Chapter 26 Her Name Is Luna and She Has Serious Mental Illness

It was 6:30 p. m. in Los Angeles when Jason arrived home.

Daisy told Jason that Luna ate very little at dinner. After Luna took a bath and got changed into her

pajamas, she went to her bedroom. Before she fell asleep, she listened to Daisy's story of funny

moments at school.

Jason smiled faintly.

"I'll go see her."

Luna was familiar to the sound of Jason's footsteps. She sat up with the support of her hands and

waited for Jason to open the door.

Luna never mentioned divorce these years due to her gratitude for Jason's company.

It was Jason who rescued Luna from the burning hospital. Jason bribed the coroner into reporting

Luna's death. Luna was now using the identity of a dead woman in the fire called Mina Hutcheon.

When Luna was saved, she was in terrible health. She was seldom somber and suffered from severe

depression and anxiety. As a result, she had a miscarriage. She often had a high fever in the middle of

the night, which would last for several days.

Jason took care of her every day.

Luna did not love Jason and hated him for taking away her freedom with the marriage. But she had to

admit that he stubbornly loved and looked after her.

When Luna recovered from her burns, she wanted to find Cindy. But Brodie had took Cindy and

Jessica away.

Brodie was wealthy enough to find medical professionals all over the world. He would definitely be able

to provide better treatment for Cindy.

Brodie recognized Cindy as his daughter.

Their relationship had broken up. She would be an idiot to return to Brodie.

Luna was like usual when she was somber. But whenever she missed Cindy, she would be insane.

Right after Jason brought her back from the hospital, he did not lock her up in the room. One day Luna

took a knife and looked crazily for Cindy from house to house. After she got somber, she couldn't

remember why she had brought the knife at that moment. Maybe she intended to protect Cindy or

wished to eliminate her illness. She only remembered that she had been shouting.

"Cindy, mom's here for you!

"Cindy, don't be afraid. Mom will keep you alive!"

After Luna woke up, she shut herself in her room and didn't dare to come out again.

Even going downstairs seemed to be tough for her. Jason felt sorry for Luna. His neighbors came to

complain and claim compensation for mental anguish. Some just called the police. The policemen

came for several times to investigate what happened.

Jason clearly remembered what Luna looked like when the policemen arrived.

She hid in the bedroom, trembling and not daring to move. Sitting in a corner, she was extremely afraid

and timid.

Jason got frightened.

He no longer dared to leave Luna alone in the room.
