Unexpected Encounter with my Boss (Vincent and Tiffany)

Chapter 106

Vincent glanced at Tiffany, then held out his hand toward Eric. He was polite and friendly. "Hello."

"I heard that you're friendly and approachable. I see the words are true. No wonder you were able to establish Lewis Group from nothing and build it up to its current scale," Eric said smarmily. Tiffany felt awkward and turned away.

In the end, Eric only stopped talking when Teresa said they had to leave.

However, he still took out a name card and handed it to Vincent. "Mr. Lewis, I heard you've bought that piece of land in the south of the city.

"WS Corp will give you value for your money, and we guarantee excellent service. Our company is just not very well-known yet. If we have a chance to work with Lewis Group, it would be an honor." Vincent paused, then took the card. "I'll consider it."

"Thank you, Mr. Lewis. We'll get going, then," Eric said.

He remembered to turn and address Tiffany, "Tiff, Teresa and I are going home. Why don't you swing by this weekend? I'll make fish stew for you."

...

As soon as they left the hospital, Eric's face dropped. He pulled his hand out from Teresa's hold and scolded her, "What's wrong with you? I wasn't done talking to Mr. Lewis yet. Why did you say that you wanted to leave?" Teresa frowned. "Didn't you see Tiff's expression?"

"What of it? She told us to make dinner, and we sent it over specially. We're helping her to get into Mr. Lewis' good books, and she's unhappy about it?"This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

"Tiff hasn't been at the company for long. If you annoy Mr. Lewis, she's the one who'll suffer. Besides, you don't know him very well. It may not be a good idea to talk so much..."

"What do you know?" Eric raised his voice. "This is how you do business! How can you earn money if you're not a little thick-skinned?

"That's why people like you will be stuck running a tiny stall forever or just being a housewife. You'll never amount to anything, and you'll never do anything impressive!"

Teresa felt inferior. "That's just who I am. I'm not going to be able to change, but I hope that things will be different for Tiff..."

"Ha. Look at Tiffany and how cautious she is. I'll eat my hat if she ever amounts to anything!"

"You..." Teresa's eyes reddened. She was angry. It never bothered her when Eric insulted her, but she couldn't stand it when he talked bad about Tiffany.

"Fine, fine! Get in the car, and let's go home!" Eric pulled the car door open and got into the driver's seat.

He took out his phone and began boasting to his colleagues on their group chat. He made it sound like it was already set in stone, even though there had been no such

promise on Vincent's part.

His colleagues' compliments inflated Eric's ego even more. But then, he turned and saw Teresa standing outside the car, looking angrily at him. "Aren't you getting in?" he asked impatiently, frowning.

His phone chimed with a message One of his colleagues asked, "Eric since you got such a big order, aren't you going to buy us a round drinks?"

Since someone had started, the rest began clamoring.

"That's right! This is great news! You'll be a shoo-in for deputy manager after this!" "I'll vote for Eric!"

"Eric, we'll congratulate you in advance. Where shall we go for dinner tonight?"

Eric was about to explode with pride. He quickly wrote, "Alright, my treat. I'll be over soon." "You're not allowed to go!" Teresa said.

Eric looked impatiently at her. "I'm buying my friends a couple of drinks. Don't interfere."

He stepped on the gas pedal and sped off.

"Eric!" Teresa ran after him. She didn't notice a car turning the corner and almost got run over.

The car braked with a loud screeching sound.

Teresa fell to the ground. When she looked up, she saw Eric drive straight out of the hospital without even stopping.

The car door opened, and the driver got out with another man. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?"

Teresa was stunned by his loud

voice. When she looked closely, she saw how aggressive the two men looked, especially the one behind the driver. They didn't look like pleasant people.

"I'm sorry..." Teresa wanted to get up, but pain pierced her knee as soon as she tried. She fell down as soon as she managed to stand up.

At that moment, a pair of hands reached out to steady her. "Are you hurt?"
