Chapter 95
Chapter 95 Sleeping With Him
“It's not your fault, Hope. Get some rest, and tell Buck if you need anything.” “Maia...” Hope called out and said solemnly, “Thank you.”
After Maia hung up, someone knocked on the door.
“Ma’am, we've recovered the footage.” The IT manager entered the office and handed a thumb drive to Maia. “It contains all the surveillance footage on that day. | watched all of it, and only one woman seemed suspicious.”
Maia let out a bitter smile as she took the drive. That woman must be Yvette. Since she had admitted that she was the murderer, the surveillance footage wasn’t important now.
“Leave it with me then.”NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
The IT manager nodded and turned to leave. Maia put the thumb drive in a nearby drawer and closed it. Seeing it was 5 p.m., she left the office and took the elevator after saying goodbye to a few employees. When she reached the first floor, she saw Nigel waiting for her in the lobby.
“Hey, Nigel, when did you arrive?”
“| just got here.” Nigel smiled. “Come, let’s go shopping first.”
“All right.” Maia nodded and went with him.
Just as she got into his car, her phone vibrated. Although she didn’t save Cedric’s number, she recognized it.
“Where are you, honey?”
She wondered how his texts came through as she had blocked him.
At that moment, several text messages came in.
“Have you gotten off work? Let me pick you up.”
“Please reply, honey.”
“Honey?”
Pursing her lips, Maia tried to add his number to the blacklist again but was unable to do it. Frustrated, Maia deleted the messages and pocketed her phone.
“What's the matter? Something important?” Nigel asked gently as he drove toward the Maia shook her head. “Nab, just spam messages.
Nigel didn’t dwell on it and drove into the mall's underground parking lot.
At the HL. Tower, Cedric had sent many messages but failed to receive a single reply. As this had happened before, he was pretty used to it now.
He knew she was no longer the woman who would yearn for his return from work every day. “You should stop, sir.” Baz saw Cedric try to send another text and quickly said, “You're spamming her, you know.” Cedric shot him a glare, and Baz quickly shut up.
“Find out where she is.”
Nothing could stop him from reaching Maia.
“Right away, sir,” Baz answered, surprised that Cedric refused to give up.
Around five minutes later, Baz said, “Sir, three minutes ago, she entered a shopping mall.” “Alone?”
Shaking his head, Baz gulped and said, “No, she was with Nigel Clayton.”
“Shit!” Cedric cursed and headed out of his office.
Baz quickly followed after him. Their car was stuck in the traffic because it was the evening rush hour.
When they finally reached the entrance of the shopping mall, Maia and Nigel happened to walk out of the building with their shopping bags.
Seeing this, Cedric ran his hand through his stray hair in frustration. “Baz, do you think she’s sleeping with him?”
Looking at him through the rearview mirror, Baz coughed violently and shook his head vigorously. “Of course not. He wouldn't dare upset you, sir.”
“Well, she would,” he said, distressed.
“Sir, their car is coming out now.”
Cedric instructed coldly, “Follow them.”
“I'm on it.” Baz did as told, thankful they had switched to a car they seldom used and were less likely to be spotted. +15 BOHUS

Maia then opened the door to Tess’s apartment with her fingerprint. “Aunt Tires!” Mala called out as she entered.
“We're here, Ms. Tess,” Nigel said.
Tess emerged from the kitchen and smiled at the two. “Hey, you two.” “Here are some gifts for you, Ms. Tess.”
“You shouldn't have!” Tess saw Nigel carrying several shopping bags. “You just gave me a gift today, remember? | can’t take them.”
“Come on, Ms. Tess. Just invite me over for dinner more often.‘
She chuckled. “All right then, but no more gifts next time, okay?”
“Woah, whatever you're cooking smells so yummy. Even if you don’t invite me over, | might come anyway.”
Tess laughed happily and looked at him and Maia.
“Aww, you two make such a great pair.” Tess liked Nigel very much.
Caught off guard, Maia quickly said, “Shouldn’t you be cooking now, Aunt Tess?”
Catching herself, Tess said, “Oh, | almost forgot about the chicken soup. Maia, bring him to the living room. | have to get busy.”
