Chapter 2230
Josiah said, "I've prepared this whole speech to confess my feelings to our silent goddess, but I'm worried I'll get so nervous, I'll forget everything." Morrison smiled warmly, "If it's something heartfelt you've prepared, how could you forget?"
"You never know, man. Once the nerves hit, my mind might just go blank."Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Carson Foster leaned in with a grin, "You should ask me for advice. I've got experience in this department."
Josiah rolled his eyes, "Your kind of confession? No thanks!"
"What do you mean 'my kind'?!" Carson called out to Marina, "Marina, tell them, were you moved by my proposal or not?"
Marina, who had been chatting with Estelle, turned around, "What did you say?"
Everyone burst into laughter.
Charlie chimed in, "He said, 'In this lifetime, I will only love you."
Marina shrugged, "He must have checked the weather forecast before making that promise!"
The laughter erupted again, especially from Estelle, who remembered Jonathan saying something similar while sitting next to her.
Carson, with his clear and handsome features, looked at Marina, "What if I meant every word?"
Marina stepped back playfully, "Then you'd better stay away from me, lest you get struck by lightning and I get caught in the crossfire!" Carson facepalmed, "Charlie, help me out here!"
Charlie laughed, "Don't worry, it's winter. No thunderstorms in sight!"
The group shared a good laugh before Josiah approached Charlie, reaching out to the little girl in his arms, "Come on, let me give you a hug!" Kya, munching on something in Charlie's embrace, shook her head, "No!"
Josiah blushed, "Why won't you let me hug you?"
Kya explained seriously, "You're going to be a prince, and princes can only hug princesses."
Josiah couldn't help but laugh, "How did you get so smart?"
Charlie spoke up, "To keep you from hugging her, my Kya has to be smart!"
Josiah poured Charlie a drink,
playfully saying, "Bro, I'm getting married. Honestly, I envy you. After
all the fun, you still get to stay single."
Charlie gave him a look, calmly replying, "I've got a daughter now, no rush."
Josiah smirked, "Rushing won't help you. Emily's young; she might not even want to get married yet."
Charlie's expression darkened, "Are you saying you don't want to get married either?"
"Just mentioning Emily might not
want to get married gets you all
worked up! Josiah's handsome face was teasing, "Be nice to me and when I get married, I'll have my m put in a good word for you. If she gets anxious, she might just nudge Emily towards marriage herself. Wouldn't that work out for you?"
Charlie glanced at him, his gaze relaxed, "And what do you want in return?"
Josiah leaned in, "Be my best man!"
Charlie's lips curved into a smirk, "Disappear from my sight within three seconds, or I'll make sure you can't even attend your own wedding." Josiah burst out laughing, "Knew you wouldn't agree. Then let Kya be the flower girl, that's okay, right?"
Charlie nodded, "That's fine, but only because of Amiee!"
"Doesn't matter whose face it's for as long as you agree!" Josiah teased Kya with a chocolate bar, "I hope Amiee and I can have a daughter as
cute as Kya one day!" as

At the mention, Charlie looked proud, "You think adorable daughters just happen? With your looks, forget about it."
Josiah snorted at his smugness.
Charlie asked, "Chosen your bridesmaids yet?"
Josiah nodded, "Yep, Estelle, Emily, and Marina. All close friends of my silent goddess!"
