Chapter 234: The New Guy

"Arabella, I can help you and Adam settle in another country." While they were eating in the canteen of

the hospital, Eric offered Arabella.

"But know that if you do that, you will keep on running from Bill Sky. I don't think Bill would just let go of

the only heir of the Sky." Eric added calculating carefully their plan.

He was right!

Since Bill knew Adam already, she could not hide his son from him forever.

Bill would definitely get Adam from her by hook or by crook.

"Oh, brother!... God knows how much I wanted to settle in another country with my son away from Bill

Sky. We are going to start fresh. I can enroll Adam in a new school. We can have our simple yet happy

life back." After her words, she heaved a heavy sigh.

here." She heaved another heavy sigh.

"Who is that guy in your life aside from being a friend?" Eric asked with a frown.

His sincerity was shown in them. "Bill Sky is a dangerous enemy. He will never spare you with his wrath

and I can only fully protect you if you are living with me." Eric's tone was powerful and convincing.

"But brother, I don't want you to get in trouble too like Damien." With tears started assembled in her

eyes, she blurted.

"Bill Sky can't do anything to me. If you are under my roof, he can't do anything to you as well. Besides,

Ivan and Adam would be very happy. Let them help each other's trauma." Eric was right again.

She knew Adam had still not recovered from Bill.

Adam was still holding grief in his heart.

He always seemed to show his stronger side for her but as his mother, she could feel the intense

sadness in his heart.

She knew Adam was hiding his true emotion so he could not affect her and she was used to this kind of

trait Adam had.

He wanted to be strong for her, especially now, Adam seemed to see his worst enemy, his father, Bill

Sky.

"What's your decision?"

Eric's voice brought her back to her senses.

Arabella looked at Eric's sincerity then she smiled.

"I... I agree." She answered while blushing.

Though Eric was good to her, she was still shy at him.

She felt desperate and troubled by his offer but she felt it was a win-win offer.

Adam would be less feeling lonely when he had Ivan around.

Maybe he could forget his father when he had a playmate.

"Good!" Eric quickly held her hands on the table.

She quickly stood up to leave.

That was the only time Eric let go of her hands.

Eric also stood up then walked with her.

When they reached the room, Eric's phone rang.

He excused himself to answer his phone.

She entered Damien's room and to her surprise, a girl was sobbing while holding Damien's hand.

At that time, she wished Damien had seen and heard the girl.

Her words were soft but Arabella knew the girl was telling him something.

"Lira?" She walked closer and she immediately recognize the crying girl.

Lira quickly turned around wiping her tears with her fingers.

Her expression was stunned too.

Arabella couldn't help but hugged Lira.

She knew how Lira loved Damien and that added to her guilt.

"Lira... I'm sorry, Damien will be okay." Arabella couldn't help bursting into tears on Lira's shoulder.

"Ms. J, I have to tell you something..." Lira muttered in between her cry.

She was about to say something to Arabella when Damien made a deteriorating sound.

In a panic, they quickly looked at Damien at the same time.

“Damien! Damien!” Arabella rushed closer to Damien’s bed.

She didn’t know what to do.

Her mind went completely black and her heart raced so fast.

“Damien! Please don’t do this… Damien, wake up!” She roared desperately.

Her guilt was banging inside her.

Lira quickly called the nurses.

They came in running with the doctors to check Damien.

He was quickly pushed back to the emergency room leaving Lira and Arabella in awe outside.

Arabella sat on the couch outside the emergency room while Lira was standing near the door.

They were both trying to overcome the shock and fear of losing Damien.

Lira froze on her spot like she was in deep thought.

Her shoulders and head were low.

If not for the wall supporting her back, she might have collapsed as well.

On the other hand, Arabella heaved a deep sigh.

She wanted to see Damien’s physician and asked about his condition.

The wait is killing her slowly.

She could not wait anymore.

Different bad thoughts were coming to her but she was still hoping everything would be fine.

