Chapter 31 I Can Terminate The Contract Marriage Earlier

Susan and Edward discussed the details of the divorce a long time ago. Except that it was half a year

from their divorce and they discussed it after sex. That was why Susan felt that whatever was

discussed could not be taken seriously.

But now … she had to consider carefully how she should bring up the issue.

Since she was the one who wanted to end the marriage early, then the compensation that Edward

Susan took a taxi to Edward’s house and along the way she was considering how she should broach

the subject. Once she was at the villa, she saw Edward’s car stopped at the courtyard and suddenly

she forgot everything.

She bit her lips and walked to the door, entered the passcode, and entered the villa. She saw Edward

sitting on the sofa.

When Edward saw that Susan was back, he looked at her and said, “You’re back.”

Susan was startled by this and asked, “You… were you waiting for me?” Susan hesitated and asked in

disbelief.

“Yes,” Edward answered calmly.

“How long have you waited?” Susan felt guilty for asking… because she didn’t go home last night and if

Edward was to ask her about where she went, she couldn’t explain it properly.

However, Edward didn’t ask much and just replied, “Not too long.” Edward lied. He actually waited for

Susan since last night.

“That’s good, I was worried…” Susan patted her chest and looked at Edward. She walked to Edward,

blinked, and said, “Hubby… let’s…” Susan didn’t know why she couldn’t say ‘let’s divorce’.

Just at this moment, Edward’s cell phone rang and he looked coldly at the phone and went outside to

receive the call. After Edward received the call, he appeared to have some urgent matters and didn’t

return to the villa. Hence, Susan didn’t have the chance to mention the issue of divorce.

Vanessa practically didn’t sleep for the entire night. She consolidated all the things that had happened

between her, Edward, and Susan since she came back. She suddenly felt that her situation was rather

She took out her phone and looked at her contacts list to see if she could find someone who could tell

her what had happened to Edward over these years. In the end, she looked at a name and hesitated

for a long time before calling that number. The other party quickly received the call and immediately

said her name.

“Vanessa? What made you call me? Are you back in the country?”

Vanessa composed herself and grinned before saying, “Yes, Ryan, I’m back.”

“Where are you? I’ll go and see you.” The man’s voice was clearly excited but Vanessa was indifferent

and said, “Let’s… let’s meet at a café.”

“Okay. How about the Corner Café at DS Street?”

“Okay.” Vanessa quickly ended the call after saying.

On the other end, Ryan was overly excited and instructed the steward to prepare five suits whereby he

chose one to wear. Thereafter he drove quickly to the Corner Café to wait for Vanessa.

After the call, Vanessa took a shower and put on makeup. She looked at herself in the mirror and

remarked on how well she had taken care of herself. Her beauty had not diminished over these years.

But… but why had Edward distanced himself from her.

Ryan had been waiting at their old spot next to the window at the Corner Café by the time Vanessa

arrived.

head after a while. Her beautiful eyes seemed troubled as she looked at Ryan. Ryan looked at

Vanessa’s eyes and her eyes were still so beautiful and clear. Her slight smile was also very charming

due to the lighting. That was the Vanessa in his memories and also the look that he loved.

“I’m not sure if others had changed but I have never changed,” Ryan said with certainty and his eyes

were fixated on Vanessa.

Years ago, Ryan and Edward got to know Vanessa at the same time but Vanessa immediately picked

Edward. In Ryan’s script, he became the supporting actor as soon as he stepped onto the set and

could never be good enough for the lead actress.

“Then… what do you think of Edward’s feelings towards me?” Vanessa bit her lips and looked at Ryan.

She was waiting for Ryan to say that Edward hadn’t changed…

But Ryan looked at Vanessa for a long time. Then he said calmly and with determination, “Vanessa, if

Edward changed, then I’ll seek justice for you! I will always stand on your side.”

Vanessa smiled, took a sip from the cup of coffee, and said slowly, “Can you tell me about what went

on between Susan and Edward.” Vanessa took a deep breath. She was already mentally prepared not

to be overly upset by whatever Ryan said. She will just endeavor to find a way to overcome it.

set by his father, Logan Ford, to inherit the company shares. After you left Edward, although he had
