Now, Lama and Finnegan were four years old. However, the Qualls had never visited them even once.

Luna called out to Lorraine out of nowhere. She had a nightmare in which Lorraine lett her and Finnegan.
She had finally found a mother, but Lorraine was already leaving. That made Lama very anxious. So, she cried hard and yelled out for Lorraine, trying to make her stay.
Luna’s mumblings palled Logan back from his trance. He rose quickly and walked over to the bed.
Before he could soothe Loma, Lorraine rolled to the side immediately with her eyes still shut and patted the little girl gently

Lorraine’s comforting voice worked like magic. Before long Luna stopped calling out for Lorraine in her sleep.
When Lorraine opened her eyes, she saw Logan standing by the bed. She said, “It’s fine. Luna’s just having a nightmare. Go ahead and sleep. I’m holding Luna, so she won’t have bad dreams anymore.”
