Damian’s Obsession

I opened my eyes slowly and saw him swimming.

“Aren’t you coming?” He asked.

“Nah.. I’m good here.” I answered.

“Just so you know, you’re missing a lot.” He said but I said noting and just watched him swim.

“I planned this whole day for you but you’re just being a party pooper.” He said when he noticed I was being adamant about not swimming.

“I can’t swim.” I said.

“Don’t worry. I’m here to hold you from drowning.” He said.

“But …..”

“Don’t be scared. I won’t let you drown.” He said.

I sighed in defeat before pulling off my clothes, leaving only my underwear on. I took slow steps into the lake until the water was above my stomach. I started to panic but luckily, Damian quickly led me on my waist.

“See there’s nothing to worry about.” He said when he noticed that I was calm.

“Yeah.” I muttered as I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the water splashing on my body.

We were floating silently in the water until I heard Damian ask;

“Would you like to go to Paris with me?”

I quickly opened my eyes and stared at him in shock.

“What????” I almost screamed out in shock.

“Why??” I asked.

“Well, I’m about to travel there for business. I’d be gone for almost a month. I know you’re gonna miss me so much so I would like you to come with me.” He answered with a grin playing on his lips.

“Wait, who told I’m going to miss you?” I asked, with one of my eyebrows raised.

“You can’t even bare it if you don’t see me for a day. Talk less of two weeks.” He answered.

Is he seriously playing with me??

“You mean you’re the one that can’t leave without me.” I said releasing a hearty laughter.

“I guess you’re right. Would you still come with me?” He asked again hopefully.

“This is new. I have to think about it first.” “What’s there to think about? Haven’t you ever dreamt of going to Paris before? One of the most beautiful cities in the world.” He asked.

“I haven’t because my budget couldn’t carry it.” I answered truthfully.

“You’re funny.” He said with a small chuckle.

“Is my predicament something to laugh at?” I asked feigning annoyance.

“No princess.” He said holding back his laughter when he saw my annoyed expression.

“Please come with me. I promise you’re gonna enjoy your stay there. When I’m done with work, we are going to go on a tour around the city. There are different beautiful places you would love to go. Including balls and so on.” He cajoled.

It was tempting but I had second thoughts. I had a feeling that going there could turn out to be aa very bad decision. Something in me told me not to go but I wanted to enjoy life for once.

I have always been living in fear that whatever decision I make was not gonna end well for me. For once, I need to take the bull by its horns.

I need to only think about the good things that could happen if I left with him instead of thinking about what could go wrong. I might never have this chance again for the rest of my life so I need to make a decision now.

“Done making a decision?” Damian asked bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Promise me that we would do all you’ve just mentioned now?” I asked instead.

“I promise.” He answered.

“Promise that nothing would go wrong and I won’t regret my decision.” I said.

“I promise you princess.” He said with a small smile playing on his lips.

It seems like he already knew my answer but he was just waiting to hear it from my mouth him self.

“Fine. I’ll go with you.” I finally said after hesitating for a while.

“Really??” Damian asked in surprise like he wasn’t expecting me to say yes.

“Don’t act all surprise as if you didn’t know I would say yes.” I said.

“You see why I said you can’t live without me? You even agreed to follow me to another country.” He said with a smug look.

“Are you kidding me?? Aren’t you the one that practically begged me to go with you?” I asked with a scoff.

“It’s not like it was my pleading that made you choose to go. Face it, you can’t live without me.” He teased.

“Really?? Then, go to Paris by yourself. I’m not interested anymore.” I said angrily and was about to leave his embrace when he held me back.

“Let me go.” I said in anger as I tried to struggle out of his hold.

“You’ll drown if I let go of you. Have you forgotten that you can’t swim?” He asked.

I stopped struggling immediately. I had forgotten for a second that it was his hold on me that was keeping me from drowning.

I felt helpless but still stayed still. I didn’t fail to show him how annoyed I was by giving him a frown.

“Are you mad princess?” He teased but I didn’t reply him.

“I’m the one that can’t live without you.” He said trying to appease my anger but I still ignored him.

“Alright, I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” He pleaded with a pout.

I wanted to chuckle at his childish antics but held myself back. After much pleading from him, I finally forgave him.

“We are leaving next tomorrow.” He said.

“So soon??” I asked in surprise.

“Yes, it just happened that way. So make sure to pack all the things you need there.” He said.

“Okay.” I answered.

I really hope nothing would go wrong. I’m about to leave for a place I have never ever planned to go in my life, I hope it wouldn’t turn out to be a bad decision.NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

We kept on swimming in the lake until sunset and we returned back to the mansion.

I put on my night dress before I laid next to Damian on the large bed. He wrapped on of his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to towards him.

“Good night princess.” He muttered with his eyes shut tightly.

“Goodnight Damian.” I answered as I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

“Really?? Damian’s really going to Paris with Selina?” The unknown man said with a dark cackle erupting from his lips.

“Yes boss. The informant just told me.” Leo answered.

“That’s great. It only means that they have gotten really close. Probably in love. Everything’s just going my way. Call her and tell her it is time.” The boss said.

“Okay boss.” Leo said with a small bow before leaving the room.

“Damian, you just made a big mistake in bringing Selina into your life. You don’t know what’s coming for you two.”
