Chapter 11: Aren't You An Orphan?

Chapter 11: Aren't You An Orphan?

"Yes, Roland, I know you must think that I'm selfish, but I just want Andrina to live," Luna cried.

"You have to do the surgery," Roland interrupted Luna and looked at Andrina. "It's best to do it now.

Since she has already gotten the money, you have no reason to refuse."

"But I can't," Andrina cried.

"Do you want to die?"

"I... "

Luna spoke up at this moment, holding Andrina's hands. "Andrina, I'm begging you, do the surgery. I

don't want you to die. Alvera will survive just fine without a small part of her liver, but you will die if you

don't do the transplant! I want you to live, please!" NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Mom." Andrina hugged her mother as they both cried bitterly.

...

Roland felt a hint of annoyance. "Did she really need all that money?" he thought.

At the same time, there was a knock on Alvera's room.

Alvera looked over to the door. "Please come in."

The door to the room opened and a handsome man walked in with a bouquet of flowers.

Alvera was surprised to see him. "Timothy?"

Timothy closed the door, walked to the bedside, and handed the flowers to her. "Alvera, this is for you."

She took the flowers and took a sniff. "They smell good. Thank you."

"You've lost a lot of weight," Timothy commented.

"That's good, then I don't have to go on a diet anymore," Alvera replied playfully.

"You still have the best comebacks," he replied.

"Timothy, the people next door won't be happy to see you over here."

"I don't care about them. I heard that the examination was over."

Alvera nodded.

"Alvera, you wouldn't have to suffer if my blood type had matched with her," Timothy continued.

Alvera smiled. "If your blood type matched, I wouldn't exist in the first place. It's not your fault. How's

Auntie?"

"Same as usual." Timothy replied. "She told me to tell you something before I came over."

"What is it?" Alvera asked.

"Get some money from them before the surgery, then get as far away from Calgary as possible. Luna

Earhart will make your life miserable."

Alvera pressed her lips together. "Please thank her for me."

Timothy reached out and held her hand tightly. "Alvera, I know what you're trying to do, but you're no

match for them. If what happened four years ago happens again, your future will be ruined."

"It's already ruined, Timothy. I have no future," Alvera said.

Timothy was stunned by her expression when she said those words.

...

Those words were so sad, but Alvera was smiling brightly.

"Alvera." He sat down on the side of the bed and hugged her.

"Don't be like this," he said. "Just cry if you're sad."

Alvera smiled and hugged him back. "Timothy, I don't cry. Crying is for the weak, and I'm not weak."

At this moment, the door swung open again.

Alvera raised her head and saw Roland standing at the entrance of the ward.

Timothy looked around, hearing the sound of the door opening.

He paused a moment when he saw Roland. He did not know why Roland was here.

Alvera patted him on the back and ended the hug. Timothy stood up, facing Roland.

Roland looked at the man in front of him coldly, then looked at Alvera, who was lying on the bed

indifferently.

...

"Get out," he said.

Timothy paused for a moment.

"Timothy, you can go home," Alvera said. "Don't come and see me anymore. I'll be fine."

Timothy looked at her. "Are you really fine?"

She smiled and patted her chest. "Yeah, I'm made out of iron."

There was nothing else Timothy could do. He walked around Roland who was still standing by the door

and left.

...

Roland stepped forward angrily as the door to the ward closed behind him and pushed Alvera onto the

bed, trapping her underneath him.

"You've been caught in bed, Alvera Earhart, how does that feel like?" He asked angrily. "I

underestimated you. You are really good at seducing men."

"You're technically right, but that was my brother. He doesn't count," Alvera replied coolly.

"You have a brother? Aren't you an orphan?" Roland asked, his brows furrowed in suspicion.
