.

"Where's your boss? Why am I here?" I asked worriedly.

"Hendrix is in the guest room. We've treated the bruises on his head, he should wake up soon."

Just then, I heard some loud crashing noises coming from the other room. All the servants were soon running out from it.

"Come here." Evan stopped a servant and asked, "What happened?"

The servant looked mortified. "When Mr. Hendrix woke up, he said that he was hungry. But when he ate the food we served him, he said it didn't taste right, he then threw the food on the floor..."

Was he mad just from a single bite?

Did Hendrix return to his violent youth?

If he could throw stuff around, it meant that his body wasn't badly hurt.

"It's okay. You can leave now. I'll see to it myself."

I let out a sigh of relief and let the servants go. I then walked over to Hendrix's room.

When I walked to the door, I could

still hear the sound of tables and chairs crashing about. As I entered, I saw that there was food scattered all over the floor and that the chairs had been thrown about. Hendrix was standing in the center of this mess. His sleeping robe had come undone. He looked like a hooligan, a handsome one, though. Content

Having heard my footsteps, Hendrix looked up and frowned. He raised his eyebrows and said unevenly, "Who are you? Why are you here?" Has he lost his memory again?

I clasped my hands together and walked towards him. "You don't remember me?"Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Hendrix narrowed his eyes as he sized me up. "Who allowed you in?"

Well, it seems he had forgotten everything, but the signature arrogance of a child raised from an aristocratic family was still evident.

I smiled, and a funny idea came to my mind.

I loosened my grip, and my face became serious and dignified. I shouted, "Well, Hendrix, you've only married me for a few years, and now you've exposed your true nature!"

Hendrix looked disgusted. "What nonsense are you spouting?"

"Nonsense? Ask them if we're husband and wife!" I angrily pointed at Evan and a group of servants at the door.

As expected, Hendrix looked over and saw Evan nod his head. Finally, he cast a doubtful look at me. He looked at me and thought for a while before asking, "Did I marry you?"

"Well, yes! We already have two

children." I pulled over a chair that escaped his rampage and sat down. I pretended to be well-tempered and said, "The Roberts family truly are much worse than the Reid family. When you pursued me with so much effort, I was touched. You promised me that you would obey and cherish me. As a man, shouldn't you keep your promise?"

Having said this, I paused for a moment and then said meaningfully, "In the past two years, the Reid Family has helped you climb into the position that you are in now. You've gotten ambitious with your higher position. Do you have someone else on the

outside?"

Hendrix suddenly composed himself and angrily turned his face away. "Only animals have no control over their desires. I don't care for that!"

He spoke so seriously it was as though this accusation would cost him his life. It reminded me of the way people used to be in olden times. This was ridiculously comical.

I didn't manage to hold back the smile on my face, but I quickly controlled my mannerism. I cleared my throat, "In that case, honey, I would like you to make me some dinner. You used to make it for me every day. Go on now, I'm hungry!"
