It was evening already, Skyler had showered already but she was at the vanity table, applying makeup on her face.

Mason just stepped out of the bathroom with a white towel wrapped around his waist, his body was dripping wet as he had just finished showering.

He frowned a little and Skyler noticed his expression.

“What’s the wrong darling, why the sudden change of expression?” Her heart was beating a little.

Did he notice anything?

“It’s just that you’ve been applying too much makeup on your face lately, I don’t know if anyone said a harsh word to you but you’re beautiful just the way you are. I find you the cutest each time you wake up from sleep with your hair rough” he whispered and gave her a quick peck.

Skyler smiled but it was mainly of relief.

“If you kiss me again, you’ll clean my makeup and I’m only doing it because I’m going out. You call me beautiful every day so why should I feel ugly” She rolled her eyes playful.

Mason sighed and looked at her face through the mirror again.

“Well then beautiful, I’ll be watching you and I trust you’ll make me and everyone proud of you” he smiled.

“Hmm” Skyler nodded and he planted a kiss on her neck.

Soon everyone was ready, the family entered their separate cars as they found their way to the sales party.

SALES PARTY EVENT HALL★

A lot of businessmen and celebrities, even social media influencers could be seen there. Mason and Skyler arrived separately but if there was one thing Skyler was happy about then it was because Mason gave her permission to invite Ashley and Wendy ( her best friends) over to watch her.

“Hey babe!!” Ashely ran to hug Skyler the moment she sighted her.

“Ashely!!” Skyler happily hugged her back.

“Don’t hug without me” Wendy suddenly appeared and they all did some group hug.

“I miss you so much, I wanna cry” Wendy pouted, she didn’t want to let Skyler go.

“Skyler baby” a familiar voice called and Skyler immediately turned back to see Kiara (her mom) standing with teary eyes.

“Mom” Skyler rushed to hug Kiara so tight.

“You’re looking so beautiful my dear Skyler, that dress must be so expensive,” Kiara said after checking her out.

Skyler only smiled.

“He must not treat you so well,” Kiara said softly.

“Yes Mom, we are both in love, I don’t care about Felix anymore, I just want to live happily with Mason” Skyler replied.

“And his family don’t give you a hard time?” Kiara asked.

“They love me, Mom” Skyler smiled, she wasn’t going to tell her mother about Maya bullying her all the time.

“That’s great to hear, I hope to meet them before this evening is over,” Kiara said and Skyler nodded with a smile.

“I don’t still get why I’d have to dress like this. What is your motive?” Miguel asked as he walked beside Edna, trying to hide his face from the paparazzi.

“Can you stop ranting?” Edna squeezed her face, looking irritated.

“Why should I stop? You didn’t even let me take my camera! You’re being so strange” As Miguel was complaining, Edna was looking left and right as if she were looking for someone.

Her eyes suddenly caught Zach and Regina talking with some group of people and she smirked before grabbing Miguel’s hands.

“Come with me!” She pulled him towards them.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Miguel tried taking off his hands but Edna held it tight.

“Zach?” She called and Zach turned back to look at her along with Regina.

“Oh, Regina is here too” Edna smiled.

Zach stared at her then Miguel who was standing beside her.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to disturb you two, it’s been a long since I’ve heard from you so I thought it’d be polite to greet you” She smiled and hugged Miguel’s hands to hers.

Regina only smiled.

“You’re trying to show us you finally have a boyfriend? That’s great news, for a while I thought you were a lesbian” Regina forced a smile as she looked at Zach who didn’t say anything but he didn’t have a pleased look on his face.

“What do you think you’re doing Edna, let me go” Miguel whispered to her but she acted as if she didn’t hear him.

“So, you are capable of having a boyfriend” Zach forced a smile at her as he finally said something.

“Yes and his name is Miguel Torres, a house planner, he has worked with many businesses men” Edna replied and Miguel’s eyes widened.

“Words can’t describe how happy I am for you, right Zach?” Regina faced him with a smile.

“Right,” Zach replied and left then Regina followed him.

When they were out of sight, Edna released Miguel’s hands but Miguel had an angry look on his face.

“You are a bloody narcissist, you should have informed me before using me like that but what do I expect from someone like you” he said angrily before turning around and leaving.

Edna only rolled her eyes. How come Zach didn’t look too jealous or did she not pull the act very well? She rolled her eyes and went to meet her other friends.
