Chapter 1034: What a Dramatic Aristocratic Story
Zane glanced at Lisa with a blank expression. "Just call the police."
But Lisa panicked, shaking her head frantically. "We can't call the police, Zane, we can't!"
"I'm not as capable as you think, I can't help you!" Zane said firmly.
Lisa grabbed Zane's trouser leg, pleading, "Zane, please, can't you help Jo? He's your cousin after all.
Are you just going to watch him get into trouble?"
Zane's brows furrowed slightly, looking at Lisa's hand holding onto him. He said in a low voice, "Let go!"
Lisa hesitated as she looked at Zane for a while before reluctantly releasing her grip. "Zane, I'm
begging you, save Jo, please."
Though Lisa let go, her tearful eyes continued to implore Zane.
Zane calmly observed Lisa kneeling on the ground and sternly said, "Get up first."
Lisa glanced at Zane before hesitantly standing up. "Zane..."
"I'll have someone look into it, but I can't promise anything," Zane replied.
Lisa was about to step forward to pull Zane, but he deftly avoided her. "Yanis needs to rest. Don't
disturb her here. I'll contact you when I have any news."
Lisa's outstretched hand hung awkwardly in the air. Despite feeling embarrassed, she nodded at Zane.
"Okay, okay, I won't disturb you. I'm leaving now."
As she turned to leave, Lisa glanced at Yanis on the hospital bed and said softly, "Yanis, I'm sorry.
Once Jo is back, I'll make him apologize and kneel before you."
Yanis heard Lisa's words but only raised her eyebrows slightly, choosing not to respond.
Perhaps due to Zane's evident displeasure, Lisa decided not to push further. She left the room,
repeatedly urging Zane to save Jo.
After Lisa left, the hospital room was once again left with Zane and Yanis.
Yanis looked at Zane standing by the bedside and said softly, "You should have someone look for him.
After all, he's Uncle Dylan's child."
Zane sat down by the bed and held Yanis's hand tightly. "I'll call Albi and have him send people to look
for Jo. But those people she mentioned might be hard to find."
Yanis murmured, "I didn't expect her life to have been so difficult before."
Yanis didn't know Lisa before today; she hadn't even heard of her before. But now, hearing Lisa's story,
she couldn't help but feel sympathy.

journey.
Zane eventually made the call to Albi, instructing him to investigate the matter. Afterward, Zane
hesitated but decided to call Dylan, informing him about what Lisa had said.
Dylan's first concern was naturally Jo's situation. "Zane, help me find the child. Regardless of anything
else, the child is innocent, and he's a member of the Lawrence family."
After hearing Dylan's words, Zane furrowed his brows and replied, "I know. How is Aunt Rachel's
condition now? Is she okay?"
Dylan responded, "She twisted her ankle, but she's fine."
After a brief exchange, Dylan asked about Yanis, "How is Yanis? Is she okay?"
Zane confirmed, "She's fine."
"That's good, that's good."
Zane hung up after confirming Rachel's safety.
Yanis looked at Zane, and as he sat down beside her, she gently smoothed the crease between his
brows. "Don't frown."
Zane held Yanis's hand in his. "Do you feel better now? Is your stomach still hurting?"
Yanis shook her head. "It doesn't hurt anymore."
Except for Zane and Phoebe, no one else knew about Yanis's pregnancy, not even the Old Mr. and
Mrs. Lawrence. Yanis hadn't told Bonnie either, afraid that Bonnie would worry about her while already
dealing with Myles's situation. So, Yanis pretended to have other matters while in the hospital.
On the third day of her hospitalization, when Sandy came to the hospital for a checkup, she found out
about Yanis's situation. Sandy was happy for Yanis but also concerned about her.
Although Yanis was doing fine these past few days and underwent regular checkups with no problems,
she couldn't be discharged yet due to some test results that didn't meet the standards.
After Sandy left the hospital, Bonnie came in the afternoon.
Seeing Yanis not saying anything, Bonnie just sat by the bed.
Yanis knew she was wrong for keeping this from Bonnie, but she also worried about her and didn't want
her to be anxious about Yanis's condition, especially during this period when Bonnie was already
troubled by Myles.
"Don't be angry. I'm fine," Yanis gently poked Bonnie's arm and said softly.
Bonnie looked at her but remained silent.
Yanis poked her again, "I won't keep things from you next time."
After a long silence, Bonnie finally looked at Yanis seriously and said, "If Sandy hadn't come for a
checkup today, were you planning to keep it from me until you give birth and announce it at the baby's
full moon celebration? Or maybe wait until your son gets married?"
Yanis couldn't help but chuckle, "He's not even fully formed yet. How do you know it's a son?"
Bonnie gave her a stern look, "Is that the point?"
Yanis reached out and poked Bonnie's face gently, "Alright, I was wrong. Don't be mad."
Bonnie looked at her pitiful appearance and sighed, "You really make people worry."
Yanis smiled, "What about Myles?"
Bonnie replied, "Haider took him over. Some people from the Lu family came and wanted to see
Myles."
"Why didn't you go?"
"Why should I? Myles and I aren't officially engaged, we haven't formally met each other's parents, and
we haven't even registered. What right do I have to go?"
Yanis wanted to say something but stopped herself before the words left her mouth.
Bonnie asked, "I heard that your family's Mr. Lawrence, Uncle Dylan, had a child out of wedlock.
What's the situation with that?"
Yanis confirmed, "Yes, but there have been some complications. The child hasn't been found yet."
Bonnie exclaimed, "Wow, what a dramatic aristocratic story." After hearing the whole story, Bonnie
couldn't help but exclaim.
