It was Edward's wife, Demi.

Demi seemed to have recognized her.

"Demi..." Edward walked over with his coat. He was stunned for a few seconds when noticing them.

Then he looked at Bridget and Jacob.

He handed her coat to Demi. "We should go."

Edward held Demi as he walked.

As they passed Jacob, Jacob stopped him. "Edward."

Edward waved Jacob's hand away and walked towards the elevator.

Edward felt horrible because Jacob and Bridget were in romantic relationships.

He couldn't accept that his close friend and the woman he liked were together.

It was an insult to him.

"Edward."

As Jacob wanted to explain, Xavier stopped him and looked at him calmly. "Eat some food first."

At first, Jacob did not understand what Xavier meant but then decided to give Edward explanations

later when he calmed down because Edward was too furious to listen to the explanations.

They had planned to go skiing, but when meeting Edward, they changed their minds.

After dinner, Xavier held Arya's hand and went back to the room.

As soon as they entered the room, Arya couldn't wait and asked. "Why don't you let Jacob explain?

You..."

Xavier pressed her lips with his finger.

Edward was so angry that he wouldn't listen to Jacob's explanations.

Arya looked at Xavier and stopped talking.

Xavier kissed her. "Go out with Bridget today and buy whatever you like."

Arya seemed to understand Xavier's intention and nodded. "Would you and Jacob go to talk with

Edward?"

"Yes." Arya pinched his collar and said in a low voice, "Try to explain it clearly. Let Edward know that

Jacob and Bridget were together after he got married—it was a mistake. No one was wrong."

No one had expected this situation.

"Don't worry." Xavier scratched her nose. Arya covered her nose and glared at him. "It hurts."

"Let me see." Xavier went to hold her hand. Arya put it away. "You should go now. Edward might leave

to avoid you."

"OK," Xavier helped fix her collar. "When you go out, put on a scarf. It's windy."

"I see." Arya nodded.

Edward and Demi had breakfast in the dining room in the hotel where they lived.

After Edward and Demi finished the breakfast, they met Xavier.

As Arya said, Edward wanted to avoid them and packed up to check out.

While Edward paid the bill at the front desk, Xavier walked over and glanced at the suitcase in

Edward's hand. "Are you in such a hurry to leave?"

Edward answered, "I'm busy."

"Are you going to break up with us?" Xavier seriously asked, "If that's what you want, then whatever."

Xavier would not force him.

Xavier took two steps and stopped. "I'm sorry I didn't attend your wedding. If possible, we can have a

drink together in the future."

Xavier walked away.

Edward clutched the room card tightly and had a mixed feeling. No matter what Bridget did to him for

so many years, Xavier had never treated him badly.

Xavier and his family wanted Bridget to marry him.

Edward thought that he might be doomed to be a passer-by in the life of Bridget.

Edward handed the suitcase to Demi. "You go back to the room first."

Demi took the suitcase. She didn't understand the conflict between Edward and Xavier but only knew

about his relationship with Bridget. "Then come back early."

Demi was so considerate that she didn't ask any more questions and walked towards the elevator with

the suitcase.
