Chapter 1113 Provocation for Death
Chapter 1113 Provocation for Death
Maximilian decided not to hide anything from her when he heard the question. He paused and
answered, "I was the young master of the Dragon Sect. It was a long time ago, or maybe I should say I
was just their pawn."
Liliana was shocked when she heard Maximilian belittling herself. She looked into Maximilian's eyes
and was stunned. There was a whole world of emotions in it, anger, persistence, etc.
He seemed to have witnessed the changes and vicissitudes of the whole world. Such eye expression
could hardly be owned by a man in his twenties.
Liliana found this so hard to believe.
"You've been looking for my grandfather... do you want him to make a key for you? That key must be
remarkable, I assume." Liliana asked cautiously.
Maximilian knew that the secret was among him, Harley, and her grandfather. Her grandfather had
sworn to keep the secret and promised not to tell anyone.
Now he wasn't sure if the old man had broken his promise.
If Liliana had figured out that on her own, he would be really surprised at how smart she was.
"How did you know?" Maximilian asked with a smile.
Liliana raised her chin and showed her fair neck, saying in pride, "I knew his efficiency of making keys.
It usually took him less than an hour to make a key, but he spend the whole day in that room on that
day, and yet he still failed to forged that key. I can imagine how complicated the key was."
Maximilian paused and was impressed by her inference. That made sense. He looked at her with
admiration in his eyes.
"That key is complicated. It will be used to open the gate of the treasure house of the Dragon Sect."
Maximilian answered.
Liliana knew Maximilian didn't want to talk about it much. She looked at the pianist next to her had said,
"The best piano solo I've ever heard, is the one played by the 'Prince Piano' in the Ocean&Sky Hotel in
H City. It went viral in the whole city later."
"Ocean&Sky Hotel and Prince Piano?" Maximilian wondered why she brought this up.
He did have played a son that day. The "prince" she referred to might be him.
Liliana said in amazement, "You didn't know that? He's famous."
Maximilian shook his head and said, "No. I. haven't heard of it."
"It's a pity, but lucky you... I've recorded it. It was on the belated wedding of a rich guy, and somebody
happened to recorded it and sent me a copy."
Liliana seemed to have found the shared interest with him. She took out her phone and started to
search for the clip.
When Maximilian heard this, he was almost sure that it had something to do with him.
Liliana took out the clip and showed it to Maximilian. He saw himself sitting before the piano and felt it
so funny. It was no one but himself on the screen that was playing the song.
It was a random play, and he didn't expect to be so sensational to the listeners.
Liliana looked at the back of the man in the clip with fascinated eyes. She said, "He must be very
handsome. I've made my decision that I'll marry someone just like him."
Maximilian snickered when he heard what she said. She didn't know she was actually with the man
now. Her words were confessions.
"What if he's a shadow killed?" Maximilian suddenly asked.
Liliana rolled her eyes at him and mocked, "Do you have to sabotage my little fantasy towards him?
Don't spoil the good atmosphere here! I bet he's a handsome man." Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Maximilian was speechless. He didn't want to say more.
Just by then, the waiter came over again, and said to Liliana, "Ma'am, someone asked me to give you
this."
Liliana took it over when she heard it. She opened it and found that it was a diamond ring inside.
Instead of being happy, she was startled.
Liliana smiled politely and asked, "I don't think this is for me."
"No, this diamond ring belongs to you." An attractive voice was drawing near. The next moment, a
young gentleman in a suit walked over, with a shiny smile on his face.
His face looked handsome, but his eyes somehow looked evil.
Liliana furrowed her brows upon hearing that voice. She said without looking back, "Cassius, I told you
to stay away from me."
Cassius looked a bit embarrassed when he heard she said that. He tried his best to make an entrance,
only to be given the cold shoulder from Liliana. He stood there with an awkward smile, silent.
"Liliana, I know you don't love me, but you should at least give me a chance." Cassius said as he
forced a smile. He wanted to persuade Liliana to give him another chance.
Liliana shook her head and replied, "Don't be so stubborn. I have no feelings for you. Now please leave
me alone, I need to finish my dinner."
"Can I join you?"
Cassius didn't leave. Instead, he put up a brazen smile.
Liliana looked grim. She refused his request decisively.
Cassius didn't seem to care about it at all. He walked to Maximilian and sneered, "Hey! Why don't you
give your seat to me? What are you doing here anyway?"
Maximilian laughed when he saw how ridiculous Cassius was. The guy was the most shameless
person he had ever seen. He had no right to claim that seat.
Cassius said as he sat down, trying to push Maximilian away, only to find that Maximilian wouldn't
move an inch.
When Maximilian moved just an inch, Cassius could barely sit still and almost fell to the ground.
The on-lookers saw the scene and burst into laughter.
Cassius gritted his teeth and was about to scold. Nobody had ever treated him like this. He was
extremely upset.
He stood up and stared at Maximilian coldly. He was trying very hard to suppress his temper because
the woman he liked was there.
"You're her assistant, right?"
Cassius knew that Maximilian was a friend of Liliana's. He said that to humiliate Maximilian.
Liliana frowned and said, "He is a friend of mine."
Cassius looked surprised. He stretched out his hand to Maximilian and greeted him in excitement,
"Lucky for you to have become Miss Booth's friend. You're like a lucky toad sitting beside a
swan."
