Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon)

Chapter 465

After Sherri had fallen asleep. Juana, Joy, and Hackett went to Natalie’s ward.

The door was gently pushed open and the three entered together. Meanwhile, they tiptoed as though

they were burglars..

As soon as they entered, they bumped into Rachel, who were about to leave. Rachel nodded at the

them and said to Joy, “Congratulations.

Joy held Rachel’s hand and said softly. “Congratulations to you too. Are you heading out now?”

Because Natalie was already asleep, Rachel said softly, “I’ll go home and make some creamy potato

soup for her.”

Hackett, who was following behind, greeted Rachel as well..

“Why didn’t you arrange for postpartum meals? Sherri doesn’t like to eat those. I guess you will have to

make some creamy potato soup for your two Little Princesses as well.

Rachel had exclusively tasked the two maids with looking after the children, without any request for

them to prepare postpartum meals. This decision was made in light of the fact that all arrangements

had been tailored to meet Natalie’s preferences.

Nevertheless, Rachel assumed responsibility for the postpartum needs, making dietary adjustments as

necessary.

Walking into the living room, she saw the two little ones happily playing on the couch. Hackett said,

“You shouldn’t bully Ruby, alright?

Jasper responded casually, “Hmm.”

Joy gently patted her son’s arm and said, “You’re a good kid, but you talk too much.”

Accompanied by Joy and Juana, Rachel entered the baby’s room. Since Hackett had already met the

two Little Princesses, he took a seat on the couch with them to engage in play.

With Natalie now asleep, Trevon found himself with some free time. Spotting Hackett’s arrival, he

approached and took a seat beside Jasper, wearing a smile as he remarked, “It looks like your

daughter has taken a liking to my son.”

Hackett said protectively, “You’re overthinking it. Don’t even think about making a move on my little

darling.”

Trevon struck back by saying, “I have two little darlings.”

Hackett pondered the unfairness of life, questioning how a man like Trevon would be blessed with two

daughters.

Seeing Hackett’s defeat, Trevon basked in his own victory. With great pleasure, he said, “If your

daughter really likes my son, I wouldn’t mind accepting him. Your daughter is more likable than you,

anyway.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself. Dream on!” Hackett retorted in frustration.

As Hackett seethed with anger, Trevon’s smile grew even wider.

In the baby’s room, Joy could not stop praising when she saw the two identical little ones, “Rachel, you

are truly blessed. These two kids are so precious, and they look so much like Trevon.”

Rachel looked at the two little ones, who were peacefully asleep. At times, their lips would twitch, and

their eyes would be half–open, indicating their contentment. “They resemble Trevon more, but their

mouths are like Natalie’s.”

Juana, a chatty person, had watched Natalie grow up since childhood. Now, seeing Natalie in such a

joyful and loving home. she felt a sense of happiness too. “Natalie has faced challenges from a young

age. It appears that fate is just, and she’s finally finding the happiness she’s earned.”

Rachel grasped the meaning behind Juana’s words but decided to remain silent, offering only a subtle

smile. Once the group had visited the children, they departed quietly. Meanwhile, the maids within the

room remained an unseen presence, watching but not intervening.

Outside the room, Joy told her son, “Let’s go home and make creamy potato soup. You keep an eye on

Sherri, eh? If she isn’t taken care of properly, you’ll see me unleash my wrath” Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Hackett replied, “Alright, you should hurry and leave; otherwise, Sherri won’t get to have creamy potato

soup.”

After the trio had departed, Hackett began to suspect that Trevon might have hidden intentions

concerning his daughter. To alleviate his worries, he persuaded Ruby to return home with him by

explaining that her younger brother was searching for

her.

It was highly unlikely that a newborn baby who had only arrived a few days ago would be searching for

Ruby, but Hackett devised this explanation nonetheless,

Then, Natalie stayed in the hospital for several days, and Sherri also stayed a few extra days, just to be

together with her best friend. Meanwhile, visitors from the two wards could visit each other.

If Natalie and Sherri went through their postpartum recovery separately, they would not be able to see

each other for two

months. It was worth noting that, since they first niet, they had never been separated for more than a

week.

