Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 152

“Tadale City”

Troy’s voice came from the other end of the line, making Audrey narrow her eyes

“I’m going over,” she said.

With the Callahan family’s status in fadale Caty, as long as there were clues, it would not be cult to find some City by searching online, though it might take some effort.

After all, Mr. Callahan’s reputation is well–earned and has real value, Audrey thought Jackale

She hung up the phone and changed into a simple set of clothes. Then, she casually packed two sets of outfits and walked out of the room.

She happened to see Lucas, who was coming out of Brian’s room and intending to return to his own room.

“Mommy, where are you going?” he asked.

Lucas’s cold and tender face scrunched up slightly

Audrey caressed his head and said. “I have something to do in Ladale City. I’ll be back in two days. Be good with Brian”

“Be careful then. Be sure to tell me if anything comes up

Lucas was a little worried about his mother going to Ladale City alone.

“Got it, little butler!” Audrey pinched Lucas’s cheek and went downstairs with her luggage.

Just as Audrey’s car pulled away from the Holland residence, it encountered Dylan’s car.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

After the car window was wound down, Dylan looked at Audrey and asked with a hint of coldness in his voice. Where are you going?”

Audrey gave Dylan a glance with a cold expression and said, “I have something to attend to. I’m going to ladale City”

“Get in the car. I’ll send you there. It happens that there’s something I want to tell you.”

Dylan frowned slightly before looking at Audrey.

Audrey thought for a moment. Then, she got out of the car.

Dylan glanced at his subordinate, who immediately got out of the car, respectfully took Audrey’s luggage from her, and placed it in the trunk.

Audrey directly opened the backseat door and got in. The door was closed. Just as Dylan was about to wound up the window his gaze unintentionally shifted. He then saw a figure standing by the window on the second floor.

A small figure frowned and stared coldly at Dylan with his lips tightly pursed.

An adult man and a little boy exchanged a silent glance before the car window was wound up again.

“Head to the airport, Dylan said.

Upon instructing his subordinate, he immediately lowered the partition between the front and back seats.

The space was immediately left with just Dylan and Audrey

“Have you bought the plane tickets?”

Initially, Dylan was still filled with frustration. At the thought that Audrey would rather play games with another man than reply to his messages, he felt an indescribable sense of irritation

But at this moment, as he saw her right in front of him, all his frustration and anger disappeared.

Even sitting together quietly like this was a luxury that Dylan had never had before.

Audrey replied indifferently. “Not yet. I’ll buy it at the airport.”

Tll get someone to handle it First, Dylan said. With that said, he sent a message to Richard

Audrey didn’t bother with any politeness toward Dylan. She lifted her eyes and glanced at him before asking indifferently, “What do you want to tell me?”

“I got someone to deal with Sarah. From her, I learned that she testified back then because she received a call from a woman. I suspect that this woman is the one behind the several attacks on you recently. Plus, this woman is likely rather infl

Dylan’s cold and handsome face became even colder when he thought of the series of assassination attempts that Audrey had faced recently.

“It should be someone from the royal family of Britamland Audrey pursed her lips, a cold glint flashing across her cold eyes. Tve briefly checked the information of the internal members of Britamland’s royal family, but I didn’t find anything.”

“I’ve already sent someone to Britamland. There should be news.” Dylan looked at Audrey. His deep black eyes were filled with love. He stretched out his long arm and pulled her into his embrace.

Out of Audrey’s sight, Dylan’s cold eyes were filled with bloodthirsty menace, but his voice was indescribably gentle. “Don’t

I worry. No matter who wants to kill you, I will protect you well!”

“Not being able to protect her properly seven years ago is the biggest regret of my life, he thought.

When the two of them arrived at the airport, Richard had already collected the tickets and was waiting at the VIP entrance. Audrey initially thought she was going alone, but unexpectedly, Dylan would also go to ladale City with her.

“You’re going to ladale City too?” Audrey frowned slightly, her tone carrying a hint of coolness as she spoke. “You don’t want to recover from the injury on your back, huh?”

“I’m worried about you and afraid that the person secretly acting against you will attack you at any moment. During this period, I’ll go wherever you go. Don’t even think about leaving me aside. Dylan looked at Audrey coldly and stubbornly, not giving in at all.

With that said, he added, “It won’t work even if you want to leave me behind. It’s not just in Chritonia. Even if you go overseas, don’t even think about leaving me behind this time!”

Audrey glanced at the man in front of her. Her cold eyes flickered slightly before she said indifferently. “Up to you.”

Dylan heaved a sigh of relief. His cold and tense lips slowly curved into a pleased smile.

Even though the wound on his back ached faintly, he still felt it was worth it.

The seats that Dylan asked Richard to arrange were first–class seats.

Other than the two of them, the other seats in the first–class cabin were occupied by Richard and his subordinates.

After boarding the plane, Dylan asked Audrey to sit by the window. Then, he thoughtfully took out a pair of disposable slippers and took Audrey’s feet over to take off her shoes.

Richard and the others in the first–class cabin were stunned when they saw their usually high–and–mighty boss doing that. Then, they turned their heads and looked elsewhere,

Audrey pulled her foot back slightly.

“Don’t move!” Dylan grabbed Audrey’s moving foot and helped her take off her shoe. Then, he put on the disposable slipper. After setting that foot down, he picked up the other foot and put on another slipper for her.

This was clearly the first time he did such a thing, but he was so familiar with it that it was as if he had done it a thousand times. His every move was smooth and natural.

He looked at Audrey with an indulgent and doting gaze.

Audrey glanced at Dylan, who had already returned to his seat beside her. As if everything was spontaneous, he asked gently.. “Do you want to take a nap? It’s still two to three hours until we reach ladale City”

Audrey glanced at Dylan and lowered her eyes slightly.

Dylan was not annoyed. He just asked the air stewardess to bring a blanket over. Then, he draped it over Audrey.

“Drape it over for a while. The air conditioning on the plane is set a bit low.”

Audrey did not refuse his good intentions. Initially, she just wanted to close her eyes and rest, but the cool woody fragrance next to her made her fall asleep unknowingly.

In her daze, she felt someone holding her hand tightly, their fingers interlocked.

During the flight, an air stewardess came over to ask passengers about the food they wanted. As she saw the distinguished and handsome Dylan straighten his back even on the plane and stare at the sleeping Audrey beside him affectionately, she could not help but take a few more glances.

Just as she was about to walk over, she was stopped by Dylan’s subordinate.

The air stewardess took another look at the distinguished Dylan before leaving.

Over two hours later, the plane landed at ladale City International Airport.
