When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 251

Sophia's heart sank the moment she saw how guarded he was.

Just last night, Susanna had told her that she saw Orion carrying a girl out of a bar, but she hadn't believed it.

Finding out that Orion was staying at a hotel, she had rushed over. And now, the truth was undeniable!

Sophia knew it was her own wishful thinking, trying to please Orion's mother and spreading rumors of an engagement with Orion, all for a chance to be with him. But deep down, she was well aware of Orion's indifference towards her.

Orion gave Sophia a cold look, not uttering a single word. Too intimidated to approach further or dare to barge into his room.

At that moment, a waiter pushed a cart over. Orion took over the cart, glancing at Sophia, "Excuse me."

Sophia instinctively stepped back, her heart not ready to give up, "Orie, I just..."Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Orion shut the door without saying a word, from start to finish. He pushed the cart to where Lemira was.

Lemira glanced at the door, "Who were you talking to just now?"

It sounded like a woman's voice.

Orion's voice was even, "Room service."

He handed Lemira a bag of clothes, "Get changed first."

Lemira took the bag, but realized she was stark naked. How was she supposed to change?

Orion turned around, "Go on, I won't look."

Blushing, Lemira grabbed the bag, noticing even the underwear was prepared. She quickly changed and coughed, "I'm done."

Orion turned back, pushing the breakfast cart towards her, "Eat something first."

Lemira glanced at the breakfast, realizing she was actually hungry. Sitting on the bed, she began to eat, sneaking a glance at him, "Aren't you going to eat?" Just then, Orion's phone rang.

"I need to take this call."

He stepped out to the balcony, his voice turning callous, "Speak."

"How did things go with Lemon last night?"

Orion looked a bit stiff, "Don't ask what you shouldn't, curiosity killed the cat!"

"Come on, don't tell me you actually slept with Lemon, what now?"

"No, I wouldn't touch her."

"Good that you're still sensible. She can't be with you, be aware."

Orion glanced back at the figure eating at the table, his gaze softening evidently.

His voice tinged with bitterness, "I know."

He was more aware of this than anyone else. Yet, he felt trapped between a rock and a hard place.

Orion changed the subject, "How's the investigation from last night?"

"It's connected to the Sinclair family. Evelina is attending the Business School, same class as Sophia's sister. She deliberately stirred

trouble making Lemon offen net

Susanna, leading to last night's bar incident."

Orion thought about Sophia showing up at the hotel. He spoke, his voice deepened, "Did you take care of Susanna's bodyguards? Make sure they keep quiet."

"You don't have to mention it. That's already handled, but the Sinclairs might know you're seeing someone else since Susanna saw you teaving with Lemon in your arms."

Orion massaged his temples, "We can't let her existence be known; it's not good for her!"

He knew Lemira wanted to break free from the Langston family todive her own life. If their relationship was exposed, she'd face endless

troubles. He didn't want to ruin her life

"That's manageable. But about Lemon being set up, what do you plan to do? If we hadn't been there last night, things could've turned ugly."

"Didn't you say Susanna was a bully in school, even causing some serious trouble? Leak the worst incident, let the Sinclairs discipline their daughter!" Orion knew Lemira didn't want him to intervene. But that didn't mean he would do nothing!