Upon seeing Jasper sleeping in the ward, Ruby resolved not to depart. She was resolute in her

decision to remain at the heispital, and Hackett could only grant her permission to stay.

Rose and Edward visited Natale and Sherri as soon as they finished work. Since the last conversation

between Bone and Fdward, Ethward would now sit down for a few minutes to chat with Trevon before

leaving

The children’s room at the Wilson’s residence had been set up well in advance during Natalie’s

pregnancy, but it had remained untouched. This was because Trevon had voiced his preference for the

baby to sleep in the same room, allowing him to be involved in feeding, changing diapers, and

nighttime care.

Theo was delighted with his grandson’s choice and gave his wholehearted approval. It was evident that

he empathized wit the challenges Natalie had experienced, and without delay, he directed servants to

relocate the couch from Trevor’s room and arrange two cradles in the same space.

The room’s door swung open, and it was not the maids or Trevon but Natalie’s godmother, Lena.

“Natalie

Natalie, who was breastfeeding on the bed, was taken aback. “Lena?”

Ever since Mel had left. Lena had been staying alone at the Foster’s residence. Natalie had suggested

several times during her stay there for Lena to move in with her at Phoenix Manor, but Lena was

adamant about staying at the Foster’s residence. She even refused Natalie’s offer to hire a caregiver

for her.

Natalie chose not to inform Lena about her childbirth during her hospital stay because Lena had

theumatoid arthritis in ber legs. Her intention was not only to spare her godmother from the

inconvenience of frequent trips but also to shield Lena from witnessing her immediately after surgery to

prevent any unnecessary worry.

Natalie had planned for Trevon to pick up Lena when they returned home after giving birth. However, it

had been less than an hour since they arrived home, and Lena was already at the Wilson’s residence.

Lena approached the bedside, casting a glance at the baby cradled in Natalie’s arms and then at the

child in the crib. She scolded gently, “You, my dear, how could you keep something as significant as

childbirth a secret from me? Do you still consider me your godmother?”

Tears welled up in Lena’s eyes as she spoke. After all, she had witnessed Natalie’s growth from a

young age and had played a role in raising her. In essence, Natalie was like a daughter to her, and no

mother should be kept in the dark when her daughter gives birth. The thought weighed heavily on her

heart, and she could not help but blame her own troublesome legs.

Natalie reached out to wipe away Lena’s tears, saying. “Lena, I’m sorry. I just didn’t want too many

people worrying But, look, isn’t everything fine? Take a look at your granddaughter. Isn’t she adorable

Natalie tried to play good. Hearing that, Lena wiped away her tears, leaning in for another look at the

baby “She’s beautiful. Your grandfather and Jenny will be delighted when they find out.”

‘Lena, let’s live together from now on. I’m really worried about you living alone.”

Lena responded, “Okay, I will listen to you this time. You know, Theo is a kind man. He fetched me to

stay here while you were in the hospital, saying he didn’t want you to be concerned. He assured me

that I could leave whenever you decided to leave the Wilson’s residence. Are you feeling reassured

now?”

Lena’s voice quivered with emotion. Indeed, living at Phoenix Manor had been Theo’s idea as well. He

had mentioned that Natalie enjoyed the sense of home there, and for elderly individuals like them, it

was wiser to reside under the watchful eyes of the younger generation. This way, the younger ones

could take care of them, and everyone could find happiness and peace

Hearing Lena’s words, Natalie was certainly delighted

At the moment, the person Natalie was most worried about was indeed Lena, and she could not help

but marvel at how observant Theo was

At night.

A group of people entered the room energetically, prompting those in the living room to swiftly rise and

greet them

Even Theo got up, leaning on his cane as he hurried over to greet them ‘Oh my, why didn’t any of you

call Trevon to pack you up

Daniel walked briskly to Theo, holding the old man’s wrinkly ham! “We all know the way here, and we

can manage on out own. There’s no need to trouble Trevon Besides, Natalie just gave birth, and I’ve

heard she has to wake up wveral tas at right”

Theo was quite pleased with this, though he did not openly praise it in front of his in–laws. “That’s what
