Ethan POV

I woke up and it’s already 12 noon. I remember last night that Agatha was here and I talked to her but maybe I was just mimicking because I was drunk.

I got up and went down to eat. I called one of my housemates. Why Sir? “She asked me.

“Was Agatha here last night?” I asked her.

“Yes Sir she came last night and was looking for you and she also took you to your room. But she also left early in the morning because her boss called her.”

I nodded, so I’m not imagining or dreaming. She was really here last night and I was with her. Why did I get drunk? I started eating because I was also hungry.

Then when I finished eating I decided to go swimming because I hadn’t taken a bath yet, so I ordered my housemate to bring me a towel and juice. When I arrived at the pool area, I took off my shirt and jumped into the pool.

The water is relaxing because of the heat coming from the sun. It’s a good thing I’m not in the office now because I’ve finished the things I need to do. I also didn’t get enough sleep last time due to deadlines.

“Ethan.”

While I was in the water I suddenly heard her voice.

“Agatha.” I exclaimed happily and went up into the water.

She smiled at me. “Hi, how are you?” she asked me.

“Why did you come here? Do you need something?” I asked her.

“I need to tell you something so I went back here.”

“Sure, you know that you are welcome in this house anytime. So what do you want to say? Is it good news or bad news? ” I asked her.

“I’ve been able to think straight Ethan, I know you love me and I love you too, but maybe this isn’t the right time for us.”

My mood suddenly changed because of what she said. “What do you mean? Didn’t I tell you that I’m ready to wait so you don’t have to hurry about that. ” I said emphatically.

“I know that but it’s not that easy. I’m happy to know that we both feel the same way about each other. Who would have thought that Ethan Hernandez would like me or love me right? Eh, I’m just a simple woman and I’m not like the women around who are praising and dreaming to be with you. ”

“And I don’t care about them because I only want you.” I seriously promise.

“But I’ve already decided, this is not easy for me but it is necessary. W-we can’t, we can’t be together Ethan. ”

I could hardly believe what I heard, was she serious about what she was saying?

She touched my face to calm me down. Who wouldn’t be annoyed by what she is saying? We both love each other and then she would say that we can’t be together? I don’t get her.

“I’m leaving.”

“W-what? Where are you going?” I quickly asked her.

“You know I have a job, don’t you?”

“Oh what has your work got to do with us?” I asked him.

“I need to leave and I’ll be gone for a long time. I don’t know when I’ll be able to return.”

I shook my head. “I-I thought you loved me.” I said softly.

“Yes I do, I really love you Ethan.”

“If you love me, why are you leaving? Why are you leaving me again? ” I asked her.

“I am doing this not only for myself but for the two of us. I have to choose myself first Ethan, I don’t want to miss this opportunity because it is one of my dreams for myself and that is what I can achieve in life. ”

“I don’t understand, I don’t understand you Agatha. I don’t know why you even have to leave.” I said weakly.

“I need this for myself.”

“But I need you too, Agatha! I need you in my life.” I said seriously.

I can’t quite imagine that she will leave me again, after she left me for almost 3 years then now she will say goodbye again.

“My job is a big opportunity for me, this is what I want and dream of. This is the big break of my career Ethan. I need this job because the boards have entrusted it to me. I need to stay on the site until we finish the resort and hotel projects. That’s why I left earlier to talk to my boss and he told me that there is no certainty when I will be back here. I don’t want you to wait without any assurance.”

I saw her stand up and take her small bag. “Just continue your life Ethan. You know that I have always supported you in everything. Take care of yourself. Always remember that I love you and I mean it. Maybe this is not the right time for us and if our paths cross again what I feel about you will not change. I’m sorry if I will choose to leave you again but I prefer my dream first and I know you will understand me one day. ” she said last and walked away, away from my life.

I was just staring at where she came out, I couldn’t move my foot to follow and stop her. I don’t know why I loved someone like her who did nothing but turn away and leave me always. Why can’t she choose me when I am always choosing her over everything?

I don’t know if I will believe what she said that she loves me, because it seems like it’s easy for her to leave me, I feel like she’s just playing with me and my feelings.

I love her, dearly dearly but I don’t know if this is worth it. I feel like she just wasted my love for her. I said I was ready to wait but she gave up immediately.

I don’t want to rely on words from her anymore because I don’t know if I will still believe her, she said she wouldn’t leave me but she did it again.

I am now starting to hate you Agatha.
