Chapter 50 Made a Deal
Elijah chuckled. He was not serious at all but looked at her with interest.
“Elijah, you should know that I don’t like Eva. After all, she has offended me over and over again in the
past and never knows when to stop,” Cordelia stated the facts calmly.
Elijah put away his smile and looked at her seriously. “She does have a bad temper. I will ask her to
apologize to you for offending you in the past.” Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Cordelia raised her eyebrows, seemingly surprised.
Elijah didn’t apologize to her for Eva, which made her a little satisfied.
“Okay then. Let’s make a deal. Mr. Hansen, do you mind it?” Cordelia smiled faintly and went straight to
the point.
Elijah had no objection because he had no choice.
If he could invite another doctor, Cordelia would have rejected him long ago.
“Sure. Go ahead.”
“I’m currently preparing for a private alternative medicine research institute.”
Elijah knew it even though Cordelia only said a few words.
“I will finance it, and the shares will be in your name.”
Cordelia didn’t expect Elijah to agree so quickly. She could tell Eva must be very important in his
heart.
Cordelia didn’t show any joy, but her eyes became colder.
They simply worked out a perfect verbal agreement.
Cordelia said, “Alright. Now, you can ask Miss Lewis to come in and apologize to me.”
Elijah was stunned and sat still.
“What? Don’t you want to keep your word?” Cordelia smiled, but her aura was not inferior to the man in
front of her.
A few seconds later, Elijah said with a sullen face, “Wait a moment.”
He got up and went out after speaking.
Cordelia waited for half an hour.

She was busy, and she didn’t want to waste time waiting for them.
At this moment, Elijah pushed Eva and finally came in through the door.
Eva’s eyes were red from crying, and she looked at Cordelia with resentment.
Cordelia smiled and stood where she was, looking down at Eva.
“Cor… Miss Carter, I was young and ignorant and said a lot of unpleasant words to you. Please forgive
me…”
Eva’s voice was very low. Cordelia couldn’t hear her at all when she said the last words.
I’m
sorry.
Cordelia said, “Miss Lewis, what are you talking about? Please say it again. I didn’t hear you.”
“You!”
Eva bit her lip with tears welling up in her eyes as if she had been humiliated.
She turned her head to look at Elijah behind her. “Elijah, she’s gone too far. She’s giving me a hard
time.”
Elijah frowned but didn’t speak.
Cordelia glanced at the time and said, “Miss Lewis, if you don’t want to apologize…”
“Eva!” Elijah shouted coldly.
With tears streaming down her face, Eva said loudly in a sobbing tone, “Miss Carter, I’m sorry. I was
ignorant and said a lot of unpleasant words to you before. Please forgive me!”
Cordelia said calmly, “Alright. I have a question for you. Did you block me on Elijah’s phone?”
After she spoke, Eva and Elijah were both stunned.
Eva never expected that she would be questioned face-to-face by Cordelia.
Elijah wore a dark face and remained silent all the time as if he wanted to act as an outsider during the
confrontation between the two women.
“Yes or no. Is it hard to answer?” Cordelia asked impatiently.
Eva twisted her fingers and said embarrassingly, “Yes…”
“Really? May I know why did you do this?” Cordelia asked in a stern tone.
