Chapter 31
Robert replied, “Someone is working on it.”
At the mention of the surveillance, Melanie suddenly felt suffocated. Knowing she would be found out sooner or later, she’d rather confess first “Dean Ludden, it was me who posted the exam papers.”
As soon as Melanie’s words fell, Robert stared at her in astonishment while Christopher shot her a resentful glance in disbelief.
Only Hera remained untazed. She had guessed it from Melanie’s provocative gaze the moment they entered the office.
Calmly sitting down on the couch, Hera turned on her phone and continued playing Fip–and– March.
Christopher loathed Hera’s poor manners, yet at the same time, he gloated over the reprimand she would receive for that.
However, Andrew seemed oblivious to Hera’s behavior without a hint of displeasure.
“Melanie, you’re a teacher, after all. How could you do something so out of line?” Robert questioned,
“Out of line?” Melanie laughed, letting herself go. “I pointed out a student’s cheating behanor, upholding discipline at Cavenridge. What’s wrong with that? You, on the contrary, gave me a demerit, deducted my salary and bonus, and defended the cheating student. It’s against professional ethics!”
“Sure enough, I was right to give you a demerit! Robert reproached her. “This matter is not clear yet. We haven’t investigated it. Now that you posted the exam papers and the reporters photographed them, it’ll affect Cavenridge’s reputation. Your actions are extreme!”
“What’s not clear about it? Christopher is Cavenridge’s top student while Hera is a bumpkin from a rural village. It’s obvious who copied whose exam papers. What else is there to investigate?” Melanie asked thetorically.
“shut up!” Andrew slapped the desk
Melanie and Robert immediately stopped arguing.
Andrew looked at Melanie. “Melanie, what’s your purpose for doing this?“”
Melanie was overjoyed to hear this. As expected, Andrew wouldn’t tolerate cheating.
“Dean Ludden, my purpose is simple. As a teacher of Cavenridge, 1 should maintain the discipline and authority of the academy and prevent cheating and plagiarism Students who violate the rules should be severely punished,” Melanie said sonorously with her head up, looking upright.
Andrew nodded. “cheating should be punished.”
As these words echoed in Christopher’s ears, his heart skipped a beat
Dad…
“Call me Dean Lodden at the academy!” Andrew snapped.
“Dean Lodden…”
Apologize!”

Christopher’s legs went weak at Andrew’s authoritative command.
Melanie was secretly thrilled. Andrew was angry Hera was done for! Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
The next moment, Christopher lowered his head.
Melanie and Robert were both shocked
“Christopher, why are you looking guilty? Shouldn’t it be.” Melanie turned around, only to see Hera sitting on the couch, nonchalantly playing games on her phone.
This… Robert looked bewildered. Although he criticized Melanie’s behavior, he did think that Hera cheated. After all, she was transferred from a poor school with a lack of ducational resources.
When did it begin?” Andrew asked sullenly.
Christopher gazed at the floor with a miserable look, his eyes red. His lips parted and closed, but no words came out
Are you mute?” Andrew snapped.
‘F–Five years ago…” Christopher lifted his head, his expression timid.
“You! “Andrew raised his hand, wanting to hit Christopher. But considering outsiders were present, he could only put his hand down