“Not Damien, please…” She prayed silently as her tears were dripping from the corners of her eyes.

“What happened?” Eric sounded.

He was panting as he came immediately after knowing.

“Eric…” Arabella muttered his name with a heavy heart.

Eric came closer to her and he hugged Arabella.

When she felt someone’s shoulder, Arabella cried her heart out.

She cried all her sadness and frustrations as she kept on blaming herself.

What happened to Damien was her fault.

If she didn’t walk out, Damien would have not chased her.

What a pathetic friend she is?

She should have handled the situation and Damien more calmly.

“It’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself.” Eric sounded sincerely all of a sudden.

His voice was deep and very comforting.

His words seemed like electricity that instantly traveled to her mind and was distributed to her whole

being.

Eric seemed to read her thoughts and had sensed her feelings.

He’s right.

‘Bill Sky!’ Her mind was screaming his name.

Her anger was boiling thinking of the man who seemed to catch all the evil did in the world.

Her anger towards him was a lifetime.

Bill Sky was killing all her loved ones.

She would not just sit down and wait until Lira, Eric, Farrah, and Adam would be his next target.

After a while, Damien’s physician came out.

He reported thoroughly Damien’s condition as they had to transfer him to the ICU.

A blood clot was found in Damien’s head and the doctor had to dissolve it before it would get worst.

It was already morning when Damien was finally settled in the ICU.

Looking at Damien’s unconscious face, Arabella clenched her fists hard and gritted her teeth.

“Lira, what’s your boss’ schedule today?” She suddenly asked Lira.

Her tone was in a hurry like a woman who was looking for a fight and was going to make a scene

hysterically.

Lira was a bit stunned as she knew, Arabella was furious.

She could see it in her eyes.

“Mr. Sky would probably be in his office right now. His first meeting is at 11:30 am today.” Lira

answered in full detail.

Her boss was always early in his office especially when he had prior meetings.

It was his nook to have a thorough scanning and reviewing of his materials for the meeting.

“Are you okay, Ms. J?” Lira noticed Arabella’s uneasiness.

She knew she was angry but she could not decipher was she was thinking at the moment.

“Please take care of Damien. I will be back later.” Instead of answering Lira’s question, Arabella fled.

Lira was left in a daze for a while.

She looked at Damien with full of remorse.

She sat beside him and held Damien’s hand while her tears were starting to run from her puffy swollen

eyes due to intense crying earlier.

“I’m sorry… It’s not my intention to kill you. I’m very sorry… I’m very sorry my love…” With tears

unstoppably flowing and with a shattered heart tone, Lira closed her eyes as she kissed Damien’s

forehead.

At Sky Corporation, Arabella stormed inside wearing her rugged jeans, sneakers, and a white shirt.

Her expression was dangerous.

Her anger was screaming all over her.

“You!” She roared pointing at him while she strode towards his desk.

Bill lifted his head.

The air suddenly froze.

An intense tension was floating in the air like waiting for the time that they would kill each other.

“Bill Sky, you are worse than an evil! How could you do that to Damien?” She roared in her loudest

voice.

Her heart was racing so fast like she was ready to kill him just to revenge Damien and her family.

Bill didn’t move and his expression didn’t change.

He looked at her like he didn’t know her.

She was like a stranger that he was disgusted to know.

His eyes were like the sharpest blades that could cut her in half.

Getting rid of her fears, Arabella got all the documents on his table and smashed everything to the

ground.

She was fearless now.

No one could stop her even Bill Sky.

Then she grabbed Bill’s collar, “Listen to me, you monster! Leave us alone!” Her killer eyes were

pierced into him while her other hand was clenched hard.

She was about to give him a heavy punch to teach him a lesson and avenge Damien but Bill had

caught her hand.

He squeezed it hard that she could feel her bone was about to crack and without any word, he

forcefully dragged her inside his private room.
