“Why are you overreacting Carson, he was just asking me a question” Simon narrowed his eyes.

“Who asks questions when they are close to someone, is he trying to distract you or what?” Carson scoffed to himself.

James only laughed and before Carson could blink, he was suddenly pulled to a corner of the school hallway and was pinned to the wall with his hands above his head.

Carson also stared at him hard, eyeball to eyeball before a smirk formed on his face.

Hudson just rolled his eyes and scoffed.

“My family owns most of the material everyone used to sew their clothes, why do I have to stress myself” he muttered.

“Your family owns this and that, how come to their money can’t buy you a brain!” Cynthia who had been listening finally said something.

Hudson turned to face her and before anyone knew it, the both of them began arguing.

While they were arguing, Skyler decided to go talk to Lilian about what she saw yesterday. She went to the back of the class where Lilian was sitting alone pressing her phone.

“Hey” she called softly but Lilian returned a bad look at her when she raised her head.

“Lilian you don’t have to look at me like that every time, we aren’t enemies” Skyler sighed tiredly.

“Really? We aren’t? But I don’t like you” Lilian gave her a crybaby face.

“Yesterday I saw you entered a familiar car, are you dating Felix?” Skyler gave her a type of look.

“How do you even know about Felix, I thought you were married or are you suddenly a two-faced bîtch? Wait why am I even asking, you are” Lilian rolled her eyes and stood up.

“There’s a package waiting for you outside” the security man replied and left.

“Please sign here to receive your package” the delivery man gave her a book and pen.

‘I didn’t order anything or was it Mason?’ she thought as she signed it before taking the box.

Hudson snatched it from her instantly and her eyes widened.

“Everyone, the box is from hubby, what did your husband get for you, Skyler?” Hudson winked, he was curious to see what Mason had in there.

“Give the box back to her and let her open it if she wishes” Cynthia frowned at him.

Jasper was the only one frowning, what did her husband get for her maybe he could get her a much better one.

Lilian watched with pure jealousy and suddenly a loud thud was heard, everyone turned back to look at Jasper who seemed to have passed out on the floor.

She went to Mason’s office and knocked but no one replied to her.

“He went out for some business meeting and would be back late” Sunny’s voice sounded from behind and Skyler turned back to see Sunny smiling at her.

She sighed and decided to drop a text, guessing he must be in a meeting.

“Miguel, ma’am Edna calls for you in her office” a female worker came to inform Miguel who was sitting with some other male workers.

He sighed and stood up before finding his way to her office. He knocked on the door before pushing it open.

“Look for something nice to wear, you’re following me to the sales party this evening,” she said without raising her head from her laptop.

Miguel looked confused.

“I’m following you to the sales party, why is that?” He raised his brows with a confused look.

Edna sighed and finally looked at him.

“What is your job here, Miguel?” She asked.

“Your photographer” Miguel replied.

“I’m glad you remembered” she rolled her eyes.

“And my dressing matters?” Miguel raised his brows again.

“You work for me, I’m the boss so I get to decide on things I want” Edna replied.

Miguel only smirked at her before leaving, almost immediately he bumped into Zita who was holding a carton.

“It’s your outfit for tonight” he passed the carton to Miguel.

Miguel gave Zita a kind of look before collecting the carton and going back to his space with some other male workers.

“Were you guys also invited to the sales party?” He asked as he dropped his carton on the table.

“Why should we be invited there” one of the guys laughed.

“Well I was, by the boss and she even got me an outfit” he opened the box to take a look at what was in.

It was a clean dark suit with a tie and even shoes.

“Woah!!” The male workers gasped to themselves.

“Boss got this for you? Like ma’am, Edna got this for you? Another male worker asked.

“Yeah,” Miguel nodded, looking confused.

“And you’re sure she doesn’t feel a thing for you?” Another one asked.

The confused look disappeared from Miguel’s face and he burst out into laughter.

“Please that’s quite an expensive joke, Edna only cares about herself and she likes rich guys, there’s no way she can have a thing for someone like me” he shook his head.

“Then maybe she wants to apologize to you since you’ve been complaining that she has been treating you unfairly these days,” another one said.

“Well like I said before, she’s a narcissist but I’ll just wait to see what she is up to” Miguel shrugged and closed the box.
