Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 600

"Who are you?" Everly asked lifelessly.

"It's Wade. We met at Nightless Haven, remember?" The man's tone sounded a little menacing.

His words reminded her of the time she and Marcus went to Nightless Haven. Wade was a bald fat man. He looked like a pervert. His daughter was older than Everly, yet he laid a hand on her!

"Anything I can help you with, Mr. Lowman?" she responded indifferently.

"I heard that you're in trouble and you need money. Be my lover, and I'll help you," he suggested.

If this had happened in the past, she would've yelled at him and hung up the call right away.

She wished to give her first time to the man she loved.

However, she was in a hopeless situation right now. "Could you help me pay off all my debts?"

He quickly said, "As long as you become my lover, of course, I can do that. It's not that much anyway. I can also buy you a house and a car."

His offer was enticing. Now that the herbs were ruined and Philip wouldn't help her, the loan sharks would be coming after her!

She didn't want to die!

She'd rather sell off her body than get killed by the loan sharks. As long as she kept it a secret, no one would know!

She made up her mind. "Okay. You'd better do as you promised."

The sneaky Wade quickly said, "I will. I'll share an address. See you later."

The call terminated. After glancing at the address, she got changed and left the house.

At this point, she thought that this matter would settle down after sleeping with Wade a few times. Little did she know that this was the start of the impending hell.

On the other hand, an upset Johnson walked out of Reinland Hospital. His eyes lit up when he saw the woman at the gates.

The white snug dress warped her body perfectly, and her tress was braided and tied up. The golden sheen of sunshine cast on her, making her look nothing short of a goddess. Her beauty was surreal.

He pinched his cheek to come back to his senses before approaching her. "What brings you here, Ms. Youngworth?"

She looked back at him. "That's too formal of you. Just call my name."

He brushed his nose awkwardly. "Hera."

celebrity crush. It took everything in him to stop himself from acting like a fanboy.

"Something wrong?" Hera asked.

Johnson recalled what the deputy director said in the office.

"Dr. Shadow is a skillful doctor, but she hasn't had a successful case of waking up a patient from a coma. Spencer McQueen is a prominent psychiatrist in Miridian and has woken

en up ten patients from a coma

before. But not even he has a

solution. This means Mr. Presgrave

is unlikely to wake up.

"Stop wasting your time on this. This surgery is bound to fail. I can't borrow you the operating room and medical equipment. I hope you can understand my situation, Mr. Chime."

Hera needed an operating room and

huge medical equipment for

Harvey's surgery. Youngworth

Miracle Clinic didn't have those facilities. Besides, the GE 3.0T MRÌ machine was essential for the surgery. It would take at least three

months for the made-to-order machine to be delivered from

abroad.

However, it would be too late for the surgery. That was why Johnson volunteered to look for it for Hera.

He originally thought he could secure an operating room at the Chime family's hospital. In the end, he realized that he had overestimated his position in the family.

The main family was strictly prohibiting those from the side families from getting involved in the affairs of the family business to the point where they weren't even allowed to book an operating room.

His silence gave the game away. Hera could tell the outcome right away. "Let's head back."
