Chapter 1570: Intensity
Chapter 1570: Intensity
"Do you have an appointment?"
"No."
"Sorry, ma'am, Dr. Chow is our supervisor and also our popular internet celebrity psychologist, so he's very busy. It might be necessary to make an appointment."
"I understand. So, I wanted to ask if he has time now. If it's convenient, I'd like to meet him briefly, ask one question, and then make an appointment for next time." After listening to Yessica's words, Camille naturally understood that popular internet celebrity psychologists like Dr. Chow were in high demand, and it was normal to need an appointment.
Camille's words made the receptionist nod, but she looked somewhat hesitant as she said, "Ma'am, let me check if Dr. Chow has any available slots in the next half hour. If he doesn't, shall I let him know?" Camille agreed with a nod and went to sit in the waiting area.
The receptionist entered the doctor's consultation room and came out after about two minutes.
She said to Camille, "Hello, ma'am. Our Dr. Chow happens to have some time. I'll take you in now."
Camille nodded slightly and followed the receptionist into Dr. Chow's office.
The office was spacious, decorated in a very comfortable manner, giving a sense of tranquility.
The receptionist led Camille into the office and said to the man sitting behind the desk, "Dr. Chow, this is the lady."
Digby looked up and, although he wasn't extremely handsome, he gave off a very affable vibe.
He gestured to Camille, "Please, have a seat, ma'am!"
Camille nodded gently and walked over to sit on the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window.
After pouring water, the receptionist left the office, leaving Camille and Dr. Chow alone. He asked, "What question do you want to consult me about?"
"Hello, Dr. Chow, my surname is Jiang!" Camille introduced herself, adding an extra letter after her name. Of course, people who came to this kind of psychological clinic would never reveal their real names unless they had a high level of trust in the psychologist.
However, Digby didn't mind and addressed her as Miss Jiang according to Camille's introduction.
Camille didn't want to waste anyone's time, especially with renowned psychologists like Digby, where time is money. So she wouldn't cause unnecessary trouble for others.
Camille said, "I seem to have a problem with my boyfriend because I saw intimate photos of him with his ex. It makes me feel uncomfortable, but I don't dare to tell him directly. This has caused some inexplicable issues in our relationship. I want to know if the problem lies with me psychologically."
After listening, Digby nodded slightly and then spoke, "Miss Jiang, I understand your meaning. Your discomfort is evident. You are very concerned about your boyfriend's intimate photos with someone else. Let me ask you, did this happen before or after you got together?"
"After," Camille said heavily.
Digby asked, "Do you believe it?"
"I don't know."
"So, this is your concern. You don't know if it's true or not, and you don't know whether to ask him or how to ask, right?" Digby softly questioned Camille, who immediately nodded because that was indeed the issue she was facing.
Camille took a deep breath and asked, "Does my situation indicate a psychological problem?"
Digby said, "It's not a psychological problem. You lack self-confidence and trust in yourself and your partner. If you were confident or trusted him, you could ask him directly if it's true or not."
Camille was taken aback. Digby's words hit her right in the heart, and it was indeed the truth.
Camille nodded slightly, acknowledging it. She asked Digby, "Is it really not a psychological issue?"RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
"Of course not," Digby replied firmly.
Camille felt somewhat relieved in her heart, as long as it wasn't a psychological problem. If it were, she genuinely didn't know how to solve it.
Camille had asked everything she wanted to ask, so she didn't want to waste Digby's time any longer. She asked, "Thank you. Should I transfer the fee directly to you or pay it to your assistant?" "No need, it's just a small matter," Digby shook his head.
Camille hesitated, "But how can that be?"
"It's okay, you haven't made me go through anything. I just provided an analysis, a few words, nothing more. Do you really think my time is money? happened to have no appointments today. Even if you were to give me money, I wouldn't be able to make time if I had prior engagements," Digby teased with a soft chuckle in his voice. Camille didn't refuse any further and simply thanked him sincerely.
Half an hour had already passed when Camille checked the time. She didn't want to continue disturbing Digby, so she took the initiative to bid farewell. She left Digby's office and exited the clinic. Although her mood hadn't noticeably changed, at least she now knew what was causing her concerns.
Camille drove around for a while. The whole day passed without any contact with Ayan, and it felt as if they were back in the cold war phase they had a few days ago. Only this time, the roles seemed to have reversed.
Camille sighed helplessly as she returned home. She took Timmy for a stroll nearby, noticing that it was almost dinner time, but Ayan hadn't returned yet. Wasn't he coming back for dinner?
Just as Camille was thinking about
it, she saw Avan's car approaching from not far away. She held Timmy's hand and stood by the roadside. The car quickly stopped beside them, and the window rolled down, Ayan looked at them and asked, "Waiting for me here?"
His gaze glanced at Camille, then landed on Timmy by Camille's side. Timmy looked at Ayan and immediately demanded, "Daddy, cake, Daddy, cake!"
Unable to resist, Ayan got out of the car. He bent down and picked up Timmy, his voice gentle, "I bought it for you. Let's go home, alright?"
Timmy clapped happily, his face beaming with a smile. "Okay, okay!"
Then Ayan carried Timmy and started walking back. He didn't speak to Camille along the way. Camille stood still for two seconds before silently following them.
Once they were back home, Timmy went straight to eat the cake, completely ignoring his mother. Camille had already realized that he was upset about the incident from the previous night. Was he angry because she didn't want to be intimate with him?
Camille thought about this, feeling frustrated. She didn't feel like having cake, so she went upstairs alone.
She returned to her bedroom, closed the door, and dialed Sienna's number.
Sienna had just finished a shoot and returned to her hotel room. She complained to Camille about the difficulties of shooting wedding photos and said, "I'll make a detailed guide for you so you won't make any
mistakes when you take your wedding photos in the future."
"Just prepare it for now. I don't know when it will happen," Camille responded lightly.
Sienna then asked, "I noticed that the views on your video with Jordan have completely dropped. It seems like the controversy has passed. Has it not affected your relationship with Ayan?"
