Chapter 827
They even allow fights, drug testing, and various experiments here. Those experiments are worse than death.
Hearing this, Nina felt a chill run down her spine.
The girl let out a bitter laugh. "Even our bodies are used after we die."
She went on to explain how corpses were utilized, making Nina's skin crawl. This place shouldn't be called a slave camp. It should be called a hell camp!
Meanwhile, in another part of the building, a lavish bedroom with a grand bed and luxurious decor stood in stark contrast.
Ivy was in her room, surrounded by luxurious jewelry, exquisite pastries, and drinks. She was enjoying herself when suddenly, the door was pushed open with a loud creak. Two tall men stood on either side of the doorway, instantly recognizable by their attire.
A moment later, a figure cloaked in black, completely obscuring his face with a black fanged mask, entered. Even his eyes were hidden.
Ivy immediately stood up and respectfully approached the man. "Father."
The man stood a short distance from Ivy, making no movements. His voice was raspy as if his throat had been damaged. "Ivy, what have you been up to lately?"
Ivy bowed her head. She knew his visit was no coincidence. Since arriving here, her father had never come to see her.
She answered truthfully, "Not much..."
But before she could finish, he interrupted her coldly. "Not much? Then why did you bring someone back?"
He took a few steps closer, and Ivy's breath caught, but she quickly composed herself. "Father, this person bullied me and almost killed me wanted to teach her a lesson, but Mr. Kerr stopped me."
Looking at the man before her, Ivy couldn't see his expression behind the mask, unsure if he was pleased or angry. He remained silent, increasing her anxiety.
She took a deep breath and
discreetly pinched her palm before
continuing Father, I don't
understand why Mr. Kerr is
protecting this ordinary woman. Is
she relying on his protection to bully
me?"
The man chuckled softly. "Don't drag Mr. Kerr into this. I know exactly who he is."
He could easily see through Ivy's
ploy. Between a daughter who appeared out of nowhere and someone who had been by his side for years, he naturally trusted the
latter more.
As for the woman Ivy brought back, he was curious to see what kind of person could almost bully Ivy and still be protected by his trusted aide.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
"Father, I'm sorry. I... I was afraid you'd blame me. While I did lie about some things, it's true that she bullied me."
Ivy's head remained bowed, looking like a child caught misbehaving.
His voice was as cold as ever. "I don't want to see something like this happen again."
"Understood," Ivy replied, not daring to contradict him.
She kept her head down, not daring to look up.
The man said nothing, staring at Ivy for a few seconds before turning to leave.
It was only after he was gone for a while that she dared to lift her head, her fingernails still digging into her palms.
